After ousting Juelia, Ashley Salter and Nikki Delventhal at the Rose Ceremony, Juelia was the only bachelorette whom Chris wanted to walk out. He said he had a lot of respect for her and found her beautiful both on the inside and out. When Chris discovered his feelings weren't as strong for Juelia as they should be, he decided to send her home so she could be with her daughter.
During a Thursday conference call with reporters, Juelia talked to Reality TV World about her The Bachelor experience. Below is what she had to say. Check back with us soon for more from her interview.
Reality TV World: Were you falling in love with Chris before your elimination? And do you wish you had at least gotten a one-on-one with him? Do you think he really got to know you well enough before deciding to let you go?
Juelia Kinney: You know, I obviously do wish that I had gotten a one-on-one so that I could've gotten to know him on a deeper level. It is hard on the group dates to get enough time to really connect with each other, but I would definitely say that I felt that the type of guy that Chris is, is somebody that I could see myself having a relationship with.
But as far as, you know, a connection, I didn't really feel a romantic connection and I kind of agreed with Chris when he sent me home, because I think we were both fond of each other but we just didn't have that chemistry.
Reality TV World: Kelsey Poe created some major waves in the last episode even though Chris didn't know about any of it. She was miserable on the lake date and even called it a "hell hole." What was your impression of her while you were on the show and was it different from what you've seen play out on TV? Do you think she's trying to fool Chris about who she is?
Juelia Kinney: I never really saw her and Chris interact that much, so I don't really know how to answer that question. But when I personally talked to Kelsey, I know that she's been through a lot also with her husband passing, and I think that she didn't have a one-on-one date with him.
And so, she was maybe getting frustrated that she hadn't had the opportunity to talk to him about what she's been through and how she was feeling. But, you know, as far as acting one way around him, I don't really know, because I didn't really see her interact with him.
Reality TV World: There's been a lot of drama surrounding Ashley Iaconetti so far. She had trouble telling Chris she was a virgin and then got really upset and worried about how he perceived that. Chris Harrison recently made some bold comments like Ashley is obsessed with herself, her virginity isn't a huge thing and the fact she's so focused on it shows a sign of immaturity. What's your response to Harrison's opinion?
Juelia Kinney: I mean, honestly, I think that Ashley I. is a really sweet girl. I had the opportunity to talk to her a lot when we were in the house, and she did share with me that she was a virgin.
And I think that she's really genuine. I mean, most people can't say that at her age and I think it says a lot about herself, saying that she's not willing to do that with just anybody -- that she's waiting for the right person. And I actually have a lot of respect for her.

Reality TV World: Britt Nilsson was clearly a frontrunner from the get-go, but she seems to be getting jealous about other girls and that appears to be turning Chris off. What did you think about Britt and whether or not she was right for Chris? Do you think getting the first-impression rose is kind of a curse and basically sets a girl up to get overly emotional and fail?
Juelia Kinney: (Laughs) As far as the first-impression rose goes, I really am not sure if it matters one way or another. I think that some people think that -- I mean, I've heard people say that that puts a target on your back -- but as far as the girls in the house this season, I didn't notice anything like that.
I think that Britt is a really, really amazing girl. She's a very sweet girl with a very strong faith, and I think that, you know, what people don't realize is that I'm sure Britt had lots of conversations with Chris that weren't like that, but the thing is, they can only show so much of all of our conversations.
And so, I'm not sure, you know, if everyone gets the big picture. But, I don't know, I think she's a great girl. I think that she's really sweet and I think that Chris would be lucky to have her.
Reality TV World: All the girls are basically insisting they'd love to move to Arlington, IA, with Chris if he chose them at the end. Do you think most of the girls were being truthful about that? Because Chris has said he wasn't sure whether some girls meant that. And on a more personal note, were you really willing to move with your child to such a small town? Could you see yourself being happy there?
Juelia Kinney: I think, to answer that question, when the girls say they're willing to move to Iowa, I think they really are being genuine. But I also think that we don't really know what that means because we've never been there before.
But, like, for me, I thought a lot about this before I went on the show, because I wanted to make sure that I was doing this for the right reasons. Chris was looking for a wife, and obviously he said that he wants someone that's willing to move to Iowa.
And so, I talked to my family and friends a lot about this before I left, and the fact of the matter is, I've never lived in a small town, but I know how amazing it is to be in love and I know that I'm willing to do anything if I was head-over-heels in love with a guy. So, for me, I was definitely willing to try to make something like that work if Chris and I had fallen in love.

Juelia Kinney: I absolutely 100% think that that's true. I think that family means a ton to Chris and I actually was really, really disappointed that I didn't get the chance to meet his sisters. First of all, family is really, really important to me and I wanted to see how I felt around them and how they felt around me.
Because it's a big deal, especially because he lives not far from his family and he spends a lot of time with them. So, it's really important, you know, for whoever he chooses to get along really well with them.
So, in my opinion, I really, really think that it meant a lot to Chris to have his sisters interview the girls and pick somebody for a date. I would've been extremely honored if that had been me. I think that they have a good time together and I think they have a connection. So, we'll have to see what happens!
Reality TV World: Ashley Salter engaged in some bizarre behavior on the show. Would you attribute that just to the show's editing -- that they made it look worse than it was, or would you say maybe she just drank too much at certain points? She got so strange at times that some fans started wondering if she actually has a real mental illness, which obviously wouldn't be funny in any way.
Juelia Kinney: Um, I'm trying to think of what to say. I really don't know. I mean, I personally have dealt with someone who has a mental illness and I don't know. I'm not a doctor; I have no idea what was going on with her. I definitely don't think it's the show's editing.
To me, what you see is real. So, I mean, I don't know what to say to that other than, you know, she's a really nice girl and I enjoyed being around her. I really don't know anything about how much she had to drink or any kind of mental illness she might have. I have no idea.
