Daisy Kent has addressed criticism she "stepped on" Kelsey Anderson's big moment with Joey Graziadei by spoiling The Bachelor star's choice and allegedly trying to focus the ending around her own exit.

Daisy therefore sought out Kelsey in her hotel room to compare notes ahead of the Final Rose Ceremony. Daisy let Kelsey know that something was "off" and "missing" in her connection with Joey, and then the pair rode in the same van to the Final Rose Ceremony.
Daisy told Season 21 The Bachelor star Nick Viall that it was "really, really hard" to accept her fate with Joey and put on a good face for Kelsey during the April 4 episode of his "The Viall Files" podcast.
Daisy confronted Joey first and basically bowed out of the competition before he could officially dump her in second place, and then Kelsey said goodbye to Daisy and reunited with Joey, already knowing that Joey was going to choose her and more than likely propose marriage.
"If it would've been a different girl besides Kelsey that I didn't build such a good friendship with and somebody who I didn't know and respect, [I may have acted differently]," Daisy explained of that "unprecedented" pre-Final Rose Ceremony chat with Kelsey.
"I don't know, we just had a lot of really good conversations and we were really good friends on the show, especially at the end. [Otherwise], I wouldn't have went and done that. But I did."
Daisy, however, seemed surprised by the backlash she's received from many fans accusing her of ruining the ending for Kelsey.
"I wish people could've saw the whole conversation between me and her, but obviously, like, it's a two-hour show and it gets cut," Daisy pointed out.
Daisy went on to recall what she and Kelsey talked about that never aired on The Bachelor's March 25 finale.
"We were very supportive of each other," Daisy noted.
"I was like, 'I know he's not my person. I know he's your person.' And she was like, 'I love him so much... I've been worried about you, because I thought it was me, if you were going to be okay.' I was like, 'I'm okay and I want you to be happy.' That was kind of the gist of it."
Daisy said she just wanted to let Kelsey and Joey know that she supported them and was rooting for them as a couple.

"I think the people who are criticizing me, like, 'You stepped on her moment,' I mean, she said too -- it was relieving for her. She got confirmation, I got confirmation too, a little bit. I don't know, I don't regret anything I did," Daisy shared.
"I think I did the right thing and I think I'm happy with how it all played out."
Nick added how Daisy's decision probably made things a little easier for Joey given the lead is in such "a difficult position" at the Final Rose Ceremony.
"Yeah, definitely," Daisy agreed. "And I knew it was probably killing him because he's so nice, and I know he didn't want to hurt me, and that's what had to happen."
When Daisy approached Joey at the Final Rose Ceremony, she told The Bachelor star, "Falling in love with you has been so fun and I do love you. But the thing is, you're not going to choose me."
Joey immediately broke down into tears, confirming that Daisy's prediction was correct.
Daisy told Joey that she realized he wasn't her "person," and she added, "I know that you know I'm not your person. And as much as that hurts, umm, I know you said you want what's best for me, and so I'm going to do what's best for me -- and I'm going to go."
Joey called Daisy "special" and offered to walk her out, but Daisy decided to do that on her own.

"I'm going to miss you too," Daisy responded in tears. "I'm pulling for you!"
Daisy then returned to the van, hugged Kelsey, and wished Joey's winner the best.
Joey proceeded to profess his love to Kelsey, and the couple got engaged.
Daisy turned down an opportunity to star on The Bachelorette's upcoming 21st season, and the position ultimately went to Jenn Tran, who already started filming.
