Leonard told reporters that Teresa's reunion with husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters -- Gia, 14, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6 -- was "very emotional," according to E! News.
"It was a private moment but it was very emotional, very powerful and it was something to see," he said.
Leonard added that Teresa's immediate family got little to no sleep last night, including himself, as everyone was anxiously awaiting Teresa's arrival home.
"I think everyone is going to sleep well tonight, myself included," Leonard noted, further explaining that Teresa wanted to give her fans a special holiday message.
"'Merry Christmas. Happy New Year....all of you should go be with your families and your loved ones,'" the lawyer quoted her as saying.
But Teresa had more waiting at home for her than just her loving family.
TMZ reported there was a $90,000 Lexus parked in her driveway with a big red bow on it. Although Teresa and Joe were seemingly strapped for cash due to their $400,000 bill in restitution following their October 14 sentencing, they apparently must have signed off on some big, money-making deals to come.
Sources confirmed to TMZ it was Joe who was shopping for a Lexus at a luxury-car dealership in New Jersey.
Teresa will reportedly be on house arrest until February 5, which was her original prison-release date. She must wear an electronic monitoring bracelet, but she's allowed to work and attend Christmas Eve at her brother Joe Gorga's house, E! News reported.
"She's very happy to be here," Leonard said. "She's very much looking forward to a nice quiet low key holiday with her family."
Joe will begin his own 41-month sentence for financial fraud early next year.
