Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' premiere delivered the long-running reality competition series' biggest audience since 2007.

The two-hour Thursday night debut averaged 14.15 million total viewers -- its most since Survivor: China's penultimate episode aired in December 2007, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' premiere also won its Thursday night 8-10PM timeslot in households (8.1/13 rating/share) and in the Adults 18-49 (4.5/12 rating/share) and Adults 25-54 (5.6/14 rating/share) demographics.

Compared to the first episode of Survivor: Samoa in September, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains was up 19% among households (an 8.1/13 rating/share vs. a 6.8/11 rating/share), 25% among Adults 18-49 (a 4.5/12 rating/share vs. a 3.6/11 rating/share), 22% among Adults 25-54 (a 5.6/14 rating/share vs. a 4.6/13 rating share), and by 2.47 million total viewers (vs. 11.68 million).

The premiere was also up slightly (1% in households, 2% in Adults 18-49, and 4% in total viewers) compared to last February's debut of Survivor: Tocantins.

Overall, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' premiere combined with CBS' broadcast of The Mentalist at 10PM ET/PT, the network finished in first place for the entire night in households, total viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
