"I actually didn't come into the Race looking for any test or proof that we are good together, but I got it," Leo said following his team's ouster.
"I don't think there was a moment on this Race when I didn't feel loved and supported by Leo," Alana shared in tears.
"Running The Amazing Race with Leo was the most extraordinary thing I've ever done," she added. "I feel so lucky to have done this and to have found him."
The Amazing Race broadcast began with seven teams learning they must fly east more than 3,500 miles to Almaty, Kazakhstan, the largest landlocked country in the world.
"Former NFL Stars" DeAngelo Williams and Gary Barnidge departed in first place at 1:30AM, and "Pro Volleyball Players" Riley McKibbin and Maddison McKibbin took off at 1:46AM, followed by "Married Parents" Chee Lee and Hung Nguyen in third place at 1:53AM and then "Dating Couple" Will Jardell and James Wallington at 2:04AM.
Hung and Chee weren't sure whether they were going to continue helping teams if they didn't receive any advantage from it -- referencing how DeAngelo and Gary had stolen their taxi after Hung and Chee gave them the answer to the face-forward rappelling Roadblock -- but DeAngelo and Gary still assumed the alliance of five teams was still working together.
"Siblings" Eswar Dhinakaran and Aparna begun their travels to Kazakhstan at 2:13AM, and "Dating Couple" Leo and Alana were on their heels at 2:14AM.

Finally, "Sisters" Kaylynn Williams and Haley Williams departed the Pit Stop in Berlin at 5:32AM after surviving a non-elimination leg, their second non-elim of the season.
All of the teams were able to book seats on the same flight, so Kaylynn and Haley were really excited about the equalizer.

After touching down in Almaty, teams were instructed to go to Kazakhfilm Studio, the No. 1 music studio in central Asia.
Riley and Maddison got there first, and then it became time for the teams to complete one of two possible Detour tasks: "Great Khan's Spy" or "Knock Out Guy."
"Great Khan's Spy" required teams to watch an action fighting-sequence fit for a movie and then correctly answer questions about what they just witnessed. It was all in the details for the teams to receive their next clue.
"Knock Out Guy" required the teams to learn a choreographed stunt routine. If they could hit their marks, they'd receive their next clue.
One Kaylynn and Haley arrived at the Detour, they had to complete a Speed Bump task before proceeding on, which was a consequence for finishing in last place in the previous leg.
Kaylynn and Haley were instructed to apply prosthetic beards to each other in the makeup department of the movie studio.

The following teams opted to take on "Knock Out Guy": Riley and Maddison, Will and James, Gary and DeAngelo, and Eswar and Aparna.

Gary and DeAngelo bickered during the task because Gary apparently felt like he had done all the work.
As for Kaylynn and Haley running in last place after their Speed Bump, they initially wanted to do the stunts, but since the task was full, they were forced to watch the spy movie instead.
Riley and Maddison completed the Detour in first place and were instructed to travel by van to Nomad Village in the Karasay District to receive their next clue. Another "Yield" was ahead in which the teams could use their hourglasses to slow down another team.
The teams only had two legs left to utilize the "Yield" power.
Hung and Chee ran out of the Detour in second place, and Will and James were not far behind them in third place. Gary and DeAngelo finished the task in fourth place, and Eswar and Aparna were behind them in fifth place.
Kaylynn and Haley answered all of their questions correctly before Leo and Alana, and the girls were ecstatic racing to their next stop in sixth place.
Leo and Alana really struggled with the task, but Leo remained optimistic and calmed Alana down. The couple finally got their questions right on their tenth attempt and headed to Nomad Village in last place.

Hung and Chee made it to Nomad Village in first place and chose not to "Yield" anybody.
The teams then learned they must choose a camel laiden with possessions, lead it to an empty yurt -- a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt that is used as a dwelling by several distinct nomadic groups -- and then arrange the items inside as shown in a provided example.
The scene included a local delicacy, cooked lamb's head.
Once Riley and Maddison arrived, they chose not to "Yield" another team because they are "nice guys."

Kaylynn and Haley then arrived at Nomad Village in sixth place, and Will and James yelled at them from a distance to use the "Yield" because only one team was behind them.
Will and James viewed Leo and Alana as a more threatening team since they had finished a leg in the Top 3 before, unlike Kaylynn and Haley, who are always running in the back of the pack.
Riley and Maddison agreed that the girls should use the power to have a cushion of time, and Eswar and Aparna shouted out the same thing.
Leo and Alana didn't think Kaylynn and Haley would "Yield" them because they had a very close friendship, but the "Dating Couple" was wrong.

Kaylynn and Haley chose to use their "Yield," and everyone was pumped about the girls' decision.
"[We're racing for] a million dollars, not for best friends. It's not The Best Friends Race," Will assured James, who felt a little guilty for having planted seeds in Kaylynn and Haley's minds.
Will and James finished the task in first place and were instructed to travel to Zelenyi Bazaar and search the meat market for their next clue. Riley and Maddison completed the task in second place.
When Leo and Alana arrived at Nomad Village, they discovered they had been yielded by Kaylynn and Haley, and Leo noted it was "fair enough."
Kaylynn and Haley apologized as Leo and Alana were forced to wait 20 minutes before being able to begin the task.
Hung and Chee wrapped up the task in third place and Hung -- being her self-declared usual helpful self -- told Gary and DeAngelo they were forgetting the lamb's head, which frustrated Chee.

Leo and Alana left Nomad Village in last place, but they weren't that far behind.

Will and James found their clue at the meat market in first place and headed to the Pit Stop at First President Park, where there is an apple festival every year.
Will and James arrived on the Pit Stop mat and met The Amazing Race host in first place. For winning the leg, Phil revealed the team had won a trip for two to Las Vegas.
Phil warned Will and James the next leg of the Race was going to be a "megaleg" with double the Detours, double the Roadblocks, and double the distance.
Riley and Maddison met Phil in second place, and Hung and Chee completed the leg in third place.
Gary and DeAngelo arrived at the Pit Stop mat in fourth place, and Kaylynn and Haley met Phil in fifth place. Eswar and Aparna made it to the Pit Stop mat in sixth place.
Leo and Alana were therefore eliminated from the Race in seventh place, and Alana got emotional.
"I just think we weren't done yet, and it was really fun," Alana noted in tears.
"But I think we had a great race," Leo added.
