The Amazing Race eliminated Alex Manard and Adam Dingeman during Friday night's broadcast of the second episode of the CBS reality competition's 27th season.

The "Cousins" became the second team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's second Pit Stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina in tenth and last place.

The Pit Stop took place at Campo Argentino del Polo, a stadium known as the "Cathedral of Polo."

"Two legs -- that's all we got.  We gave this country our all.  We tried everything," Alex told The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan after he revealed the cousins had been eliminated from the competition.

"Couldn't be happier... It's a trip of a lifetime.  I have now lived one of my dreams, and we only went to one continent!"

"Yeah," Adam added.

"I'm leaving this race with no regrets," Alex continued later.

"Yeah... I'm really proud of everything we did.  We may have just done two legs, but it's been incredible," said Adam.

"Engaged Couple and Amazing Race super fans" Justin Scheman and Diana Bishop were the first team to complete to the Race's second leg, which required the teams to fly to Buenos Aires from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Once in Buenos Aires, each of the ten remaining teams had to complete one of two Detour task options -- transporting a statue or collecting cardboard to be recycled -- and a Roadblock task that required one member of the team to learn and execute a tango dancing routine.

"Best Friends and Texans" Tanner Kloven and Josh Ahern were the second team to arrive at the Pit Stop.

The friends finished second by sprinting past "Mother and Son" Denise Williams and James Corley yards shy of the Pit Stop mat believing the two teams could be racing for first place -- an error that appeared to prove costly when Tanner pulled his hamstring as they ran past Denise and James.

"I don't necessarily know how the hamstring is going to effect us with our greatest strength being our speed and ability to move," Tanner lamented afterward. 

"It's just frustrating -- we thought we could be in contention for first place but we ended up coming in second.  I regret giving a leg for second place."

Denise and James were followed by "Dating Paparazzi Business Partners" Logan Fazio and Chris Gordon in fourth place, "Married Couple in Medicine" Cindy Chac and Rick Chac in fifth, "Former NFL Cheerleaders" Tiffany Chantell and Krista Debono in sixth, "Dating Co-Workers and News Anchors" Kelsey Gerckens and Joey Buttitta in seventh, "Best Friends" Jazmine Lewis and Danielle Littleton in eighth, and "Brothers and Breakdancers" Ernest Phillip and Jin Lao in ninth place.
