Terrell Owens will be competing on "Dancing with the Stars" this fall.
"T.O.! Legendary wide receiver @terrellowens joins @CherylBurke this season on #DWTS! #DancingOnGMA," the show confirmed Tuesday on its official Twitter account.
Owens and Burke announced the news on Tuesday's episode of "Good Morning America." Burke said she was happy to discover Owens has "some rhythm" in rehearsals this week.
"We did a few hours the other day," the 33-year-old dancer said. "I have to say, you know, he's got some rhythm. We've got to start from the beginning because he's never danced before, ballroom at least."
"He's all about lights, camera, action. He's a performer. So I'm definitely going to use that to our advantage," she added. "As long as we do the work in the dance studio and really practice hard, he can do whatever he likes on the dance floor."Owens said he jumped at the chance to work with Burke, but confessed the competition will be a "challenge."
"Rhythm is not the issue. It's just really trying to incorporate everything she's teaching," he explained. "I'm just going to let her take the lead, and I'm just going to follow."
"Dancing with the Stars" will officially announce the full cast Wednesday on "Good Morning America."
