Teen Mom OG will reportedly no longer star just the "original girls" of the MTV franchise.

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Vice President nominee Sarah Palin, is joining the cast of Teen Mom OG next season, Us Weekly reported.
Bristol, 27, announced she was pregnant for the first time when she was only 17 years old. She welcomed Tripp, now 9, with her ex-fiance Levi Johnston in 2008. She later gave birth to two daughters -- Sailor, 2, and Atlee, 14 months -- with her husband Dakota Meyer.

Back in February, Dakota filed for divorce from Bristol after nearly two years of marriage; however, the pair might have since reconciled because Bristol has been vocal about their relationship on social media.

In June, Bristol posted a photo with Dakota, writing that he's "the most incredible man," as she wished the Marine Corps Medal of Honor recipient a happy 30th birthday.
Bristol added that she loves him and is "so thankful" to have Dakota in her life.
Bristol is apparently going to be Farrah Abraham's replacement on Teen Mom OG. MTV cut ties with Farrah several months ago due to a blowout fight over her involvement in the adult film industry.
After Teen Mom ended in late 2012, Farrah filmed two sex tapes that were released by Vivid in 2013 and 2014.

Once Teen Mom OG kicked off in early 2015, Farrah allegedly assured producers she was no longer headed down that path, but in October 2017, TMZ reported the network let Farrah go because she had participated in a highly-promoted, live pornographic webcam show.
Farrah claimed at the time she was a victim of a hate crime and had been sex-shamed. She argues she had quit the series as a result rather than being fired.
Variety reported in late February that Farrah filed a $5 million lawsuit against Teen Mom OG producer Morgan J. Freeman and the show's production companies.
She reportedly accused the parties of harassment and wrongful termination in a complaint filed in federal court in Texas. The lawsuit was settled in March.

Bristol is bringing a lot of prior reality TV experience into her new Teen Mom OG gig.
Bristol initially starred on her mother's TLC series Sarah Palin's Alaska in 2010 and then landed her own Lifetime series, Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp, which aired for only one season in 2012.
In addition to competing on Season 11 and Season 15 of Dancing with the Stars, Bristol also released a 2011 memoir, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, and had a guest starring role on the scripted series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
Teen Mom OG also stars Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell. The new season is set to air on MTV in Fall 2019.
