Ethan Zohn's cancer scare is apparently on the verge of having its torch snuffed.

"Last week I had my PET scan, which is the first big test since I started chemotherapy to tell whether it's working or it's not working.  It was pretty nerve-racking," said the Survivor: Africa winner in the latest installment of his People video diary, which was posted Thursday.

"I just got a call from the doctor and she said that the scan looks fine, and there's no new cause for concern."

Zohn revealed in May that he had been diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's disease, a cancer of the body's lymphatic system.  He subsequently began an "altered, more aggressive" three-month chemotherapy schedule and recently told People his final chemotherapy session will be Friday.

"I see the light at the end of the tunnel," he told People.

The 35-year-old said he'll receive a "major rundown" on how he's currently doing during his Friday appointment, and People added he expects to undergo radiation even after the chemotherapy is finished.

Zohn won Survivor: Africa -- the CBS reality show's Fall 2001 third season -- and subsequently competed on its All-Stars edition in 2004.

He is currently dating Survivor: Amazon winner Jenna Morasca, who was by his side in his latest video diary smiling and giving a big thumbs up when Zohn revealed the good news.
