Survivor: China's premiere broadcast was Thursday night's most-watched program with an average of 15.35 million total viewers and was also the No. 1 show on television in several key demographics.

The premiere broadcast of Survivor's fifteenth installment finished first in its Thursday 8-9PM time period in the Adults 18-49 demographic with a 5.0/15 rating/share and was also the time period's top show among households (9.0/15 rating/share); Adults 25-54 (6.1/17 rating/share); and Adults 18-34 (3.3/11 rating/share), according to Live Plus Same Day ratings data from Nielsen Media Research.
In addition, Survivor: China was Thursday night's No. 1 program among average total viewers, Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-34.
Survivor: China's premiere as well as repeat broadcasts of CSI (9-10PM) and Without a Trace (10-11PM) made CBS No. 1 for the night in average total viewers (13.58 million); households (8.6/14 rating/share); Adults 18-49 (3.9/11 rating/share); and Adults 25-54 (5.1/13 rating/share).
Despite the good start, Survivor: China's 15.35 million viewer average also ranks the broadcast as Survivor's least watched premiere.

Last spring's debut of Survivor: Fiji was previously the long-running reality show's least watched premiere, averaging 16.68 million viewers. Fiji was also down compared to Survivor: Cook Islands' Fall 2006 debut, which averaged 18.00 million total viewers.
