The "Federal Agents and Friends" team became the sixth team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's eighth Pit Stop at Lake Manyara in Tanzania in last place.

"It's been one hell of a ride and it's been more challenging than I ever could have expected," Jamie said following her team's ouster.

"I wouldn't have done it with anybody but Jamie. I mean, really, that says it all," Nary added.

The eighth episode of The Amazing Race's twentieth season began where last week's broadcast left off, with the Race's six teams leaving the course's seventh Pit Stop at Esplanade Estakada in Baku, Azerbaijan after meeting with The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan and learning the seventh leg of the Race was a non-elimination leg.

Since they had been the team to finish in first place at the Race's seventh Pit Stop, "Married Couple" Dave Brown Jr. and Rachel Brown were the first team to depart from Esplanade Estakada at 6:03AM.

They were then followed by "Friends" William "Bopper" Minton and Mark Jackson at 6:05AM, "Border Patrol Agents and Friends" Art Velez and J.J. Carrell at 6:23AM, "Engaged Couple" and former Big Brother houseguests Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly at 6:48AM, Dating Divorcees" Vanessa Macias and Ralph Kelley at 7:18AM, and Nary and Jamie at 9:21AM.

Upon opening their departure clues, the teams were instructed to go on a safari and descend more than 600 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater. They then had to travel to Safari Junction and find Hillary Clington, which was a little local shop, where they would receive their next clue.

In addition, the teams were warned that the next leg would feature a Double U-Turn in which two teams would have the opportunity to slow down two other teams by forcing them to perform both sides of the next Detour's tasks.

Rachel B. and Dave were the first team to arrive at Hillary Clington and they were soon followed by Bopper and Mark, Art and J.J., Rachel R. and Brendon, Vanessa and Ralph, and Nary and Jamie.

Vanessa and Ralph struggled to find Hillary Clington, as they were circling the area but just couldn't find the small stand. They saw Brendon and Rachel doing a task nearby and were aggravated at the sight because they couldn't begin any task until they found the clue and had it in hand.

After the teams retrieved their next set of clues, it then became time for them to complete one of two Detour tasks: "Water Supply" or "Air Supply."

"Water Supply" required the teams to pick up a cart full of empty containers at a specific address, make their way over to a well and then wait their turn to fill up all their containers. Once they completed the task, they would receive their next clue.

"Air Supply" required the teams to work with a local mechanic to fix a tire function of a bike. They had to figure out how to remove the inner tube without removing the wheel from the bike, and then using the tools provided, they had to find the leak, reassemble the tire and then pump it up for a test ride. Once a local child could ride the bike without any issues, they'd earn their next clue.

Rachel B. and Dave, Bopper and Mark, Rachel R. and Brendon, Vanessa and Ralph, and Nary and Jamie all opted to take on the "Air Supply" Detour task, while Art and J.J. tested their luck with the "Water Supply" task.

The bicycle task proved to be more time consuming than the water task. Art and J.J. were frustrated about how long they had to wait in line to fill their water containers because they felt helpless. It was out of their control to hurry up the process and they worried other teams were going to surpass them and get ahead.

Meanwhile, Rachel B. and Dave and Bopper and Mark -- who were the leading two teams and worked on their separate bikes simultaneously -- made a deal not to U-Turn each other once at the Double U-Turn board.

Bopper and Mark were the first team to complete the Detour task. They were then followed by Rachel B. and Dave, Art and J.J., Brendon and Rachel R., Vanessa and Ralph, and finally Nary and Jamie.

The teams were then instructed to make their way to Jack Stelzer restaurant where they would discover the Double U-Turn board.

The first two teams to arrive or actually choose to U-Turn another team could pick one team to complete the other side of the Detour task.

Bopper and Mark arrived at Jack Stelzer and found the board first. They chose not to U-Turn anyone. Rachel B. and Dave were the next team to see the board and also decided against U-Turning a team. Art and J.J. then found the board and chose to U-Turn Rachel R. and Brendon. They had made a deal with Rachel B. and Dave to U-Turn Rachel R. and Brendon if they happened to get to the Double U-Turn's destination first.

Art and J.J. assumed they got to the board before Rachel B. and Dave considering no one had been U-Turned yet. However, little did they know, Rachel B. and Dave declined to follow through with their agreement when they decided not to utilize the U-Turn at all.

Brendon and Rachel R. were the next team to arrive at Jack Stelzer, and they weren't surprised to discover they had been U-Turned by Art and J.J. They then decided to U-Turn Vanessa and Ralph, which was a choice seemingly based on personal issues rather than competitive reasons because Rachel R. and Brendon simply disliked them.

Vanessa and Ralph were very angry and frustrated they had been U-Turned, as they were the next team to come across the Double U-Turn board and realize their fate. At that point, Ralph was losing hope and believed they had little chance of avoiding last place. Following Vanessa and Ralph, Nary and Jamie then arrived at the restaurant.

As a result of the Double U-Turn, Rachel R. and Brendon and Vanessa and Ralph had to go back and complete the "Water Supply" Detour task although they had already finished the "Air Supply" task, while all the other teams got to move forward in the Race after accomplishing the initial Detour task alone.

Once the teams received their next set of clues, they learned they must make their way to The Gem Gallery & Arts and search for their next clue.

Rachel B. and Dave were the first team to arrive at the gallery, and they were followed by Bopper and Mark and Art and J.J. After finishing their second Detour task, Brendon and Rachel R. then arrived at the gallery and were soon followed by Vanessa and Ralph -- who unfortunately got a flat tire on the way but luckily had a driver who could change it quickly and efficiently -- and Nary and Jamie.

Upon arriving at The Gem Gallery & Arts, the teams were then required to make their way to the town of Mto Wa Mbu and find Margaret's Farm.

However, because they had finished the Race's seventh leg in last place, Nary and Jamie had to complete an additional Speed Bump task before they travel to Margaret's Farm. Working with local art, they had to properly set up a display stand using a painting as a guide for the Speed Bump task. Once they created a perfect match, they could continue racing.

Meanwhile, most of the other teams were rushing to get to the farm. Bopper and Mark's driver was faster than Rachel B. and Dave's, so they were able to pass them and jump into first place. Vanessa and Ralph, who were still attempting to accomplish the water Detour task, were certain they were going to be eliminated.

Bopper and Mark were the first team to arrive at Margaret's Farm. They were then followed by Rachel B. and Dave, Art and J.J., Brendon and Rachel R., Vanessa and Ralph, and finally Nary and Jamie.

Once the teams arrived at the farm, they learned it was time to complete a Roadblock task. The Roadblock task required one member from each team to put on a protective bee suit and harvest honey from a hive surrounded by thousands of swarming bees. Once they collected 500 grams of honey, they'd receive their next clue.

Mark opted to do the Roadblock task for his team. He was later joined by Dave, Art, Rachel R., Ralph, and Nary.

Once Art and J.J. arrived at the farm, they ran into Rachel B. and Dave and immediately asked them why they declined to U-Turn Rachel R. and Brendon like they had originally agreed upon. Rachel B. and Dave claimed the other teams were so far behind them it was pointless, but Art and J.J. didn't care. The men were furious Rachel B. and Dave didn't honor their words and broke their pact.

As a result, Art and J.J. assured each other they'd never work with nor talk to Rachel B. and Dave again and their alliance would be broken from there on out.

After completing the Roadblock task, the teams received their next set of clues and were instructed to make their way to Lake Manyara, which was described by Ernest Hemingway as being "the loveliest lake in Africa," which would serve as the Race's eighth Pit Stop.

Bopper and Mark were the first team to complete the honey-harvesting Roadblock task and head to the Pit Stop. They were soon followed by Rachel B. and Dave, Art and J.J., Brendon and Rachel R., Vanessa and Ralph, and finally Nary and Jamie -- who were briefly shown participating in the Roadblock task but not finishing it and receiving their next clue.

Bopper and Mark then arrived at the Pit Stop mat and met Phil in first place. For finishing the leg before any of the other teams, the pair won a trip for two to Hawaii.

Rachel B. and Dave then finished the leg in second place, while Art and J.J. subsequently secured third place.

Brendon and Rachel R. then became team number four, while Vanessa and Ralph were declared the fifth-place team.

Nary and Jamie were then greeted by Phil, who told them they had finished the eighth leg in sixth -- and last -- place, and were therefore eliminated from the Race.
