Tarek and his estranged wife and co-star, Christina El Moussa, must determine whether they'd like to continue their partnership on Flip or Flop despite getting a divorce.
Referring to Christina and himself, Tarek explained to Entertainment Tonight, "At this point right now, we haven't 100 percent made the decision."
As for whether Tarek and Christina have been approached by HGTV about keeping Flip or Flop in the family, Tarek revealed the pair is "in talks" with the network.
Tarek, 35, and Christina, 33, separated in May 2016 following an "unfortunate misunderstanding" involving Tarek, a gun and police, as well as years of issues -- including a cancer battle and infertility struggle -- that finally caught up with them.

The pair publicly announced their split in December 2016, and then Tarek filed for divorce on January 9. All the while, the couple has been filming Flip or Flop amid rumors in the press of infidelity and drama on the set.
One source previously told Us Weekly that Tarek "does things to piss [Christina] off, like bragging loudly about sleeping with girls," and Christina in turn "thinks Tarek is an absolute pig."
The reality TV stars have insisted in the past couple of months, however, they're able to maintain a friendly dynamic at work for the sake of their two children and careers.
But when ET asked Tarek to confirm there is "no weirdness" on the set of Flip or Flop, he didn't try to sugarcoat things.
"Well I wouldn't say that!" he confessed. "There's no fighting; it's just more of a quiet day."

When Tarek filed the divorce papers, he notably requested spousal support from Christina yet denied her the same in return. He also asked that Christina pay his lawyer fees.
"To be honest, I just checked a box," Tarek said, suggesting that people shouldn't read into that. "At this point, I have no need to go after any alimony. I mean, we do everything jointly."
As part of their December statement upon announcing their split, the couple had said, "During this [separation] process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be," they said of Taylor, 6, and Brayden, 1.
"We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together."
