Survivor: Island of the Idols voted out Elizabeth Beisel at Tribal Council on a re-vote after the Lumuwaku tribe's main target, Karishma Patel, played a hidden Immunity Idol and saved herself during the one-hour Season 39 broadcast Wednesday night on CBS.

Elizabeth, a 26-year-old Olympic medalist from Saunderstown, RI, was voted out on Night 30 of the game through a 7-0 unanimous re-vote after the first vote at Tribal Council was a tie between herself and Janet Carbin, a 59-year-old chief lifeguard from Neptune, NJ, who currently resides in Palm Bay, FL.

On the first vote of the night, Karishma, a 37-year-old personal injury lawyer from Philadelphia, PA, who currently resides in Houston, TX, received seven out of nine votes but had played her idol, leaving Elizabeth and Janet with one vote each.

"I made a million-dollar mistake today at the challenge, so I'm upset," Elizabeth said following her ouster.

"But as an Olympian, I gave it my all and any time you get to play Survivor and make it 30 days, that in itself is an incredible feat. So, I think in my own way, I've gotten a little bit of gold inside of me just for doing this entire experience. So, it's bittersweet right now!"

Survivor: Island of the Idols - Episode 11

The Survivor broadcast began on Night 27 at the Lumuwaku tribe right after Missy Byrd's vote off and blindside.

Lauren Beck, a 28-year-old nanny from Bakersfield, CA, and Rochester Hills, MI, said Tribal Council proved no one can get too comfortable in this game. She thought voting out Aaron Meredith -- who became a member of the jury right before Missy -- was the right decision to make because he was a huge physical threat.

Lauren was afraid to see who else got voted out at the second Tribal Council.

Lauren feared the women might have aligned to take out Tommy Sheehan, a 26-year-old 4th grade teacher from Bayville, NY, who currently resides in Long Beach, NY, but she was pleased to see once the two groups of castaways reunited that Missy had been sent packing instead.

Elaine Stott, a 41-year-old factory worker from Woodbine, KY, who currently resides in Rockholds, KY, explained to the whole group Missy had been playing the game really hard and thought she was in control of most people and the game.

Meanwhile, Karishma was thrilled her top two targets went to Ponderosa and she didn't even have to play her hidden Immunity Idol.

"I could not be happier. The game just opened completely wide for me, and I finally have some options!" Karishma gushed in a confessional.

Elizabeth, however, felt "stranded" because her two closest allies were gone and she no longer had their protection. Elizabeth insisted she was going to do everything in her power to stay and fight for herself.

Tommy explained to cameras on Day 28 blindsiding Missy was "a huge move" and he felt great about it.

Lauren, Tommy, and Dean Kowalski, a 28-year-old tech salesman from Westfield, NJ, who currently resides in New York, NY, were then shown discussing how Karishma was the next easy vote, but Lauren argued she wouldn't be able to beat Elizabeth in the game.

Dean said if they didn't vote for Karishma now, she'd continue to advance as "the ultimate goat" and then make it to the end. Dean had wanted Karishma out for "a long, long time," and he said it would only be a matter of time until his allies become targets if they didn't act right away.

Dean called Noura Salman, a 36-year-old entrepreneur from London, UK and Bethesda, MD who currently resides in North Potomac, MD, "Goat No. 2," and he worried the goats would assemble to take out Lauren, Tommy, or himself.

Tommy understood where Dean was coming from, but at the same time, Tommy acknowledged Elizabeth was an Olympic athlete who had once voted for him in the game. Tommy wondered whether the best move would be to take out Elizabeth before Karishma.

The tribe then received a letter, which told them to unanimously choose one person to go to the Island of the Idols or else draw one name out of a bag at random.

Lauren immediately said she wanted to go, and then her fellow castaways agreed to send her to the mysteriously island. Karishma said she would have loved to go, but had she spoken up and disagreed with everyone, it would have put an even bigger target on her back.

Karishma therefore just sat back and kept her mouth closed.

Lauren then arrived on the Island of the Idols, and she was "so excited to experience it." When she saw Rob "Boston Rob" Mariano and Sandra Diaz-Twine, she ran up to them and couldn't believe what was about to unfold.

Lauren told Sandra and Rob she was "doing okay" in the game because while she was "the least athletic" person at camp, she was playing a very strong social game. Lauren said she was surprised by how strategic she had actually been.

Lauren then received a lesson about "situational awareness" from the two Survivor veterans. Rob and Sandra gave Lauren the chance to predict who would win the next Individual Immunity Challenge. If Lauren got it right, she'd earn an Immunity Idol good at the next two Tribal Councils.

However, if Lauren guessed wrong, she would lose her vote at the next Tribal Council. Rob wondered how well Lauren knew her tribemates and whether she could accurately predict, as a result, who was going to win the next challenge.

Lauren insisted she knew her tribe well given she's such "a people person," but her odds weren't great to choose one out of nine castaways as the potential winner.

But Rob explained to Lauren what the Immunity Challenge was going to entail. He revealed the castaways would each stand at a station and hold onto a bar. The challenge from Survivor: Ghost Island would require the players to apply upward pressure to the bar in order to keep a ball from rolling down.

"It's not so much strength and endurance as it is concentration," Rob shared. "You have to be focused. This challenge is also going to have an 'eat or play' component. If you sit out, there's going to be food."

Sandra revealed if a player chose to sit out, he or she would be given breakfast food in the form of pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns, and orange juice.

Rob said it was highly likely several people would choose to eat, so he and Lauren discussed which players might throw in the towel and opt to do that.

Lauren explained Dean had once told her that he has no endurance and so this probably wouldn't be his challenge. She also thought Dan Spilo, a 48-year-old talent manager from New York, NY, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, was hungry and felt really safe and comfortable.

Lauren also didn't see Janet or Karishma winning this challenge. As a result, Lauren thought Noura had a shot because she's excellent at yoga and her ability to focus is "out of this world." Lauren also said Noura is vegan and so she wouldn't be into eating the breakfast food.

In addition, Lauren thought Elizabeth had a chance to win because she's an athlete and her neck was on the line given her closest allies had recently been voted out.

Rob asked Lauren which person she would risk her vote on, but then she hesitated. Rob therefore gave Lauren the option to choose two potential winners instead of just one.

Lauren would therefore have two horses in the race and her odds just doubled, so she decided play and go with her gut and select Noura and Elizabeth.

Rob thought the "eat or play" component would only help Elizabeth win her idol, and then Sandra told Lauren that if she got it right, her idol would be waiting for her under the big rock at Tree Mail.

Meanwhile, Dean spoke to Dan and Janet about whether his "Legacy Advantage" from Jamal Shipman was real. The tribe didn't know whether the advantage was real or fake, but he planned to play it regardless in order to take the target off his back.

The hand-written piece of parchment told Dean that he could play the advantage when nine or six people are left in the game. Since nine people were left, he intended to use it.

But first, Dean wrote up a (another) fake "Legacy Advantage" using the paint the tribemates had to decorate their tribe's flag. Dean wanted to keep the potentially-real advantage with him and use the fake one he had created at the next Tribal Council session.

The papers didn't look exactly alike, so Dean knew the move was risky. However, he knew if he could get away with it, the potentially-real advantage would still be left in his pocket and he could use it when six people are left in the game instead.

Dean was ready to be a little "shifty" and "schemy" and shake things up a little bit.

Once Lauren returned from the Island of the Idols, she needed to convince most of her tribemates to eat food and convince Noura and Elizabeth to play in the next Immunity Challenge.

Lauren revealed to the tribe when she got back that she was told what the next Immunity Challenge is going to be and she got to choose whether there would be an "eat or play" option. Lauren said she decided to allow some people to eat since everyone was so hungry.

Lauren was completely honest with Tommy, however, about what actually went down at the Island of the Idols. Tommy said he was Lauren's "wingman," so he was ready to do everything in his power to make sure Lauren would receive that idol.

Tommy therefore worked to plant seeds in people's minds that they wanted to eat. Tommy said the more he and Lauren talked about eating pancakes, the fewer people would compete against Noura and Elizabeth.

Janet and Dean both wanted to eat, and Karishma was struggling with the idea. Elaine also didn't know what she wanted to do.

Lauren knew the challenge was going to change her game, but she just hoped it would be for the better.

On Day 30, the Lumuwaku tribe met Survivor host Jeff Probst for the season's next Individual Immunity Challenge.

Jeff explained each player must pull up on a handle, clamping a ball in between a set of jaws. If at any point a castaway lowered the handle, the ball would drop and that person would be out of the challenge.

The winner would receive a one in eight shot of winning the game.

Jeff also said the castaways could choose to eat breakfast or compete, so each player was given two different colored rocks to represent one or the other. Red meant "compete" and yellow meant "eat," so everyone had to make their choice without knowing what their opponents were going to decide.

Tommy chose to eat as well as Dean, Dan, Lauren, Janet and Elaine. That left only three people competing in the Immunity Challenge -- Karishma, Noura and Elizabeth.

Lauren was shocked she and Tommy had pulled this off and only three of nine castaways would be competing.

Karishma was the first person to drop out of the challenge, and she nearly cried at the fact she had failed and had to smell the food other people were eating. Lauren kept a straight face after Karishma dropped out.

Elizabeth then lost her focus, allowing Noura to win Individual Immunity again.

Janet had to trust her alliance that they wouldn't throw her to the wolves, and she told the cameras the smart move would be to take Elizabeth out next since she's a big physical threat.

Once everyone returned to camp after the challenge, Lauren grabbed her idol and she celebrated with Tommy.

Tommy said the vote was going to be easy -- Karishma -- or they'd vote out Elizabeth. Since Karishma only lasted 45 seconds in the challenge, Tommy said Karishma could go at any time and he'd also be able to easily beat her at the end.

Tommy thought about taking a shot at Elizabeth sooner rather than later, but Elaine wanted Karishma gone since she seemed to have nine lives in the game.

Either way, Elaine planned to vote with her tribe and not make any waves, and Elizabeth was just hoping she wouldn't be the person to go home.

Elizabeth was well aware her name had been on the chopping block for the last three days, and she acknowledged this would be a great time for people to take her out of the game.

Elizabeth worried Karishma had an idol and would play it, meaning Elizabeth would earn one vote and be sent packing as a result.

While Karishma was distracted, Noura grabbed Karishma's bag and ran away with it. Noura could see Karishma didn't have anything in her bag, so she told Elizabeth that she didn't have anything.

Meanwhile, Karishma feared Elizabeth had an idol and would play it, so she spoke to Dan about what to do. Since everyone seemed to be voting for Elizabeth or Karishma, Dan advised Karishma to throw a vote on Janet.

"Elizabeth is on the outs, but if something crazy happens tonight, then we're splitting the vote. It's really Elizabeth and Karishma, but Karishma is supposed to think it's a split between Janet and Elizabeth," Dan told the cameras.

Karishma then told Elizabeth that Dan was "calling the shots" and he wanted Elizabeth out.

Lauren bragged about being very observant, saying she can read eye contact and lips. She picked up on some vibes while sitting with Dan and told him that Karishma had warned Elizabeth that Elizabeth would be going home.

Lauren told Dan that Karishma suggested to Elizabeth they work together with Elaine and Janet to take out Dan.

Dan approached Karishma and Elizabeth as the girls were talking, but they insisted they were going after Janet.

Dan said Karishma was "doing everything wrong" in the game and they couldn't allow her to go further in the game. Dan didn't want to complicate things, and so he wondered whether the whole tribe should just vote for Karishma -- and Dean was totally onboard, saying it made "complete sense."

Dean wanted to disassemble the goat army before it could form.

Karishma didn't want to lose Elizabeth, but she thought voting differently may not make a difference.

On Night 30, the tribe met Jeff for Tribal Council, and Sandra and Rob were impressed to see Lauren had been right about Noura winning immunity.

Lauren pointed out it was very naive to think this was going to be "an easy" Tribal Council, and Karishma agreed.

Elaine said she was banking on her core alliance staying true to her, and Elizabeth insisted she was a loyal player who would stay loyal to those she had pledged her allegiance to.

After votes were cast, Dean played one of his two fake Legacy Advantages, and Jeff announced to the group it was not real. Dean acted surprised, but he had played the one he had created himself.

Karishma then played a hidden Immunity Idol for herself, and everyone appeared shocked and taken aback. Karishma was well aware she was on the outs, and she wasn't ready to get voted out.

Because of Karishma's move, Lauren also decided to play an idol for herself.

"I'm not going home either," Lauren announced.

Jeff then read the votes aloud in the following order: Karishma, Karishma, Karishma, Karishma, Karishma, Karishma, Karishma, Janet, and Elizabeth.

Because Janet and Elizabeth were tied, Jeff explained there would be a re-vote in which both Janet and Elizabeth could not vote. As for the rest of the castaways, they were only able to vote for Janet or Elizabeth.

Elizabeth then received all of the votes, but she expressed nothing but love on her way out.

"One thing is for sure -- it wasn't an easy vote," Jeff pointed out.
