Temptation Island featured two couples breaking up, one couple getting engaged, and an absolutely shocking post-show update for Evan Smith during Part 2 of the finale Tuesday night on USA Network.

Similar to the show's original seasons that aired on Fox between 2001 and 2003, USA Network's Temptation Island reboot followed four dating couples at a pivotal time in their relationships in which they had to decide whether to stay committed to each other for the rest of their lives or go their separate ways.

The established couples were Karl Collins, 31, and Nicole Tutewohl, 25, who currently reside in Chicago, IL; John, 35, and Kady, 30, who currently reside in Fort Worth, TX; Evan, 28, and Kaci Campbell, 29, who currently reside in Los Angeles, CA; and Javen Butler, 25, and Shari Ligons, 25, who currently reside in San Francisco, CA.
The significant others -- who were at a crossroads in their relationships -- traveled together to the tropical paradise of Maui, Hawaii, to live the "single life," and each of them had an opportunity to date up to 12 singles awaiting them.

The stakes were high and hearts were on the line, but each exclusive couple seemed pretty confident at first their bonds would outlast and conquer any temptation. However, everyone was taking a great risk.
Part 2 of Temptation Island's finale picked up where last week's episode had left off, with Karl and Nicole breaking up and Kady telling John, "You make me not want to have kids" at their final bonfire meeting.
Kady and John then had to reveal their final decision as to whether they wanted to break up, stay together or leave the island with someone else.
John announced his choice first and said he had made a connection with Katheryn Golden. John, however, admitted his heart can't jump from one person to another so quickly and he needed time to heal.
"I do love you and I want the best for you. I want you to be happy, and if I can't provide that, then we do need to go our separate ways," John told Kady.

John therefore opted to leave the island alone, and Kady agreed they should leave single because she had received clarity on the island.

"I respect you, I still love you, I still want us to have dignity for one another and handle things like mature adults," Kady told John.
Kady insisted she had no regrets coming to the island and John also learned a lot about himself and his girlfriend.
Kady said the breakup was hard and she just wanted to squeeze him and hold him and comfort him.

"Hearing him just say he wants a woman to build him up and not tear him down, he's so right. So right. It's hard to say goodbye but I know it's for the best," Kady told the cameras.
John said he was going to leave the process "a stronger man" and it was "one hell of a trip." The experience opened his eyes to issues he had in his relationship.
"A big weight was lifted off my shoulders to hear Kady say I'm basically not the guy for her. I wish she had found that out sooner, but I wish the best for her... and I'm just going to keep moving on," John explained after Kady left.
Javen and Shari were then shown getting ready for their bonfire meeting. Javen apparently learned he can be trustworthy in a relationship and no other woman compares to Shari.
Shari felt she was supposed to have this experience. While she was initially closed off and reserved, she ultimately opened herself up to the process and other people.

Justin Sturm reminded Shari how real temptation truly was on the island and she had made an emotional connection with him.
Shari was about to see Javen for the first time in three days, and she admitted to the cameras she didn't know what she was going to do.
Meanwhile, Evan revealed his chemistry and connection with Morgan Lolar actually scared him and he couldn't imagine life without her now.
Evan didn't want to hurt Kaci, but he was falling in love with Morgan.
After spending 10 years with Evan, Kaci was afraid about what was to come. She had been with Evan since she was 19 years old and regretted ever giving him an ultimatum about marriage.
Kaci had an epiphany on the island of how her demands in the relationship should stop, but she was disappointed Evan couldn't wait until the end to hear her out.
Instead, Kaci was well aware Evan was building a relationship with another woman.
Kaci said she knew what she needed to say and what she wanted even though he was "breaking [her] heart."
Evan insisted to the cameras he had "no regrets" but it was "going to be a very, very difficult night" because he had loved Kaci for so long.

Kaci hoped to go home with Evan "on a clean slate" and do things the right way. She didn't think a fling with a woman on the island could compare to what they had together.
"He's going to know he hurt me. He's going to know he's throwing away something really special. And I think if I do that, there's no way he's going to be able to walk away from me," Kaci said in a confessional on her way to the bonfire.
Kaci was given a chance to talk to Evan first, and she allowed herself to be totally vulnerable. She said they had entered the process so strong and connected and couldn't believe how things turned out.
Kaci cried and confessed she could barely watch his bonfire videos.
"You in bed with another girl, I don't understand how you could do that to me," Kaci vented.
"It feels like you threw our whole life away for this random girl. You are a piece of sh-t and a scumbag, and you really broke my heart. I've literally been crying this entire time... but I've been praying for you and I've been praying for us."
Kaci then went on to say how she wished she could go back in time and take back all of the ultimatums and all the pressure she had put on him to settle down.
Evan, who was holding Kaci's hands, dropped them at this point and shook his head. He stared at the ground and appeared gutted.

Kaci continued to say she loved Evan and wanted to continue showing him that.
In turn, Evan told Kaci that he missed her "like crazy" and planned to prove to himself during this journey that he had the fortitude to resist temptation.
"But never in my wildest dreams did I think I would come here and need to resist falling for someone else," Evan shared.

"In the distance I've had from you, I've found clarity, and no matter how much I love you, I've opened my heart up to someone else."
Evan admitted the trials and tribulations they had gone through together weighed heavily upon him, but Kaci simply looked pissed.
Kaci revealed her final decision to Evan first, saying he was the love of her life and she was completely committed to him.
"I want to go home and fix what we can fix. This is our life! I am committed to him," Kaci cried.
Evan was then given the chance to reveal his decision, and he blunted noted, "[Temptation Island host Mark Walberg], I am leaving with someone else."
"Oh my God," Kaci said.

Kaci couldn't understand how Evan was choosing to do this. She called him "impulsive," but Evan argued he was finally seeing things and she had pushed him into the corner for years knowing the demons he had inside of him.

Kaci asked how Evan could just give up on their love, and he said he simply couldn't do it anymore with her.
Evan was shocked Kaci was willing to drop her ultimatums now after so many years of him begging her to do just that, and so he wasn't having it.
"So you're going to break all of your promises and tell your family that you left me here -- everything that you promised me, that my heart and my soul is safe with you and you'd never leave me and I am your forever?!" Kaci cried.
Evan told Kaci that Morgan was not a temptress who stole him away from her. Evan assured Kaci he had exercised free will and stood by all of his actions, words and decisions.

Kaci said she didn't recognize Evan anymore and was willing to do what she needed to do to keep him.
"I needed you to do it years ago," Evan noted.
"I'm telling you -- I am going to do it! Please! I am begging you," Kaci cried. "Please don't give up on us."
Evan stopped Kaci from talking because it was clear he wasn't going to change his mind. Evan thought it was "too little, too late" because Kaci didn't seem to care about what he had been fighting inside of him before coming to the island.
Kaci yelled out to Evan on her way out of the bonfire, "This is wrong!"

Kaci cried in the car, "This has to be a joke! Am I ever going to see him again?! How is this happening?! He's my best friend. I am losing my best friend in the whole world, and I lost my home!... I don't understand how he could do this to me. He promised."
Kaci said Evan had promised to never blindside her again but he did -- and he "threw our whole life away for somebody he doesn't even know."
Evan told Mark his decision was made for the both of them because he simply wasn't The One for her.
Evan explained he gave the process 100 percent and just lost his best friend, but at the same time, he was so excited about his future with Morgan.
Evan was then given the opportunity to talk to Morgan, who ran into his arms and gushed about how she was "so happy."
"I told you that I wouldn't let you down," Evan said.

The couple kissed and Morgan was so proud of Evan for knowing what he wants and choosing her.
"Morgan, I love you. I know it's crazy and happened so fast, but when you're in it, you just know. I need you to know that I love you," Evan told her.
"I love you too," Morgan replied.

The pair then left Temptation Island together, and Evan gushed about how Morgan was so much more than he ever wanted and she was "unbelievable."
Evan said Morgan had awakened something inside of him and she was going to make him the man he wanted to be. He was "so pumped" for their future.

It then became time for Javen and Shari to reunite. Javen hoped Shari would accept how much he's grown and the man he became.
Shari, on the other hand, learned she didn't need to be co-dependent on someone else. Shari seemed confused about her final decision because she was "in such a different place" than she was when they started.
Shari told Javen her experience was "so up and down" and she went through a lot emotionally. Shari, however, said she got stronger and found herself more grounded in life.
Shari noted she'd like to stop being "cold" and hoped their life together could be different.
Javen gushed about how he had proven his loyalty and trust to Shari. While he struggled to open up at first because Shari was on his mind, he tried his best.
"Not a day went by I didn't think about you. I just thought, 'I can't wait to see this girl and give her all that I have and show her how new and better I am. I love you, baby girl. You are something special," Javen told his girlfriend.

Javen obviously announced he wanted to leave the island with Shari by his side and there were no doubts in his mind about that, and then Shari agreed.
Neither Javen or Shari had made a connection that could compare to what they came to the island with.
"I want us both to have our own lives. I feel stronger as an individual and feel it's okay for you to have female friends and for me to have male friends," Shari said, adding that she'd like to continue being his girlfriend.
The couple then walked out of the bonfire hand-in-hand. Javen acknowledged to Shari that she was the woman with whom he wanted to spend the rest of his life.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you," Javen said, before getting down on one knee.
"I want you to be my wife."

"Oh my God!" Shari yelled.
"Will you marry me?" he asked.
"Yes, of course!" Shari replied.
Shari said she wanted to be a different person for Javen, someone who is light-hearted and open because he deserves that.
"Is this really happening?! Shari asked Javen. "You are so amazing. I love you."
Javen and Shari left Temptation Island engaged.

In a post-show update, Shari and Javen are currently planning their wedding. They also took engagement photos.
John said when he got home, he was thinking about forgiving Kady -- and she was acting all lovey-dovey towards him -- but then shocked him with the news Johnny Alexander had bought her a ticket to see him in New York.
John was angry Kady was going to leave him and expect him to take care of her cat and dog.
"I'm such a dumbass for not putting my foot down and ending it earlier... She is delusional and I was like, 'You've got to get the f-ck out!" John said.
John said he was never going to date a woman who brings him down again. He's also remained in contact with Katheryn but he's not very good with long-distance relationships.
John has just been relying on family and friends for support.

Kady's post-show update showed her getting settled into a new apartment. Kady and Johnny continued their relationship after Temptation Island, but due to the distance between them, things didn't work out.
"Our romantic relationship fizzled out and now we are just friends," Kady revealed, adding that she's all alone at age 31.
Kady said she was getting a lot of backlash for things she had said to John but she stood by everything she had said.
Kady added she and John had made the right decision to part ways.
Meanwhile, Karl moved out of his shared place with Nicole and has been working on his music.
Karl said his connection with Brittney Rose was strong and real but "something is still missing," and so dropping everything to pursue a relationship with her in Los Angeles doesn't make sense.

Karl wishes the best for Nicole and insisted there's no bad blood between them.
Nicole was looking forward to buying her own place and living independently as a single woman. She said a weight had been lifted off her shoulders when she split from Karl and now she feels free.
Nicole also shared how she's still friends with Tyler Sabino.
And as for Kaci and Evan, Kaci is single and transformed her look by dying her hair dark brown.
Kaci was upset Evan stole 10 years of her life and said Evan had sent her a direct message on Instagram that said, "I'm sorry for the way things have shaken out."
Kaci was devastated when she got home but came to realize she's better off without Evan. Her parents also are very glad the pair won't be getting married.

Kaci expected Evan's romance with Morgan to "fizzle out," but Evan moved out to the East Coast in Washington D.C. with his dog to be with and live with Morgan.
Evan said he was welcomed into Morgan's family and it meant the world to him.
Evan and Morgan were then shown enjoying a fancy dinner out together.
"I know you're my forever kind of love," Evan told Morgan at the table.
"I know that I'm going to spend the rest of my days with you baby. Every single day, forever and ever. Please make me the luckiest man alive."
Evan then stood up from the table and got down on one knee.
"And be my wife," Evan said.
"Of course I will! Oh my God, stop!" Morgan replied.
The couple kissed and Morgan cried about how Evan is "amazing" and he's her "everything."
Evan noted a life with Morgan is all he ever wanted.
