The Bachelor alum Susie Evans has admitted Clayton Echard isn't her "type," and so she's revealed what she's looking for in a man as she gets ready to date again.

"I always see people say my type must be tall, athletic guys like Clayton," Susie told Elite Daily in a recent interview.

In fact, Susie said her "type" is the biggest misconception about her dating life since ending her relationship with Clayton in late September.
"As much as I adored Clayton and 100 percent enjoyed everything about him when I was dating him, I would not say that's my type at all," Susie said.

The wedding videographer admitted she's into guys "who are really uniquely themselves."
"I've never really dated athletes, ever," Susie elaborated. "I'm interested in quirky people who are a little bit different, especially when they're different from me."
Susie also said "compatibility is so huge in relationships" to her, and so she wants a partner who matches her personality and lifestyle. She also hopes to find a guy whose actions align with his love for her.
When asked if she's ready to get back out there and date again, Susie replied, "I think so."
"I haven't gone out on a date yet, but I'm also in Virginia, and I'm not looking for anyone to tempt me to stay because I plan to move to Los Angeles in January. I'm just easing back into it," Susie shared.

"But it's been exciting. I'm having fun being single, and I'm definitely open to dating. I would go on a date tomorrow."
Susie, who said she and Clayton became friends again last week, even revealed that she already has a crush.
"I developed my first crush post-breakup. And I was like, 'Oh, my God, this is so fun.' With my last crush, I was on a show competing for love with 30 women. This feels way more normal and natural," Susie explained.

Susie recently People that she met "a really nice guy," without disclosing any further details about him.

She explained to Us Weekly that she plans to date a man in private for a while before sharing her relationship with the world considering a romance becomes more complicated in the public eye.
Regardless of how Susie goes about her next relationship, she insisted to Elite Daily that she's "really at a place" where she's "ready to be with somebody and commit to that person."
"And I doubt that I would find my person by going back [to The Bachelor world]," Susie confessed.
Susie mentioned how she trusts herself and her own decisions more than a "dating pool" selected for her by producers.
"Nobody knows what I want more than I know what I want," she noted.

Susie concluded, "I do want to find my person, and I do want to have a family. As much as [life after The Bachelor] has been a roller coaster, it's also been very healing, and I've been able to grow so much."
Susie fell hard and fast for Clayton on The Bachelor's 26th season, which aired earlier this year, but the couple went through a lot of ups and downs, including a shocking finale dumping in which Susie had rejected Clayton's final rose.
Susie and Clayton reconciled in the real world and fell in love, but they announced their split in September.
The Bachelor fans began to suspect there was trouble in paradise between Clayton and Susie in August, when Clayton revealed on an episode of Amanda Hirsch's "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast that the couple had decided to stop living together and planned to move to different states.

Clayton -- who had moved to Virginia Beach to be with Susie after The Bachelor -- chose Scottsdale, AZ, as his new home, and Susie considered relocating to Los Angeles.
"It's really hard because when we first broke up... my first initial feeling was, like, I felt abandoned -- that was my first feeling," Clayton admitted in a joint appearance with Susie on the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast in early October.
"I was like, 'We're just going to end this.' I was upset. I didn't even want to look in her direction because I was like: If I look at you, the hurt is gonna tear me apart."
Clayton and Susie explained how they broke up because neither person felt stable or fully emotionally supported in the relationship due to their insecurities and outside pressure from Bachelor Nation to be a perfect couple.
Clayton shared how it felt nearly impossible to pour into his relationship with Susie when he didn't even know what he wanted out of life and where his future was headed.
The couple also confirmed how dealing with negativity from Bachelor Nation -- including death threats sent to Clayton -- was a big factor in why they had issues and ultimately parted ways.

"I was trying to figure out what my next step was [and] I started questioning who I was because of all the negativity," Clayton said.
He added, "I started to believe some of what was being said about me. And I now look back at it and realize, like, I couldn't be that stable, secure man that I needed to be to really be able to give my all in a relationship."
Clayton said he felt the need to rehab his image and please others, all the while trying to get over death threats and handle problems in his relationship, such as wrongly being accused of cheating on Susie.
When Susie and Clayton announced their breakup in a September 23 statement, they wrote, "We stand in support of each other and hope to see the other go on to find happiness and healing. Although Claysie is no more, we hope that our communities can support us individually as we move forward with love and respect for each other."
And out of respect for each other, Susie and Clayton chose to keep some of their problems to themselves.
"There are things private to us that we will probably never talk about... and I think that's healthy and protects our mental health and what we have struggled with... We want to respect each other's boundaries," Susie said on "Off the Vine."
But Clayton also teased there was a possibility he and Susie may get back together down the road.
