Survivor castaway Ciera Eastin apparently wants a partner in crime for Cambodia: Second Chance, but that might be difficult considering she's not quick to trust even the castaways close to her family outside of the game.

"In past seasons, the winners are normally someone aligned early on in the game: [Tyson Apostol] and [Gervase Peterson], [Natalie Tenerelli] and [Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano], [Russell Hantz] and [Natalie White]. I'm trying to find someone early where I can say, 'You and I, we can't trust anyone, but we need to make it to the end,'" Eastin told Parade magazine.

"I learned how important it is to have that early alliance. I didn't start playing [Survivor: Blood vs. Water] until halfway through, and at that point, there were already stronger bonds than the bonds I had created. I felt like it was too late."

Eastin became extremely tight with Vytas Baskauskas during their stint on Survivor: Blood vs. Water. While he's like family to her at this point, she's not sure Baskauskas can be the person she depends fully on throughout the game.

"He knows me. He knows how I play. He knows how I am. There's no faking him. I can't put on an act. He's someone out here who will see through it. I want to work with Vytas to a certain point. I think we can help each other out. But I think ultimately Vytas knows he can beat me. And I think he's out for some type of revenge, because me and my mom outlasted him and his brother," she explained.

And Eastin called Monica Padilla, who is close with her mother Laura Morett, too "sneaky" for her liking.

"For some reason, I just don't see us playing together or getting along. I can't put my finger on it. I think she's a little sneaky. I think my mom would tell me, 'Hey, you can trust Monica...' I could be totally wrong -- we could be best friends -- but I don't see us working together," she explained.

One thing is for sure though. Eastin doesn't want to ride coattails this time around or be somebody's passenger.

So whom might Eastin consider pairing up with in Cambodia? Potentially Stephen Fishbach, the runner-up of Survivor: Tocantins.

"I would like to work with him. I feel like we have a connection. I played with Tyson, and he played with Tyson. Maybe we'll have some common ground there. I think we'll get along. I think he's smart. I think he's under the radar," Eastin explained, adding that she also has Kelley Wentworth in mind from San Juan del Sur.

"We both played with loved ones, her with her dad and me with my mom, and we're both from the Pacific Northwest... I don't want to get too labelly. I could fall in love with [Kass McQuillen]. I just don't know!"

Eastin doesn't think voting her mother out in Blood vs. Water will hurt her game, however, she's concerned about people viewing her as a flipper early on.

"I'm going to hit the beach running," she told Parade. "I want to leave it all out there. I feel like I have such unfinished business."
