The Bachelor alum Maria Georgas has denied recent rumors regarding the status of her relationship with comedian Pete Davidson.

The Sun reported earlier this week that Pete had checked into rehab and was in "bad shape" after having a brief -- and secret -- romance with The Bachelor's Season 28 alum.

But Maria took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 19 to set the record straight.
"Never dated Pete. False rumor! I'm friends with his sister [Casey Davidson]. Case closed," Maria wrote to her followers.

A source had told The Sun that Pete, a 31-year-old Saturday Night Live alum, has struggled with his mental health and substance abuse for years and he just sought treatment for the second time in 2024.
"He checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently. He flew in on a private jet," the source claimed.
"He's in pretty bad shape this time around. He's not in a good place."
However, Maria insisted in her Instagram post that Pete's alleged rehab stint is another nasty rumor.
"Just spoke to his sister. He's not in rehab and has been sober for months," Maria revealed.

"Can't believe this sh-t. It's very insulting to his recovery and my mental health. He's literally home."
Prior to Maria's public denial, the source claimed that Pete had decided to seek treatment shortly after his low-key romance with Maria fizzled out.
"He ended a fling with Maria just before he checked in," the source claimed.
The source added how Pete and Maria had only dated "for a couple of months."
Speculation Maria and Pete were dating was fueled by Maria commenting on Casey's Instagram page and Casey, in turn, liking The Bachelor alum's comments.

Since Pete was spotted at a restaurant in Kingsport, TN, on November 5, the source said he must have checked into rehab very recently.
Pete had also made a cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live on November 2.
According to The Sun, Pete -- who was allegedly diagnosed with BPD and PTSD -- has checked into rehab at least four times in the past, including "a really short stay" beginning in July 2024.
Pete allegedly checked out of the treatment center just weeks after he had checked in this past summer.

The insider also claimed that Pete's former Saturday Night Live co-stars are "done with him" because he's "too much of a headache" and "really hard to deal with" on the set. He also allegedly skips meetings.
"At least one project has been canceled because of it," the source said.
Pete previously had a relationship with The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian, and he broke up with his last serious girlfriend, Madelyn Cline, in July.
For Maria's part, Bachelor Nation is quick to assume she's dating someone when she's spotted with a man.
Maria and The Bachelor's Season 24 star Peter Weber were photographed in a restaurant booth with friends, sparking dating rumors earlier this month.
Peter and Maria appeared to be out with two friends or on a double date.
Maria, for her part, competed for Joey Graziadei's heart on The Bachelor's 28th season. She finished in fourth place following her hometown date, and Joey ended up getting engaged to Kelsey Anderson.
Maria claimed on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast in April -- while Jenn Tran was out of touch filming The Bachelorette -- that she had been offered The Bachelorette role and turned it down before Jenn was officially cast as Season 21's star.

Maria has since made headlines for being linked to two of Jenn's Final 4 bachelors: Jeremy Simon and Devin Strader.
"Yes, did I go out with Jeremy -- a night with friends, a bunch of us, together -- yes I did," she said in an early September TikTok video. "But Jeremy got sent home. And they ended on amicable terms. They were on good terms."

"And guys, what do you think [Bachelor in Paradise] is? [It's] everyone's exes, girls and guys, on a beach trying to mix and mingle. But I'm not going on Paradise, so I'm doing this sh-t in real life... I think that's very normal and okay to do, so I will not apologize about that."
Maria also confirmed that while Devin had admitted to following her on Instagram, she never noticed.
Jenn was upset because her The Bachelorette winner and now ex-fiance, Devin, had followed Maria on Instagram shortly after dumping Jenn in a short phone call.
"Say your piece, girlfriend, I respect it. I just think without the full context, it leads people to believe a whole different narrative. My name being brought up was a shock," Maria said in her video, before confirming, however, that she and Jenn are no longer friends.
Maria insisted that she had never met Devin before, nor did she play any role in the demise of Jenn and Devin's post-The Bachelorette relationship.
"I can't control who follows who. But what I can control is what I do about it. And what I'm doing is not following back, and I never followed back," Maria vented in her video.
"And now seeing how things transpired, I will never follow that man. And people knew that. So the fact that this whole thing has come out now, and the story has changed is beyond me."
