Soules is "probably our most sincere and genuine Bachelor we've ever had," Harrison told E! News. "I think a lot of people underestimated Chris."
Soules was portrayed as a very sweet and gentlemanly guy on Andi Dorfman's season of The Bachelorette. His desire for a simple, low-key life on a farm had fans worried the nineteenth season might end up being a little boring.
"He's a little more dynamic than what you thought you were going to get," Harrison admitted. "He's making out with everybody, he's pretty strong-willed, and he's pretty outspoken."
Soules' sincerity in his search to find a wife has been a nice touch coming off Juan Pablo Galavis' controversial The Bachelor season. Even if Soules was the safe choice for producers, Harrison apparently believes they had made the right decision.
"He really does want somebody to love," the host told E! News, "and he is scared to death that this won't work."
Soules was worried the women would "see his barn and see where they're going" and then "run," said Harrison. "It scares the hell out of him. He truly knows that this is as good a chance as he'll ever have to find love."
The Bachelor's next episode will feature the long-anticipated overnight dates in Bali and air Monday, February 23 from 8-10PM ET/PT on ABC. Kaitlyn Bristowe, Becca Tilley and Whitney Bischoff are still in the running for Soules' heart.
