"It surprised me that people thought I was such a huge threat that I needed to go as soon as they could marshal the votes. Eighteen votes, if I can count. That's an accomplishment!" Christian said in his final words.
"It makes me feel big. It makes me feel formidable, like, a person who has earned the respect of his colleagues. So, maybe I should respect myself more as a consequence."
Survivor: David vs. Goliath, Episode 13

Davie had warned Christian to play his idol at the previous Tribal Council, and given he received five votes, he knew he was a target for someone people, including Nick.

Christian had suspected Nick's motives for a while because his former close ally was being dishonest.
Nick wanted to find the hidden Immunity Idol since Christian had played it and it was put back in the game. Nick decided to plant a fake idol so he would be the only one off looking for a real one. It had the parchment of his real idol as well as pieces he had collected over the past several weeks.
While at the raft with Angelina, Christian and Mike, nick planted the fake idol there so they could see him find it. Mike then told Kara about Nick's idol.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath, Day 33
On Day 33, Davie needed help to take out his "best frenemy in the game" so he warned Christian that Nick had two idols and they needed to take him out immediately or else he'd pick them off one after the next.Christian was totally onboard because Nick was not in his corner.
The castaways then met Survivor host Jeff Probst for a Reward Challenge. The castaways, attaches to a rope, were required to race to gather that rope and then race over and under a series of obstacles. Each person then had to use sandbags to knock over a pyramid of blocks.
The winner would be taken via helicopter to a beach club, where he or she would have access to their entire menu -- including fried chicken and surf and turf. It was a big reward because the winner would be rejuvenated before the next Individual Immunity Challenge.
The challenge came down to Nick vs. Davie, and Davie won.

Davie then got to choose one person to join him on the Reward, and he selected Nick since he had chosen him for the family Reward.

Davie was then allowed to pick one more person to enjoy the beach club, and he chose Kara because she had been looking out for him ever since they were on the Vuku tribe together.
Angelina pleaded her case, saying she sat out of an Immunity Challenge to win rice for the tribe and she also picked him for the family Reward alongside Nick, so she was really disappointed.
Angelina said she realized Davie was playing the field and keeping his options open and it could've been a million dollar mistake. She was "legitimately pissed" Davie chose Kara over herself.
Angelina then made a giant pot of "revenge rice" at camp.
Meanwhile, Davie, Nick and Kara feasted on food. Davie's strategy was to keep his "frenemy" Nick and his "friend" Kara close.
During Reward, Davie told Kara that Nick might have two idols. She said Nick needed to go because he was a huge threat to everyone's game. Davie pitched working with Alison and Christian to take him out, and Kara was drooling, thinking this would take her game to the next level.
Kara later shared the plan with Alison, telling her that they must leave Mike and Angelina out of the mix. Alison, however, spilled the beans to Mike in order to prove she wanted to work with him as a pair.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath, Day 34
On Day 34, as soon as the sun came up, Davie went looking for an idol again -- and he stumbled across a piece of blue cloth inside of a large stick that ended up being a clue to an advantage.Davie was then instructed to return to where the merge feast had been, and Davie ultimately found a hidden Immunity Idol.
However, Davie learned the idol was only good at the next Tribal Council unless he was willing to wager his next vote to increase its power.
There were four urns in front of him, and every time he selected the correct urn, he would extend the life of his idol by one Tribal Council. Davie could do this up to two times or until he loses his vote.
If Davie lost the vote, it could be a three-three tie. Davie considered playing the idol for Mike, Christian or himself.
Davie talked himself through all the possibilities and then called on God for the answer. Davie believed God gave him a sign through the wind blowing the fire away from the urns.
Davie decided not to play since losing his vote could mess up his plan to vote out Nick.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath, Day 35
On Day 35, the castaways gathered for the season's next Individual Immunity Challenge. Each player was required to stand on a narrow perch while balancing a ball on a wooden disk. At regular intervals, more balls would be added to make it more difficult. If a person dropped a ball or fell off the perch, he or she would be out.
The winner would be guaranteed a one in six shot of winning Survivor, while the next person voted out at Tribal Council would become the seventh member of the jury.
The challenge came down to Nick, Mike, and Alison. Nick then dropped, followed by Alison. Mike therefore won his first individual immunity, and he became less nervous about "swinging from the hip" to best serve his own game.

Later that day, Nick realized Alison was a huge physical threat and there were more Goliaths than Davids so it seemed like the right time to take her out.
Nick expressed his thoughts to Angelina and Kara, and they agreed. But Kara obviously had plans to blindside Nick. Nick then told Mike to gun for Alison.
However, Mike was still thinking Christian was the biggest threat in the game and so he attempted to rally votes from Alison, Kara and Nick to take out Christian.

Mike told Nick that Christian would definitely win if he made it to the end whereas they could beat Alison. Mike didn't think anyone was judging but it was the perfect time because Christian didn't have another idol or advantage to play.
Nick then shared with Davie the idol he found at the raft was fake. He was therefore afraid Alison had an idol.

Since Nick was honest with Davie, he decided to change his mind and put his vote on Alison. Davie anticipated everyone would vote for Alison.
In order to solidify the Christian vote, Mike warned Nick that Davie was gunning for him and he had secured Kara on his side. Mike suggested voting out Christian first and then Davie.
Nick said he must go after Davie. But mike asked Angelina, Kara and Nick to vote Christian.
"It seems like there are more possibilities than ever before," Mike told the cameras.
Survivor: David vs. Goliath, Tribal Council
At Tribal Council that night, Nick admitted to Jeff everyone was playing 100 miles per hour.Angelina said she put a lot more weight on whom she could trust and work with going forward. Christian was also most concerned with which players were on his side.

There were apparently voting blocks from Tribal to Tribal and the game was fluid. It was a free for all, and Nick said it was a testament to everyone's strategy and good gameplay.
Alison announced she was a threat remaining in the game, as did Christian. Christian hoped people's perception of himself had changed, but he had earned himself a lot of votes up to that point.
It then became time to vote.
Before Jeff read the votes aloud, he asked if anyone wanted to play a hidden Immunity Idol. Davie then opted to play his idol for himself.
Afterward, Nick played his fake hidden Immunity Idol, but only to see the reactions of his fellow castaways and get a good read on them.
Angelina told Nick, "I don't think you need to play it, personally." But Nick decided to play his real idol anyway, just to be safe.

Jeff then read the votes in the following order: Davie, Davie, Alison, Christian, Alison, Christian and Christian.
Alison vreathed a sigh of relief, as Nick vented frustration over wasting his idol. On his way out, Christian complimented his fellow castaways on a game well played.
The Survivor episode's closing credits later showed that Davie and Christian voted for Alison; Mike and Alison voted for Davie; and Kara, Angelina and Nick voted for Christian.
