Ali Fedotowsky may have quit The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love to instead return to her job, however that doesn't mean that her relationship with Jake Pavelka is completely resolved.

"You haven't seen the last of Ali and Jake and their situation is not over," The Bachelor host Chris Harrison told TVGuide.com in a Tuesday report.

Fedotowsky was one of four remaining bachelorettes vying for Pavelka's heart when she decided to leave the show during Monday night's episode to avoid being fired from her advertising job at Facebook.

However during the preview for next week's episode, Pavelka is seen answering a phone call from his Saint Lucia hotel room with Fedotowsky on the other end.

"Obviously you could tell when she left, on both sides, they're not done," Harrison told TVGuide.com. "I'm really proud of the way they handle what's to come."

Fedotowsky had told Pavelka during Monday night's broadcast that she'd be willing to stay if she knew she'd be the bachelorette left standing at the end of the season --  a promise Pavelka said he couldn't provide her. However Harrison feels there was reason for her to stay.

"I know that Jake was definitely falling in love with her, but I also know that she's not the only one," Harrison told TVGuide.com.

"Usually we are more cryptic on The Bachelor by not really saying, 'You're the one' or 'You would get a rose.' But he basically told her: Don't leave, I'm falling in love with you. He basically told her she had nothing to worry about on that night so she knew she was definitely [in the] final three at the very least."

In addition, Harrison recounted a conversation he had with Pavelka after Fedotowsky left.

"I talked to him later and said, 'Would you have gone so far as to say she's the one or I love you?'" Harrison told TVGuide.com

"And he's like, 'I didn't want to do that, even if she was ... You can't make that choice for somebody, you can't say leave your job for me ... I want her to want to leave her job for me or take that chance. I just wanted to give her as much information as I could and in the end it was her choice and she left.'"

Harrison also reiterated his previous comments that he feels Vienna Girardi -- the bachelorette who is rumored to be the woman Pavelka did select when the show's finale was filmed late last year -- has "gotten a bit of a bad rap."

"The Vienna we've seen in the house around the other girls is very much a defense mechanism and survival instincts and being ganged-up on. Some of it was deserved, some of it was jealousy, and I think a lot of it between her and Ali was jealousy," he explained to TVGuide.com.

"As different as they seem, they're very much alike. They both knew they were the front-runners and were very competitive and I think Vienna got the worst of it publicly and privately. I think she's very sincere and very emotional and very much a family girl. I think the Vienna that Jake sees is more of the real Vienna."

Girardi, Fedotowsky and Pavelka's other Final 4 bachelorettes -- Gia Allemand and Tenley Molzahn -- were all featured in an Us Weekly cover story in last week's issue.

In the feature, Girardi's former mother-in-law claimed the bachelorette wiped out her ex-husband's life savings to pay for breast implants while he was deployed in Iraq. The ex-husband, Josh Riley, also accused Girardi of cheating on him while he was deployed and called marrying her a "mistake."

While Harrison said it "doesn't surprise" him that the bachelorette's "have a past, he wishes some of the information about them didn't become public knowledge.

"You have to be aware that that is a possibility, especially in this day and age, if it's happened it's probably going to get out. I don't think it's the most upstanding, virtuous thing for a magazine to do because... they aren't exactly celebrities," he told TVGuide.com.

"I mean I've been in this game awhile and I know it's part of the game. I don't think these contestants fully understand that this can possibly happen so I'm sure they are a little upset; I feel kind of bad for them. It seems odd that the Us magazines of the world have taken on our show."
