Temptation Island star Kaci Campbell is opening up about her ex-boyfriend Evan Smith, whom she dated for years, proposing marriage to Morgan Lolar about five months after the show wrapped.

"To be honest, it was funny because I already knew I was over it," Kaci, 29, shared with Us Weekly in a podcast interview.
"But when I found out that he proposed to Morgan and I was totally okay with it, I was like, 'Okay, yeah. I'm definitely over this guy. I feel nothing. He got engaged to a girl he's known for five months and I literally am okay right now. Like, this is a sign.'"

As viewers saw on Tuesday night's finale of USA Network's revival of Temptation Island, Evan, 28, chose to dump Kaci in order to further pursue a relationship with one of the singles whom he had fallen in love with on the island: Morgan, a 27-year-old real estate agent from Washington, D.C.

Kaci admitted Evan's decision and the lack of hesitation behind it "blew my mind," adding that it "humiliated and blindsided me."
The end of the finale showed recent footage of Evan and Kaci enjoying their lives separately six months after filming concluded, and while Kaci has been doing her best to move on, Evan popped the question to Morgan and she said "yes."
Ironically, one of the major issues Kaci and Evan had in their relationship was that Kaci presented him with an ultimatum of getting married soon or splitting up, and Evan simply wasn't ready to take that next step.
Fans therefore assumed Kaci must have been shocked and devastated by Evan's decision to propose to Morgan in a restaurant in February after knowing her for only a comparatively short period of time.
"I had network people reaching out to me before it went everywhere... I really built relationships with a lot of the crew. They all really care about me so they like to check up on me," Kaci shared.

"When they knew the pictures were going to be leaked, they wanted to make sure that I knew before they got leaked," she added. referring to the fact that another patron on the restaurant had tweeted out a photo of Evan's proposal.

But Kaci insisted on the Us podcast she feels absolutely "nothing" for Evan now.
"The betrayal is so next level, it's like, how could you possibly feel anything for someone like that when they were supposed to be your partner in life and your best friend?" Kaci reasoned.
"I was okay with [the engagement]. I wish them the best... I hope it works out... For Morgan's sake, I really truly do, because I've been in her shoes before 100 percent."

Kaci went on to say she understands exactly how Morgan is probably feeling at this time.
"She's feeling like she's having to attack and defend herself and she's going to battle for Evan because deep down inside, I think she knows this is a really messed up situation and Evan is a really messed up guy," Kaci told the magazine.
"So I really do hope and pray for her sake it works out, because truly nobody deserves to ever be treated the way that I was treated by that man. I just hope that she really has this happily ever after. I really do."
With that being said, however, Kaci admitted she believes there's a slim chance Evan and Morgan will last.
"I know Evan very, very well and... he's impulsive. He does this sh-t all the time. He always makes messes out of insane situations. He dives into things without thinking until it snowballs into a crazy mess he can't get out of," Kaci explained.

Kaci said this is the first situation Evan will have to get himself out of because she's no longer around and wants nothing to do with him anymore.
"His family is just letting him figure this out. His friends back home are not involved with it at all, so he's going to have to grow up and figure it out," Kaci said.
"I just really hope they do get married and have a happily ever after. But is that likely? I would bet a lot of money, that they're probably not going to live a happily ever after."
Kaci insisted she feels no ill will towards Morgan, although a jealous woman might dub her a "temptress" that stole her man.
"No not at all. This is 150 percent on Evan. This is not on Morgan at all. I totally understand that," Kaci said.
"I think for some reason she has some hard feelings toward me. I'm honestly not sure why, but I have zero hard feelings towards her. Quite frankly, I'm thankful she took the biggest problem off my hands, to be totally honest."
As for her own love life, Kaci revealed she'd like to keep it private for now but she's "definitely dating around."

"It's so crazy because I've never truly been single, not since I was 16 years old and especially not as, like, a grown woman and the woman I am today. I am so confident and I love myself and I am truly thriving," Kaci shared.
"So, dating is fun! It really, truly is. Meeting people is awesome. I'm not going to lie, I definitely have really strong feelings for someone. I don't know what's happening with that or what the future holds... but I'm going to be the best freakin' girlfriend. I'm excited."
