Survivor: San Juan del Sur -- Blood vs. Water eliminated Val Collins during Wednesday night's second episode of the CBS reality competition's 29th season.

Val Collins, a 35-year-old police officer from Foxboro, MA, was voted out of her Coyopa tribe on Day 6 at the season's second Tribal Council session.

"I feel like I played big, made big moves, considering that I wasn't with the tribe for two days. It worked for a little while. I wish it would've worked longer, but I'm happy with what I did. And I think [Jeremy Collins] seeing me gone will be a shock to him initially, but I think it will make him go harder in the game and I think it will inspire him. So, I'm happy with that," Val said in her final words.

After Val's ouster, the Coyopa tribe is now comprised of Wes Nale, a 23-year-old firefighter from Shreveport, LA; Baylor Wilson, a 20-year-old student from Nashville, TN; Dale Wentworth, a 55-year-old farmer from Ephrata, WA; John Rocker, a 39-year-old former MLB player from Atlanta, GA; Jaclyn Schultz, a 25-year-old media buyer from Las Vegas, NV; Josh Canfield, a 32-year-old actor and writer from New York, NY; and Alec Christy, a 22-year-old student from Winter Park, FL.

Hunahpu features the following castaways: Drew Christy, a 25-year-old traveling sales representative from Winter Park, FL; Jeremy, a 36-year-old firefighter from Foxboro, MA; Reed Kelly, a 31-year-old Broadway performer, model and aerialist from New York, NY; Jon Misch, a 26-year-old financial assistant from Waterford, MI; Julie McGee, a 34-year-old model and owner of a spray-tan business from Atlanta, GA; Natalie Anderson, a 28-year-old student and crossfit coach from Edgewater, NJ; Keith Nale, a 53-year-old fire captain from Shreveport, LA; Missy Payne, a 47-year-old owner of a competitive cheerleading gym from Dallas, TX; and Kelley Wentworth, a 28-year-old marketing manager from Seattle, WA.

Survivor's second episode began on Night 3 with Josh telling Baylor there was "a method to his madness." He explained the reason why he voted for her at the previous Tribal Council was to throw the guys off and stop them from thinking they were aligned and working together.

Baylor respected Josh for making a smart move but also called it "sketchy" because he never told her his plan to write her name down.

On Day 5, at the Hunahpu camp, Jeremy said the tribe couldn't stand Jon M. He also lost their flint, which was vital to their survival considering it made them fire.

Both tribes then gathered and met with show host Jeff Probst for a Reward Challenge. Natalie was very sad to see her sister Nadiya had been voted out of the game.

Each tribe was required to choose one castaway to balance a ball on a disk attached to a pole as he or she maneuvered through a series of obstacles. If the ball dropped, the player must go back to the start. Once a person made it through the obstacle course, he or she had to roll three balls down a platform in attempt to land them in one of three targets. The first castaway to land all three targets would win Reward in the form of fishing gear.

John R. was selected by his Coyopa tribe to compete. He therefore had to face off against his own girlfriend Julie from Hunahpu. Julie ended up winning the challenge and John R. got sent to Exile Island. Julie was then afforded the opportunity to pick someone from her own tribe to join John R. in exile and she chose Jeremy. 

At the conclusion of the Reward Challenge, Jon asked Jeff on behalf of his Hunahpu tribe if they could trade the rest of their beans -- a little over half a bag -- for another flint. Jeff almost seemed offended by the request, telling them that if they traded their beans for a flint, it would cost them much more down the road. The tribe then changed its mind and decided it would be best to trade in their fishing equipment for the flint.

At Coyopa, Josh admitted most people disliked John R. and he was pissing people off, so Josh said he wanted to keep him close for that reason.

On Exile Island, John R. and Jeremy each approached an urn and looked inside. John's paper was blank, and Jeremy received a clue to a hidden Immunity Idol.

The following day, John R. and Jeremy rejoined their respective tribes and prepared for Day 6's Immunity Challenge.

For the challenge, a castaway from each tribe had to square off against an opponent, trying to knock the other person off a floating platform in the ocean. The first tribe to score five points would win the challenge and be safe from the next vote.

Julie sat out for Hunahpu. Kelley then faced off against Jaclyn and Jaclyn won, scoring a point for Coyopa.

Brothers Drew and Alec battled it out and Drew came out on top. Jeremy then faced Wes and Wes won. Natalie went up against Val next and Natalie won. John R. faced Jon on the platform afterwards and Jon was the winner. Baylor defeated her own mother Missy. Reed then defeated his boyfriend Josh in a battle. Keith faced off against Dale and Dale won. Lastly, Kelley beat Jaclyn.

After Hunahpu won the Immunity Challenge, Val on the Coyopa tribe began to scramble. She felt like she was going home unless she made some big moves. Therefore, she told John R. she had found two hidden Immunity Idols.

John R. was both surprised and skeptical because he had received a clue to a hidden Immunity Idol from his time spent in exile. He realized he had to look for that idol. John R. ended up digging for an idol and finding it. He said he needed to protect Val because he had made a pact with Jeremy in exile to keep their significant others safe.

John R. then shared the news with Josh and Wes that Val claimed to have two idols in her pocket and she wanted to use one for herself and the other for Jaclyn. He therefore suggested they split the votes -- three for Val and three for Baylor -- in case Val played an idol.

Josh noted if Val actually had two idols in her possession, one of the five guys would be going home. Therefore, Josh insisted they couldn't let the girls know three votes were being cast for Baylor.

John R. told Val the plan and asked her to play her idol. Even though she didn't have one, Val assumed she was still safe because three of the guys were casting their votes for Baylor along with herself and Jaclyn. John R. and Val agreed they'd watch each other's "blindside." Josh noticed the pair walked off together and questioned John R.'s honesty and loyalty.

That night at Tribal Council, Val called Baylor out for trying to play both sides -- the men and the women. Baylor said Val had it out for her since the moment she stepped on the island. Baylor explained that Val brought the girls together to form an alliance and she chose to go with the guys at that point. However, Val insisted Baylor campaigned to get Dale out with the girls.

Jaclyn stood by the fact Baylor expressed loyalty to the women. Although Val asked Baylor to own her betrayal, Baylor remained quiet and just said "wow." Baylor and Val then both admitted they wouldn't be surprised to see any votes cast for them.

Afterwards, Jeff revealed the votes. Four people had voted for Val and four castaways had voted for Baylor.

John R. was shown voting for Baylor, Wes was shown voting for Val, Baylor was shown voting for Val, and Val was shown voting for Baylor.

Because it was a tie, the players had to vote again. However, neither Baylor or Val could cast their votes. In the re-vote, five castaways voted to oust Val from Survivor and only one person voted for Baylor.

The episode concluded with the results of the re-vote. Everyone voted for Val except for Jaclyn, who voted for Baylor.
