'Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans vs. Favorites' votes out Alexandra "Allie" Pohevitz

Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans vs. Favorites' Gota "Fans" tribe eliminated Alexandra "Allie" Pohevitz, a 25-year-old bartender from Oceanside, NY, from their tribe during Wednesday night's second episode of the CBS reality series' 26th edition.


Allie was voted out of her tribe at the season's second Tribal Council, the first elimination vote for Gota.

"I had a lot more game to play. It's just so frustrating because this is what I wanted and I just -- it sucks. I've been wanting to play this game for half my life and I wanted this since I was 11-years-old. I'm mortified beyond words that I'm leaving second. I had such a good time playing this. Ugh, it sucks!" Allie said following her ouster.

Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans vs. Favorites' second broadcast began on Night 3 with the Bikal "Favorites" tribe returning from the prior Tribal Council session. 

The Bikal tribe consisted of Brenda Lowe, a 30-year-old paddleboard company owner from Miami, FL; John Cochran, a 25-year-old law student from Washington, DC; Phillip Sheppard, a 54-year-old in software sales from Santa Monica, CA; Malcolm Freberg, a 25-year-old bartender from Hermosa Beach, CA; Brandon Hantz, a 21-year-old in chemical disposal from Katy, TX; Andrea Boehlke, a 23-year-old entertainment host and writer from New York; Corinne Kaplan, a 33-year-old clinical consultant from Los Angeles; Dawn Meehan, a 42-year-old English professor from South Jordan, UT; and Erik Reichenbach, a 27-year-old comic book artist from Santa Clarita, CA.


Dawn -- who had turned on Brandon and Erik to vote out Francesca Hogi at the night's Tribal Council -- talked to Brandon about what happened, and Brandon said her decision was the "harshest thing" he's ever seen done in his life considering Francesca had been voted out of Survivor first for a second time. Brandon told Dawn he was passionate about the idea she'd end up losing the game all because of her "stupid move."

Dawn got emotional but tried to get a grip on things so her tribe wouldn't see her crying. Dawn said she was trying very hard not to disrespect people, and she couldn't believe someone had called her "mean." However, Dawn realized it didn't matter what Brandon thought of her, calling his actions toward other people "pollution."

Brandon was completely heated over the circumstance of Francesca's ouster. He admitted he was feeling "revengeful" and told Erik he was thinking about going "Russell Hantz style" on the tribe because he was so pissed off. He said he had the ability to make Russell, his uncle, "look like a little b-tch" and play a dirty game down to the core. He said he wanted to go out with a bang since his days were clearly numbered.

On Day 4, the Gota tribe was struggling to get along as a cohesive unit.

The Gota tribe was comprised of Allie; Laura Alexander, a 23-year-old administrative officer from Washington, DC; Sherri Biethman, a 41-year-old fast food franchisee from Boise, ID; Matt Bischoff, a 38-year-old in BMX bike sales from Cincinnati, OH; Hope Driskill, a 23-year-old pre-law student from Jefferson City, MO; Edward "Eddie" Fox, a 23-year-old fireman and EMT from East Brunswick, NJ; Julia Landauer, a 21-year-old racecar driver from Stanford, CA; Michael Snow, a 44-year-old event planner from New York; Shamar Thomas, a 27-year-old Iraq war veteran from Brooklyn, NY; and Reynold Toepfer, a 30-year-old in real estate sales from San Francisco, CA.


Shamar said once his tribe learned he didn't care about the game, he'd no longer be a threat in their eyes and therefore a target. However, his tribemates weren't seeing him an non-threatening, they were viewing him as downright lazy. Allie and the girls thought he was basically useless around camp and had to be the next to go if they were to go to Tribal Council again.

At this point in the game, the tribe's lines were drawn. Laura, Julia, Shamar, Mike, Matt, and Sherri were in a solid alliance together against the "pretty people" foursome -- Allie, Hope, Eddie, and Reynold. Sherri called the foursome the "couples and lovers." She then told Shamar she wasn't going to let him go anywhere because she secretly loved the fact he was annoying everybody.

Meanwhile, Brandon over at Bikal's camp felt much further down on the totem pole than when the game had started. He said he wanted to sabotage everything by spilling his tribe's beans and losing challenges for them for example. Brandon intended to show his tribemates what it would be like playing without him.

"One of the more frightening things about Brandon's personality is that he has these moments of extreme rage and they're almost immediately followed by unbelievable pleasantness. This sort of behavior is befitting a murderer who is kind of a sociopath. The only thing I can predict about Brandon is that he's going to be unpredictable and that gives me very little solace in the game when predictability really is everything," Cochran explained.

Phillip then told cameras Brandon was narcissistic, saying his behavior was "disturbing and crazy" because he had no empathy for other people. Brandon didn't think too highly of Phillip either. Brandon was telling some of his tribemates that Phillip was "being a bully" and "treating people like garbage." Brandon said that Phillip was trying to act like a leader similar to Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano and he didn't like it.


On Day 5, the castaways met Survivor host Jeff Probst, who then explained the rules to what would be their second Immunity and Reward Challenge.

The two tribes learned that three members from each tribe would be required to race to a raft and then three other castaways would pull that raft out to a platform and dive down where they'd find a cage. Those players must remove bamboo sticks in the water, releasing rings. Once all nine rings are collected, the tribemates would be pulled back to shore and the  remaining three tribe members would then use those rings -- attempting to land them on a post.

The first tribe to get one ring on each of their three posts would win immunity and be safe from the vote at the upcoming Tribal Council session, while the losing tribe would be forced to vote off one of its own members. In addition, the winning tribe would win Reward in the form of a fishing kit complete with line, nets, a mask, fins, and snorkel.

The Gota tribe sat out Laura since they had an extra member.

In the end, Phillip nailed the last ring on behalf of the "Favorites" tribe, so Bikal won immunity and Reward.


"I was thinking less about the loss and more that Shamar has gotta go. He's a cancer. Everyone unanimously thinks that he's disrespectful, he's lazy, he doesn't contribute, and he ruffles feathers for no reason. Tonight's vote is an obvious vote for Shamar," Reynold said after the challenge.

Once both tribes returned to their separate camps, the Bikal "Favorites" tribe was thrilled they had won. Phillip named Malcolm "the enforcer" in addition to giving his other alliance members nicknames, and Malcolm said Phillip thought he was running a spy corporation and was getting ridiculous.

Meanwhile, Reynold called Shamar out in front of the Gota tribe. Reynold said Shamar's behavior was not acceptable and he was acting childish. "Let it be childish," Shamar replied.

Allie was praying Shamar would be going home. Reynold then announced he was going to vote for Shamar in the hopes others would follow suit. Shamar said he could see right through Reynold's plan, as Reynold was allegedly trying to make a scene to make Shamar look bad so people would vote with his small foursome alliance and sway other castaways' opinions.

Matt was then deciding what move to make at Tribal Council. He said his large alliance, which was comprised of Sherri and Shamar, would still have a 5-4 advantage if they got rid of the "lazy" Shamar. Matt noted that even if they got rid of Shamar, the alliance of four still wouldn't know he had flipped on them due to the fact Allie and Reynold's alliance presumed everyone would be voting for Shamar for obvious reasons.


However, Laura had a different plan and suggested they should eliminate Allie because she was a strategic threat and the only one of the "cool kids' lunch table" alliance who was actually thinking. Meanwhile, Reynold went looking for a hidden Immunity Idol, and surprisingly, he found it in the bottom of a tree trunk.

"It is absolute freaking nuts that I just found this... I'm like really excited right now, so I'm just trying to check myself, be smart about it, you know? -- Not walk back to camp with some huge stupid grin on my face and a bulge in my pocket," Reynold said.

A perceptive Laura then noticed a bulge in Reynold's pocket once he put his pants on for Tribal Council. She picked up on it and wondered whether it was going to wreck her plan to get rid of Allie.

"We all know that Allie and Reynold are close and there's definitely a possibility that he could pass it to her and save her butt, and we're trying to get her off. And if he has that idol and passes it to Allie, then it will be Shamar going home and not Allie, and that would screw us over. I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one that knows, but at this point, there's really not enough time to talk to the rest of our alliance. So I'm freaking out a little bit," Laura explained.

That night, Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans vs. Favorites' 10 members of the Gota tribe arrived for their first Tribal Council session -- the second session of the season overall.

According to Shamar, Eddie and Hope seemed like a couple and Allie and Reynold just seemed part of the foursome. Matt announced he wasn't "majorly concerned" about any power couples coming about in the game.


Jeff then asked Shamar how his experience differed from serving as a marine, and Shamar explained Survivor was more of an individual game while the military has team leaders and such. Reynold then said the tribemates were all frustrated with Shamar and could give 25 examples of his laziness. Shamar disputed Reynold's claim and suggested he was just an outcast in the tribe because he was "a big loud guy."

Afterward, Laura called out the fact there was a bulge in someone's pocket. She didn't say who directly but Jeff pointed out she was staring right at Reynold when she shared the news. Reynold, caught offguard, then revealed his hidden Immunity Idol and reminded his tribemates he was playing to beat the "Favorites."

Reynold declared he was playing the idol at that specific Tribal Council session in order to just be done with it. He then sarcastically congratulated his tribe for flushing the idol out long before the merge when they'd probably need it. Before voting commenced, Laura noted she was hoping her alliance would vote as a family.

Jeff then revealed the votes. Four people voted for Shamar and six castaways voted to oust Allie from Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans vs. Favorites.

Eddie, Allie, Hope, and Reynold predictably voted for Shamar while the rest of the players vote for Allie.
