Jaime Dugan and Erik Huffman may have had their torches snuffed as Survivor: China castaways, but that doesn't mean they weren't able to spark a romantic relationship.

"It was worth eating snails and worms," Dugan told People in a Friday report.
The former Survivor: China castaways got engaged a couple of months ago in Charleston, SC when Huffman popped the question during a fake photo shoot he had staged.
"When I turned around and saw him on his knee, I thought he was doing a really weird pose," Dugan told People. "Slowly it started to sink in. I was thrilled."
The couple met while filming the CBS reality show's fifteenth season in 2007 when they found themselves as original members of the Zhan Hu tribe and learned they grew-up only 25 miles apart in South Carolina. Dugan eventually became the seventh Survivor: China castaway given the boot while Huffman was the eleventh.

Both played coy about the nature of their relationship during separate post-elimination interviews with Reality TV World, however Huffman told People he had contacted Dugan the day after they returned from filming and asked her out to dinner.
"Life has been a whirlwind ever since," he told People.
After getting engaged they entered a Charleston-based wedding contest and recently learned they were one of four finalists with the chance to win a wedding package valued at roughly $80,000.
"[It's] to help make our wedding dreams come true," said Huffman in their video submission.
The results of the contest will be revealed next month.
