The Bachelor producers warned its star Juan Pablo Galavis he was rude to Clare Crawley and had made her feel cheap after their little ocean rendezvous, but he apparently didn't care, according to host Chris Harrison.

"Even though he apologized later, I don't think he really understood how cheap he made her feel. In my deliberation I said, 'You're not getting this, you really hurt her feelings, you need to fix it and apologize.' But there are cultural differences with him and things do get lost in translation and how it's interpreted. It's his perspective; it's not right or wrong. So it made for interesting conversations and I had to learn to stand back a little bit and respect that."
During Monday night's episode, Crawley surprised Galavis at his suite in Vietnam at 4AM following the group date in which she had already stolen most of his time. She asked him to take a dip in the warm ocean with her, something she had never done before. He appeared to jump at the opportunity and there's since been speculation the couple had sex in the water.
"I mean, [Clare's] totally monopolizing his time, and he's totally into her. But that's what sets up the bizarreness of his actions with her when he throws a curveball [at the cocktail party]," Harrison said.
Before the Rose Ceremony commenced, Galavis expressed regret to Crawley for their actions, saying it wouldn't be appropriate for his four-year-old daughter Camila to see such a thing on TV. Crawley immediately became embarrassed and full of guilt at the idea she had disrespected his child.
Galavis and Renee Oteri had a very different relationship from his with Crawley. Galavis waited what seemed like forever to kiss the single mom while he was all over Crawley every chance he got.
"[Renee] is a normal woman, a mom; she has perspective. But at the end of the day that's what Juan Pablo says he wants, but is that something Juan Pablo really wants?" Harrison told TV Guide.
"They are a good match and nothing will change that, but it's just a matter of him choosing that life. He's very cognizant of the single moms there and has said if he's not sure then he should let them go."
Harrison suggested, however, Galavis isn't trying to be something he's not.
"You've seen [chinks] in his armor already, but I wonder what people will now think about how he treats everyone and goes about things. But this is who he is and what he says and you'll see it, warts and all," Harrison said, adding that the single dad and former pro soccer player is much different than seventeenth-season The Bachelor star Sean Lowe.
"I think Juan Pablo is more obvious about who he likes. Sean was also young and didn't know as well who he was yet and what he was looking for. Juan Pablo is more comfortable in understanding who he is as a man, as a father, and what kind of woman he's looking for."
