The Bachelor bachelorette Jade Roper, whom Chris Soules eliminated after her hometown date, apparently didn't see her ouster coming at all.

"I was pretty surprised. I thought from my perspective that my hometown date went well and I was really sad. I did not expect it," Roper said during a Tuesday appearance on Good Morning America.
Roper said she'd like to convince herself that revealing her past of modeling nude for Playboy didn't affect the Bachelor's decision.
"You know, we had that conversation and I felt like he was being honest with me, and when I didn't get the rose, he sat down with me and made it very clear that that wasn't the reason I went home," Roper explained. "So I'd like to believe that. I don't feel like there was anything else that went on that would've changed it."
However, Roper expressed a lot goes on that viewers don't get to see because it's tough to jam-pack so much material into a two-hour episode each week.

The 28-year-old cosmetics developer from Los Angeles, CA, also talked about meeting Soules' parents and whether she could actually picture herself being happy on the Bachelor's Arlington farm.
"I loved his parents. I got to briefly meet them at the football game. I thought they were very endearing and warm. I loved them," she insisted.
"[Also], I grew up in Nebraska and I grew up on a farm. That's something I've always wanted to have for my children because it was very special in my childhood, so yeah. When I chose to go on the show, I envisioned myself being there with him."
Roper apparently got to watch Monday night's episode with previously-eliminated bachelorette Megan Bell.
"It was so nice. I found out she was in the same hotel, so I went to her room and we ordered room service. It was just nice to have her there because there aren't a lot of people who can relate to our experience," Roper told GMA.

And whom does Roper think is the best girl for Soules?
"Honestly, I got a lot of time in with [Whitney Bischoff] the last couple weeks. We were roommates together and I grew really close with her. I really think she's in it, her heart's in it and she's there for the right reasons. I would say Whitney would be the right one for Chris," Roper admitted.
Also during Monday night's The Bachelor episode, Soules eliminated Britt Nilsson and Carly Waddell.
