Caroline, a 27-year-old strategy consultant from Palos Verdes, CA, who currently resides in Chicago, IL, was voted out of Survivor 47 on Night 22 of the game through a 3-2-2 vote at Tribal Council instead of Sam Phalen, a 24-year-old sports reporter from Schaumburg, IL, and Genevieve Mushaluk, a 33-year-old corporate lawyer from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

"I've been thinking about this situation. I've been analyzing it. Andy flipped," Caroline told the Survivor cameras in her final words.

"He took me out, and I'll be honest, I think it was smart. I think I would've gone to the end. Most importantly, I am grateful beyond belief that I've made it this far and that I made it to the Final 7."

She added, "I feel like I wasn't able to win the ultimate prize but I was able to live my dream."

The Survivor broadcast began on Night 20 following Kyle Ostwald's elimination.

Sam said there was a group of five who were picking off the big threats one by one.

Those five were Caroline; Andy Rueda, a 31-year-old AI research assistant from Buffalo, NY, who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY; Teeny Chirichillo, a 24-year-old freelance writer from Manahawkin, NJ; Rachel LaMont, a 34-year-old graphic designer from Dexter, MI, who currently resides in Southfield, MI; Sue Smey, a 59-year-old flight school owner from Kirkwood, NY, who currently resides in Putnam Valley, NY.

Caroline shared how she was extremely close to Sue and wanted to go to the end with her because they made a great team.

Sam said he and Genevieve were "in a tight spot" but the game wasn't over yet and he was going to continue fighting to stay.

Genevieve, who was viewed as strategic and calculated -- and not emotional or particularly caring -- apologized to Andy for discounting and discrediting his game, calling it "stupid, unfair... and disrespectful" to have done to him.

Genevieve therefore tried to "shrink" herself and the reputation she had in Survivor.

Genevieve and Teeny then discussed how Rachel was very "tactical," organized and controlled and had been playing a flawless game.

Genevieve suggested that they should target Rachel next because if Teeny and Rachel ended up in the Final 3 together, it wouldn't be a slam dunk for Teeny to win.

Teeny interpreted that as a "threat," and she complained to the Survivor cameras about how Genevieve didn't respect her game.

"She doesn't think I can beat Rachel," Teeny told the Survivor cameras.

"And I am insulted by her words. Genevieve is desperate and trying to cause some chaos, and I am not falling into that trap because Sam and Genevieve are both on the bottom and they've both hurt me in the past."

Teeny said her group was "sick" and "scared" of Genevieve and Sam -- and so one of them needed to go.

Knowing that Genevieve was gunning for her, Rachel wanted to get rid of Genevieve. Rachel also had a hidden Immunity Idol and a "Block the Vote Advantage" to use at Tribal Council if necessary.

On Day 21, the Beka Tribe met Survivor host Jeff Probst for a Reward Challenge.

For the challenge, the castaways had to race through a series of obstacles and retrieve a ball from inside a net tunnel. After retrieving a second ball, they'd have to crawl under the net to the finish, where they'd attempt to land both balls on a two-level perch.

The winner would enjoy a nice afternoon at the Survivor sanctuary where they'd be fed Italian food including pizza, cheese, pepperoni, margaritas, pasta bolognese, caesar salad, red wine, and tiramisu.

In the end, Sam won Reward, and Jeff revealed that he was going to be able to spend the night at the sanctuary and receive a letter from home.

Sam got to choose one Survivor castaway to join him, and he selected Andy, whom he called "the most deserving person" in the group. Andy looked surprise because he and Sam weren't on the best terms.

Sam said he wanted to make it up to Andy for not being a good friend or ally to him in this game.

Jeff then allowed Sam to pick one more person to enjoy this experience with him, and Sam declared that he wanted to take Genevieve along.

Teeny announced after the challenge that Genevieve and Sam were clearly a duo and Sam had made a bad decision by not choosing another Survivor castaway to mingle and strategize with.

"I hope they enjoy their Last Supper," Teeny quipped.

Sam pissed off many people, and Rachel acknowledged that was a good thing for her game and her alliance because it was going to make them a tighter unit.

Teeny's alliance knew that Sam and Genevieve would try to pull Andy in with them but they'd still need another number to make a move against her group. Back at camp, Teeny and the girls all trashed Sam and poked fun at him for looking like the popular quarterback.

"His demise will be coming imminently, and it will be something I'll take great pride in," Teeny noted.

The women agreed to vote out Sam first and be the Final 4 women on Survivor 47. The group planned to get rid of Sam, Genevieve and Andy in that order, and they shouted about "girl power" at camp.

Over at the sanctuary, Andy told Sam and Genevieve that he'd be willing to vote out Rachel, who had quite a bit of power in the game. The trio put together "a very difficult mission" in order to fool Rachel so that she wouldn't play an idol or advantage.

Sam, Genevieve and Andy called their plan "Operation Italy."

On Day 22, the trio returned to Beka's camp, and Sam called himself a "free agent" in the Survivor game.

Sam, Genevieve and Andy were banking on a split vote, and Genevieve tried to create a fake idol.

Andy tried to win the trust of the group of five so they'd believe that he was still with them, and then he pitched the idea that Genevieve had a hidden Immunity Idol they should fear.

"It's going to cause paranoia and insecurity, and that will convince my alliance to split the vote," Andy boasted in a Survivor confessional.

Andy told Caroline that they needed to flush Genevieve's idol and splitting the vote made the most sense. He thought "Operation Italy" had been executed to perfection and that it was time to pull the trigger on Rachel, "the juiciest target left in the game."

On Day 22, the Beka tribemates competing in the next Individual Immunity Challenge of the Survivor season.

Each castaway was instructed to navigate a balance beam while transporting a ball on a pole. Once they were done, they had to maneuver two skulls through a metal maze. Once that was completed, they had to roll balls along a paddle, attempting to land three of them in three of five targets.

The winner would be safe from the vote that night, while one of the losers would be voted out at Tribal Council and become the twelfth person voted out of the game as well as the fifth member of the jury.

In the end, Rachel dominated and pulled out a win, destroying Sam, Genevieve and Andy's plan.

After the challenge, Teeny wasn't convinced that Genevieve had an idol, but Andy attempted to convince Teeny that Genevieve was absolutely dangerous.

Teeny then approached Sam and Genevieve to let them know that one of them was going to go. Genevieve asked Teeny to keep the votes on her because she'd be "fine," and that news shocked Teeny.

Genevieve quickly flashed the idol so Teeny could see it, but she didn't let Teeny check it out in fear Teeny would discover it's fake.

Teeny totally bought the fake idol, and then Andy pitched to Sam and Genevieve that they should vote out Caroline from Survivor 47.

Rachel and Caroline then told Sam to write down Genevieve's name if he wanted to stick around longer.

Sue told Caroline that they needed Rachel to play her "Block a Vote," and Sue considered playing her idol for Caroline to protect her. Sue said Caroline being voted out would be her "worst case scenario."

Sue believed, however, that if her group stayed strong, they couldn't go wrong.

Andy, meanwhile, still wanted to split the vote, but there were a lot of factors in play that could screw things up for Sam, Genevieve and Andy -- including idols, advantages and last-minute paranoia.

"There are more ways this could go wrong than more ways it could go right," Genevieve told the Survivor cameras.

At Tribal Council that night, no one ended up playing an idol or advantage.

Jeff read the votes in the following order: Sam, Genevieve, Caroline, Sam, Genevieve, Caroline, and Caroline.

It quickly became apparent to Sue that Andy had flipped on their alliance again.

"That was well done, you guys. It's been an honor playing with all of you," Caroline announced.

The episode's closing credits later showed that Sam, Genevieve and Andy voted for Caroline. Sue and Teeny voted for Sam, while Rachel and Caroline voted for Genevieve.
