The Amazing Race's "Former NFL Cheerleaders" team of Tiffany Chantell and Krista Debono were eliminated during Friday night's broadcast of the CBS reality competition's 27th season.

Tiffany and Krista became the eighth team eliminated from the around-the-world competition after they arrived at the Race's eleventh Pit Stop at Nam Van Lake, home to Macau's famous Dragon Boat Race, in last place.

The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan told the girls they were "so close" to staying in the Race. They were disappointed about not making the Final 3, however, they were proud to have come so far and prove people wrong.

Season 27's penultimate episode began with "Dating Paparazzi Business Partners" Logan Fazio and Chris Gordon venting how they disliked the Green Team -- "Engaged Couple and Amazing Race Super Fans" Justin Scheman and Diana Bishop -- even more after being U-Turned.

Justin and Diana were the first team to depart the tenth Pit Stop in India at 7:40AM. They were then followed by "Dating Co-Workers and News Anchors" Kelsey Gerckens and Joey Buttitta at 7:47AM, Tiffany and Krista at 8:50AM, and Chris and Logan at 8:54AM.

The teams were instructed to fly to Hong Kong and then ride in style in Rolls-Royces to their next clue. All the teams traveled on the same flight from New Delhi, India, to Hong Kong, so everyone was on an equal playing field.

Justin and Diana couldn't find what they were looking for to exit the airport quickly, but Chris and Logan were still on their tails.

Tiffany and Krista received the next clue in first place followed by Kelsey and Joey, Justin and Diana, and Chris and Logan.

The teams learned they must complete one of two possible Detour tasks: "Sam's" or "Cells."

"Sam's" required the teams to make way to a workshop and cut out six pieces of fabric for a suit jacket. A tailor would then ensure their cuffs were made to measure before they could deliver the materials to Sam's Tailor, where Sam's son would hand over their next clue.

"Cells" required the teams to search through hundreds of cell phones to find one that worked. After calling the number provided, the teams would earn their next clue. 

Tiffany and Krista opted "Sam's" as well as Kelsey and Joey and Chris and Logan.

Justin and Diana were the only team to take on "Cells."

Tiffany and Krista folded the fabric so it matched perfectly, getting the Detour task done before the other teams. But Justin and Diana got extremely lucky, finding the correct cell phone in no time.

Justin and Diana therefore finished the Detour task in first place. Tiffany and Krista were on their heels followed by Kelsey and Joey and Chris and Logan.

Justin and Diana assumed they were really far ahead, but they hopped into a taxi that got lost and wasted about 40 minutes. The taxi driver took them to a hotel first and needed to ask for directions. Justin and Diana, flustered and frustrated in the backseat, bickered over the situation.

The teams were then instructed to take the Hong Kong Island Ferry to Macau, where they must make their way to the "City of Dreams" which featured the "House of Dancing Water" performance show.

Justin and Diana were told they got on the first ferry available, but that surprised them. Meanwhile, the other teams took a different ferry line and were ahead of them.

Kelsey and Joey arrived at the next Roadblock task before any of the other teams. They were soon followed by Tiffany and Krista, Chris and Logan, and Justin and Diana.

For the Roadblock, one member from each team had to join the water show by performing a daring 30-foot jump into the water and then finding a golden fish below the surface. After retrieving the fish, the participating Racers had to swim to a fisherman's raft to receive their next clue.

However, if the music ended before a Racer reached the raft, he or she must wait for the next performance to attempt the challenge again.

Kelsey decided to do the Roadblock task on behalf of her team. She was later joined by Krista, Logan and Diana.

Krista couldn't find the golden fish after multiple dives into the water. She kept having to wait for the next show to commence to try again. Diana also had to wait 20 minutes for her turn since she didn't get her hair and makeup done fast enough for the start of a show. Diana thought the Race was over and Justin cried in the audience.

Justin told the cameras he'd "give all his wings back" to compete in the final leg and have a chance at the $1 million. He wouldn't even mind finishing in third. Diana cried as well at the idea of going home now.

When Krista was giving the challenge her third attempt, Diana got her first. Krista complained she couldn't see anything underwater, and while Diana struggled as well, she managed to get the job done before Krista.

Krista, completely discouraged, bawled about wanting to quit the task and give up. Tiffany encouraged her to give it another try, cheering her on and lending support. Krista eventually got it on her fifth attempt after regaining her composure. 

Chris and Logan finished the Roadblock in first place. They were then followed by Kelsey and Joey, Justin and Diana, and finally Tiffany and Krista, who were way behind at this point.  

The teams proceeded to Nam Van Lake, which served as the leg's Pit Stop.

Justin apologized to Diana in the car on the way to the Pit Stop saying he took his frustrations out on her.

Chris and Logan stepped on the Pit Stop mat before any of the other teams. For winning the leg, the couple received a trip for two to Peru.

Kelsey and Joey finished in second place, and they admitted to Phil no one would be upset about Justin and Diana getting eliminated. Justin and Diana arrived at the Pit Stop in third place.

But Phil announced Justin and Diana had taken the wrong ferry, so they incurred a 30-minute penalty. In addition, because the ferry they took was 25 minutes closer than the Hong Kong one they were supposed to take, Justin and Diana had to wait a total of 55 minutes before they could check into the Pit Stop.

Justin and Diana, once again, thought they had no shot. Kelsey and Joey and Chris and Logan hoped the "Cheerleaders" wouldn't give up because Justin and Diana had to wait out a long time penalty.

Justin and Diana discussed among themselves how Tiffany and Krista would've had to fail the Roadblock twice for them to stay in it because there was only a 10-minute taxi ride from the water show to the Pit Stop.

However, Tiffany and Krista were shown calling their taxi driver "an idiot" and getting dropped off. The girls found a new cab and were upset about losing more time.

As a result, Justin and Diana checked into the Pit Stop in third place. They were thrilled about the chance to compete in the final leg. Tiffany and Krista finally arrived in fourth -- and last -- place.
