Lindsay, a 42-year-old pediatric nurse from Greensboro, NC, who currently resides in Downingtown, PA, was voted out of her Coco Tribe in a 1-1-4 vote on Night 9 of the game instead of Cassidy Clark, a 26-year-old designer from Plano, TX, who currently resides in Austin, TX, and Geo Bustamante, a 36-year-old project manager from Miami, FL, who currently resides in Honolulu, HI.

"I thought my alliance was going to stick with me, and they turned on me," Lindsay said following her ouster.

"I did play my ass off, but it came at a cost. I only know one way to go, as hard as I can. I waited 22 years to play this game, and I wasn't going to do it half-ass. I'm really proud of myself, and it was everything I wanted it to be -- not as long, but I'm really happy."

The Survivor broadcast began on Night 7 after the Vesi Tribe had voted out Nneka Ejere at Tribal Council.

Vesi was now comprised of Noelle Lambert, a 25-year-old U.S. Paralympian from Londonderry, NH, who currently resides in Manchester, NH; Cody Assenmacher, a 35-year-old in elevator sales from Preston, IA, who currently resides in Honolulu, HI; Dwight Moore, a 22-year-old graduate student from Palo Alto, CA, who currently resides in Collierville, TN; and Jesse Lopez, a 30-year-old with a Political Science PhD from Venice, CA, who currently resides in Durham, NC.

Cody said he felt really bad for voting out his friend and ally, and the tribe had no flint, food or fire. They had lost two challenges in a row, and so Cody said the situation was pretty dire and it was "show time."

On Day 8 of the game, Mike "Gabler" Gabler was apparently getting on his tribemates' nerves.

The Baka Tribe was made up of Gabler, a 52-year-old heart-valve specialist from Houston, TX, who currently resides in Meridian, ID; Owen Knight, a 30-year-old college admissions director from Bethesda, MD, who currently resides in New Orleans, LA; Elisabeth "Elie" Scott, a 31-year-old clinical psychologist from Atlanta, GA, who currently resides in Salt Lake City, UT; Jeanine Zheng, a 24-year-old UX designer from South Hamilton, MA, who currently resides in San Francisco, CA; and Sami Layadi, a 19-year-old pet cremator from Las Vegas, NV, who currently resides in Las Vegas, NV.

Elie said Gabler was rubbing her the wrong way and he was starting to be "a detriment" to her game and camp life in general.

Gabler acknowledged how he and Elie clashed because they both have strong personalities, and he told the cameras, "If we get too far with her, we will all regret it."

The Coco Tribe consisted of Lindsay; Cassidy; Geo; James Jones, a 37-year-old event planner from Philadelphia, PA; Karla Cruz Godoy, a 28-year-old educational project manager from San Diego, CA, who currently resides in Newark, DE; and Ryan Medrano, a 25-year-old warehouse associate from Savannah, GA, who currently resides in El Paso, TX.

The three tribes then gathered together for a Reward Challenge.

Survivor host Jeff Probst explained how one player from each tribe must use sandbags to knock blocks off a ledge. That same player must then walk on two of the blocks to get to the finish, where the three remaining tribe members would each land one sandbag on one of the hanging disks.

It was a "winner take all" challenge in which the first tribe to finish would have 10 fresh fish delivered to their camp as well as an opportunity to visit one of the other two camps and steal an idol.

Coco sat out James and Lindsay, and Baka sat out Elie for the challenge.

Sami, Cody and Ryan Started out the challenge, and Cody dominated the first part with his good throwing arm.

In the end, Vesi won Reward, and Jeff pointed out how they looked like a different tribe that day. They hadn't eaten anything other than coconuts, and so they were excited to win and eat.

The tribe could also steal a Reward from another tribe, such as a machete or a pot. The only thing that was off limits was a flint.

Since Vesi didn't have a flint and couldn't make fire to eat all of their fish, they asked Jeff if they could trade for a previous Reward. The tribe decided to trade their Reward for the basket of fruit and the tool kit.

The Vesi Tribe then discussed what they wanted to take from another tribe and which person was going to go over there to get it.

Cody wanted to make the trip, although his tribemates agreed he was unpredictable, and he suggested they should steal an entire fishing kit. The group also wondered if it would be better to target the smaller tribe out of the two so they'd be pissing fewer people off.

Cody wanted to be greedy, but Jesse said he needed to be "diplomatic" with his neighbors and so himself, Noelle and Dwight were against hitting the other tribes as hard as possible.

"We're at war, man! The idea of wiping a tribe out by taking their machete," Cody suggested before trailing off.

"We're thinking long-term, not short-term," Noelle interjected.

"Yeah, fishing gear won't piss them off nearly as much," Dwight said.

"Fine, I'll just kick their fort in," Cody noted, before he told the cameras that his tribe was being soft as hell.

Cody arrived at Coco, who had the numbers and the most Rewards. Cody admitted he wanted "a savage take," a machete, and Coco pointed out how they'd want to retaliate in that case.

Cody insisted he wasn't the strategist in the group but rather the messenger.

Coco then negotiated with Cody and tried to give him some food instead of having to give up their machete. Cody said he "turned on the charisma," and he ultimately left with a handful of limes, fishing gear and some other food.

Karla said she didn't trust Cody at all and her tribe hadn't played it cool. Karla believed they had given up too much food, fueling "the enemy." She felt "played" as Cody cheered on his way back to the Vesi beach in a boat.

On Day 9, it became time for the next Immunity Challenge.

Each tribe was instructed to race to knock off a series of heavy sandbags, looking for a ring of keys. Those keys would be used to unlock a net, and then they'd drag four large puzzle pieces underneath the net.

The puzzle pieces must be arranged into a square and then transported up a cargo net and onto a platform, where they'd be rearranged into a triangle.

In the end, Vesi won immunity, and they celebrated like never before.

Baka pulled out a second-place finish thanks to Vesi's help, and so Coco would be going to Tribal Council for the first time this season.

Vesi earned flint and immunity, and Baka walked away with immunity. Geo, however, didn't think Baka had earned their win.

"There's definitely dirty play that goes on, as we saw here. They are uniting together as the losers. We haven't lost yet, and so they're trying to knock us down off of our pedestal," Cassidy declared.

And Lindsay said she now had people whom she wanted to get revenge on.

After the challenge, Coco returned to camp feeling pretty low and disheartened.

Ryan said he trusted James and Geo, with Geo being his No. 1 ally. The guys discussed voting out Cassidy, and Geo -- who believed he was calling the shots -- said he was actually excited about Tribal Council.

Geo didn't think he could trust Cassidy, and he was certain she'd turn around and backstab him. Cassidy called Geo "sass" and confided on the women how he was getting on her last nerve. Cassidy, Karla and Lindsay therefore agreed to vote out Geo.

James also told the women that he was onboard with taking out Geo, but Lindsay was becoming paranoid about being targeted because she thought she was a big threat in the game.

Karla and James promised Lindsay that she was okay, but she didn't trust anybody.

Karla then told James that paranoia was too difficult to work with, and so Karla pitched flipping the vote on Lindsay.

James decided to do some damage control and try to convince her that Geo was their real target. However, James felt nothing he said was good enough or convincing enough.

"You can't sketch out the people who are voting with you!" James told the big Survivor fan.

Lindsay announced to her allies that she was going to blindly trust them, but Karla mentioned how it might have been too late. Karla said Geo would be the easy vote and she wanted to take control away from him, but she was definitely still considering Lindsay as an option as well.

That night, Coco arrived at Tribal Council.

Lindsay called out several tribemates for not wanting to have a conversation with her prior to Tribal, although she didn't identify them, and Ryan said didn't feel the vibe or energy from Lindsay that she wanted to talk.

Lindsay rejected Ryan's claim by saying the people who wanted to talk to her had made it a priority. There was clearly a little stress between the two tribemates, and Geo said as long as the votes weren't going to say his name, he'd be happy.

After Lindsay admitted she wrongly got paranoid back at camp, Cassidy said, "The only way that you can really demonstrate trust is by voting."

After the players cast their votes one by one, Jeff read the votes aloud in the following order: Cassidy, Geo, Lindsay, Lindsay, and Lindsay.

"I'm so sorry. I wish it wasn't you," Cassidy whispered to Lindsay on her way out of the game.

The episode's closing credits later showed that Lindsay voted for Geo, Geo voted for Cassidy, and Cassidy, Karla, James and Ryan voted for Lindsay.
