Survivor featured Andy Rueda and Genevieve Mushaluk getting voted out at separate Tribal Councils, which determined the Final 4 castaways, during Season 47's penultimate episode that aired Wednesday night on CBS.

The Beka Tribe voted out Andy, a 31-year-old AI research assistant from Buffalo, NY, who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, in a 3-2 vote instead of Rachel LaMont, a 34-year-old graphic designer from Dexter, MI, who currently resides in Southfield, MI, at Tribal Council on Night 23 of the game. (Rachel had blocked Sam Phalen's vote).

"I got idoled out of Survivor," Andy said in his final words, referring to how Rachel had played an idol for herself.

"But after the start I had in this game, I have my head held up high. It's been an amazing transformation I've had over these 23 days, and I'll take it with me for the rest of my life. It made me better."

And then on Night 24, Genevieve, a 33-year-old corporate lawyer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was voted out in a 3-2 vote instead of Sam, a 24-year-old sports reporter from Schaumburg, IL, at Tribal Council.

"I just got voted out. Five is as far as I get to go in this game, but I am so proud of how I played out here," Genevieve shared after her Survivor exit.

"I exceeded my expectations, and my expectations were high! I wanted the million. I didn't get there, but I did better and I am more proud of myself than I imagined that I could be."

The Survivor two-night finale event, which will conclude next week on December 18, began with host Jeff Probst addressing home viewers from Fiji.

Jeff noted how there were six people left in the game and Sue Smey, a 59-year-old flight school owner from Kirkwood, NY, who currently resides in Putnam Valley, NY, had an idol that no one knew about.

Jeff also said Rachel had an idol and "Block a Vote" advantage that no one knew about.

Footage then flashed back to Night 22 of the game at Beka's camp. Sue lost her last Tuku ally and she acknowledged that she was "in trouble" after Andy flipped.

Andy, however, boasted about how his "Operation Italy" plan with Sam and Genevieve was executed perfectly.

Teeny Chirichillo, a 24-year-old freelance writer from Manahawkin, NJ, wondered if Andy was better at the game than they thought or if he was just a messy and chaotic player. Teeny said Rachel, Sue and herself looked like "idiots," and they weren't sure how to proceed.

Andy wondered if he could recruit Teeny as the fourth vote for his new Survivor alliance, so both Sam and Genevieve worked on her.

Teeny said she didn't trust anyone anymore, and with six people left in the game, there was nowhere to hide. She therefore decided to jump ship and target Rachel, and Rachel could tell immediately that something was up.

Rachel followed the group -- by listening to their voices -- into the jungle, and she overheard them talking about how she was a huge threat and needed to go next or else she'd win the game. Teeny also told the group that Rachel had a "Block the Vote," but they had no idea about her hidden Immunity Idol.

Rachel ran back to Sue and warned her about Teeny's Survivor betrayal.

On Day 23, Sue woke up feeling broken and so she began searching for an idol. Rachel informed Sue of her idol to solidify their alliance, and Sue was overwhelmed with gratitude.

Sue said she trusted Rachel, and she begged Rachel not to tell anybody else. But Sue refused to share the news of her idol.

Rachel told Sue that they needed to pretend like they thought Teeny was still with them and act like nothing was wrong.

Later that day, the Final 6 castaways met Jeff for the next Individual Immunity challenge.

Each player was instructed to leap into the ocean, swim to a platform, maneuver a buoy attached to a rope through a series of obstacles, and then race to solve a Survivor logo puzzle at the finish.

The first person to finish would win Immunity and be guaranteed a spot in the Final 5. The winner would also win Reward in the form of a trip to the Survivor Sanctuary, where he or she would pig out on steak, wine, cheesecake and more that afternoon.

In the end, Genevieve won Individual Immunity, and Jeff said it was the fastest he's ever seen a logo puzzle be put together. She was able to invite one person to join her, and Sam shook his head "no."

Sam claimed he had an upset stomach and Genevieve should pick someone else who deserved to eat.

Genevieve selected Sue, and then she was allowed to choose one more person to join them -- and her pick was Teeny.

At the Survivor Sanctuary, Genevieve announced that she was going to vote for Rachel, and Teeny agreed because she didn't think she could beat Rachel in fire or receive more votes at the end.

Teeny accidentally spilled the beans about Genevieve's idol -- not knowing it was actually fake -- but Sue kept her idol and Rachel's idol a secret. Sue was convinced that Rachel was going to play her idol and so someone on Genevieve's side was going to go home.

Meanwhile, Rachel talked to Andy and Sam about how they would've had a better chance of beating her over Genevieve. Sam explained how he felt left out of her plans and so needed to pivot.

Sam basically admitted to Rachel that he was gunning for her next, and she said it wasn't personal and they'd still hang out after their Survivor season ended.

"I do think you would've won the game if you got there," Sam admitted to Rachel.

Rachel cried, saying she had lost the challenge and so it was her fault. She was playing into the narrative that she was going home, but she had her idol to play. If Rachel had her way, however, she'd use her idol at Final 5.

Rachel then tried to persuade Andy to vote for Sam, who had developed strong relationships in the game.

Andy said he was "sick of being underestimated" in the game. Since Rachel only needed two people on her side, Andy contemplated joining her and being in the Final 5 with Sue and Rachel. Once again, Andy was prepared to jump ship and shock the jury.

Andy told the Survivor cameras that going after Sue would be "a bold move" he could make.

Sue advised Rachel never to trust Andy, and the women discussed voting for Sam before Tribal Council.

Andy then warned Rachel that his best move was going to be to vote her out, and he asked her to respect him and keep an open mind when she becomes a member of the jury.

Hearing Andy talk about his game made Rachel realize that maybe he truly was a threat to win the game. His pitch made Rachel question if she should vote for Andy instead of Sam.

"Andy has pulled the wool over my eyes three times, and I fell for it every single time," Rachel told the Survivor cameras.

"And so he is doing something right! This vote is very important... but the fun part of this is I am not actually going home tonight."

At Tribal Council that night, Rachel told Jeff how the tribe essentially had a funeral for her earlier that day.

Genevieve said she and Rachel were on opposite sides of the tribe and they didn't want to B-S each other. Sam also openly admitted Rachel was his target, and so did Andy. Teeny even said it would be foolish to sit next to Rachel in the end.

"I am not voting for Rachel. Everyone else knows that as well," Sue confirmed.

Rachel said Survivor was everything she had wanted it to be and she allowed herself the freedom to play, have fun and laugh.

When it became time to vote, Sam's vote had been blocked.

After the other castaways voted, Rachel decided to play her idol for herself, and the move absolutely shocked her tribemates and shook Teeny.

"The only thing better than attending your own funeral is knowing you're going to wake up alive the next morning," Rachel told Jeff.

Jeff proceeded to read the Survivor votes in the following order: Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, Andy and Andy.

Andy told Rachel her move was "amazing" and he left Tribal Council with a smile on his face.

"Good game," Andy announced on his way out.

After Tribal Council, Genevieve kept talk of her fake idol going at camp while castaways were praising Rachel for her idol play at the previous Tribal Council. Genevieve told the group she had found a clue under one of her pizza slices at the Survivor auction.

Rachel admitted she and Genevieve had been "adversaries" the entire game and she had no plans to change that.

At Beka's camp on Day 24 of the game, Sam wondered if there was an idol out there in the jungle since Rachel had just played one. He was extremely annoyed that Rachel was still in the game since he had been targeting her for days.

Rachel went looking for an idol that morning, but Genevieve babysat her. The girls were open about how they were clashing but definitely respected one another.

Sue, for her part, was bothered by the fact Rachel and Genevieve seemed to think Survivor had become a game between the two of them. Sam, Teeny and Sue all thought they still had a shot to win and that Rachel and Genevieve weren't the only threats left in the game.

Later that day, the Final 5 castaways met Jeff for the next Individual Immunity Challenge of Survivor 47.

The players were required to race in from the ocean, dig through a massive pile of sand to get under a log, and then balance on a wobbly beam while using a long pole to stack balls on stands. If any of the balls dropped, that person would be out.

The winner of the challenge would be guaranteed a spot in the Final 4, while the losers would have to vote someone at Tribal Council that night -- and that eliminee would become the 14th member of Survivor's jury.

The challenge came down to a duel between Rachel and Genevieve after all the castaways dropped their balls and had to regroup.

It came down to one ball, but then Genevieve's entire stack crumbled. In the end, Rachel won her third Individual Immunity, and she appeared to be thrilled and emotional.

Genevieve lamented about how she was "totally bummed" over the challenge results, but Jeff proudly shouted, "Wow, what a challenge!"

After the challenge, Sam figured votes may land on him, but he knew that Genevieve's idol was fake. Sam therefore told Teeny that Genevieve's idol was fake and they had actually made it together at Final 7.

Sam said Genevieve needed to go in order to save his own skin.

Sam was hoping that Teeny felt so betrayed, Genevieve would be the obvious choice that night. Teeny looked confused, upset and shocked.

"I need to unlearn what I thought was going on," Teeny told the Survivor cameras.

"I am literally rewinded the tapes on every conversation that I've had and every opportunity I've let Genevieve trick me and trick me. It goes all the way back to Genevieve voting out [Kishan Patel]."

Teeny vented about how she had fallen into all of Genevieve's traps and she was so "stupid" in the Survivor game.

Teeny filled Rachel and Sue in, but Rachel thought Sam's story was a little fishy. Rachel contemplated whether Sam was just trying to pile votes on Genevieve, who would then play an idol and force a person in Teeny's alliance to go home.

Rachel and Sue didn't buy Sam's story, and so Teeny decided to confront Genevieve and demand the truth.

When Teeny asked Genevieve for the truth, Genevieve confessed, "It is fake, and I am a sitting duck."

Genevieve planned to write down Sam's name, but it was going to be up to Teeny whether she wanted to take Sam or Genevieve out. A part of Teeny, however, still feared Genevieve's idol was real, and so the three women didn't know what to do or what to believe.

Teeny lamented how her brain was like a bunch of "scrambled eggs" at this point in the Survivor game.

On Night 24 at Tribal Council, Rachel announced how she would've been eliminated from the game had she not won Immunity, and Genevieve admitted she was "crushed" over Rachel's victory.

Rachel told Jeff she had suspicion Genevieve and Sam were still working together and trying to get votes on the wrong person.

Teeny told Jeff that night that her decision may win her the game of Survivor or lose it for her.

Whispers between Teeny and Rachel broke out right before the vote in which Rachel warned Teeny that she may be the other side's target and could be in trouble if things didn't go according to plan.

After votes were cast, Genevieve confirmed that her idol was fake, but then Sue played her hidden Immunity Idol for herself.

Jeff read the votes in the following order: Genevieve, Sam, Sam, Genevieve, and Genevieve.

Genevieve apologized to Teeny for making her head spin, and then Sue boasted about how she had been holding onto that idol since before the merge.

The episode's closing credits later showed that Sam, Rachel and Sue voted for Genevieve. Teeny and Genevieve had voted for Sam.
