Survivor host Jeff Probst wants to make the show's longtime loyal fans happy, but he's putting his foot down when it comes to the demand for an all-winners season.

Survivor is currently airing its 37th edition dubbed Survivor: David vs. Goliath featuring a cast of first-time castaways. The franchise has seen veteran players and champions return numerous times under different circumstances -- including medically-evacuated castaways seeking redemption, a Heroes vs. Villains theme, or a cast of Game Changers.
But Survivor has yet to produce a season in which only former winners duke it out for the title of "Sole Survivor" and the $1 million grand prize. Despite there being no shortage of potential castaways, Jeff said there's a good reason for that.
"We have 10 great winners that you'd want to see play again," Jeff told Us. "We don't have 20. We don't have 18."
Jeff insisted many previous winners are simply not compelling enough to create a riveting season, while memorable winners -- such as Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano, Parvati Shallow and John Cochran -- have no interest in playing the difficult game again that takes a toll on the mind, body and spirit.
"Some of the greats are like, 'No, we're done,'" Jeff admitted.

Regardless, Jeff revealed Survivor fans everywhere are still pushing for an all-winners edition and CBS executives have inquired about the possibility as well.
"CBS wants to do it. They're pitching me all the time," Jeff shared.
"And I'm going, 'I'll sit down with you and show you the list!' We don't have it. And if I sat down and we wasted our time and I walked you through all our winners, you would say, 'Oh, you're right. You don't have a season.' We have a tribe of winners, that's it."
But CBS could probably work with that for a future season!

Jeff acknowledged to the magazine, "We could do winners versus another group. That's an idea."
