The 30-year-old reality star announced in a series of Instagram posts Tuesday that she said "yes" to Byrne this week after more than a year of dating.

"WE ARE ENGAGED!!!! I'm over the moon!!! The man of my dreams and the most godly, amazing, fun, life-giving, silly, intelligent, wonderful best friend I could ever ask for is my future husband!!!!" Nilsson wrote.

"I have been dreaming of this day forever!! Thank You Jesus!!! Wooo hooooo!!!!! I had no idea it was coming and it was the best day of my life! I love you forever Jeremy Byrne!!! were getting married!!!!" she added.

Byrne said in a YouTube video that he secretly flew to Michigan to meet Nilsson's dad and get his blessing before popping the question.

He took Nilsson on a walk Monday as friends decorated their house for his proposal.

"I walk her in -- she sees candles, flower petals, everything lit up -- it was beautiful," the groom-to-be said.

"We have a projector screen ... and a video was queued up. It was the video of my trip to Michigan -- my 24 hour-trip -- which ended with me and her father in the park and me saying, 'I have a question I want to ask you about your daughter.'"

Nilsson and Byrne were first linked in late 2015 following Nilsson's stint on "The Bachelorette" Season 11.
