Jessica Carroll, a 26-year-old television host from Santa Monica, CA; Lauren Jarreau, a 33-year-old recent master's degree graduate from New Roads, LA; D'Nysha "Nysha" Norris, a 30-year-old orthopedic nurse from Anderson, SC; and Olivia Goethals, a 23-year-old marketing associate from Chicago, IL, were also eliminated from the reality dating competition.
"I just did not expect this, I really didn't. Because I do feel like we have a lot in common and he just didn't get to see it. It just sucks. I'm so disappointed in myself," Amber said in her final words.
"I had my family rooting so hard for me and I feel like they're going to be disappointed. My mom was so excited and was like, 'This is your turn.' I know I deserve love. I know I do, because I am a genuine person and I wanted to be here. It just sucks that I took a risk and it failed so miserably."

And Jessica cried to the cameras following her exit: "Words can't even explain how I feel right now. I just never thought this could happen. I'm bummed. Just knowing that my [deceased] dad met Arie and he could be my possible future husband, it made me feel good, but now my dad will never meet my husband. I feel I came into it with an open heart and open mind, but here I am without a rose. And it sucks, but it is what it is."
The Bachelor broadcast began with Arie, a pro racing driver turned real estate agent, talking a little bit about his experience dating Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette's eighth season back in 2012.
Arie said he had undeniable chemistry with Emily and grew "so in love with her." He really thought he was going to marry her, so when Emily dumped him as the season's runner-up, he was taken completely by surprise and even flew to Charlotte, NC because he "just couldn't deal" with the breakup.
Arie gave Emily his journal to prove how genuine his feelings for her were, but the former Bachelorette was engaged to Jef Holm at the time and thought it would be disrespectful to her fiance to read it, especially when it wouldn't change anything.
Arie spent the next few years dedicated to his racing career, and while he had a few relationships, he never fell in love again. Once Arie decided to build a more stable life at home in Scottsdale, AZ, by taking on a real estate career, he realized he was at the point in his life where he wanted a wife and children very badly.
Season 17 The Bachelor star Sean Lowe, his wife Catherine Giudici and their son Samuel was then shown giving their friend Arie some advice about his journey on the show and how to maintain a healthy romance post-show. Arie would love to have what Sean and Catherine have found together.
Intro packages then played of several bachelorettes to give viewers a taste of what their lives are like at home.

Chelsea Roy, a 29-year-old real estate executive assistant from Portland, ME, was shown talking about being a single mom to her three-year-old son Sammy. She was comforted to hear Arie was the Bachelor since he had previously competed for a single mother on The Bachelorette.
Caroline Lunny, a 26-year-old realtor from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, loves her job in real estate and noted how family is very important to her. She believes Arie is "such a stud," and since she grew up around cars, she anticipated having a lot to talk to Arie about.
And then there was the beautiful Maquel Cooper, a 23-year-old photographer from Orem, UT, who is a bridal photographer and said she really wants to find love. She remembers Arie being sweet and genuine on The Bachelorette, so she was excited to meet him and find out if he could like her.
Nysha spoke about how she loves an adrenaline rush, and Tia Booth, a 26-year-old physical therapist from Weiner, AR, revealed she's from a small town where there's limited to do for fun.
Tia therefore enjoys the outdoors and shoots guns, and she revealed she's good friends with The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum Raven Gates. Raven had told Tia how the show was so real for her and it can really work.
Kendall Long, a 26-year-old creative director from Los Angeles, CA, collects taxidermy and plays the ukulele. She told the cameras that she knows who she is and what she wants in a partner.
And Rebekah "Bekah" Martinez is a 22-year-old nanny from Los Angeles, CA. She said she's a mix of "gentle and nurturing" with moments of being energetic, adventurous and spontaneous. For example, Bekah loves rock climbing.

As for Krystal Nielson, a 30-year-old fitness coach from San Diego, CA, she's passionate about nutrition and people. After recently finding out her brother has been living on the streets for a couple of years, Krystal began volunteering for the homeless people in her area. However, she realized it was time to focus on herself, and she entered the process with an open heart.
When Night 1 of Arie's journey fell at The Bachelor mansion in Los Angeles, he confessed to Chris Harrison he was "freaking out" and this process "better work" for him.
The limos then began arriving one by one. Caroline, the real estate agent, joked about how she and Arie could both end up "off the market," and Arie whispered under his breath that the meet and greets started off well.
Arie said "wow" when Chelsea stepped out of a limo, and after a brief conversation, he admitted she was "interesting."
Seinne gave Arie a pair of elephant cufflinks, which symbolize "good luck and loyalty." Arie thought she was "beautiful" and that her gift was very sweet.
When it came to gifts, Tia offered Arie something totally opposite of cufflinks. She gave the Bachelor a tiny wiener and said she hopes he didn't have one already. Arie laughed at the joke and said, "I like her," as she walked away.
Arie was absolutely "blown away" by his batch of ladies, telling the cameras that they were "gorgeous" and seemed interesting.
Just as Chelsea was bragging to the cameras about how all the girls were beautiful but there were no threats, Bekah drove up in a '65 cherry red mustang. She told Arie that although she's young, she can definitely appreciate a classic.
When Bekah walked away, Arie shook his head back and forth and whispered under his breath, "She is so beautiful."
The other Becca -- Rebecca "Becca" Kufrin, a 27-year-old publicist from Minneapolis, MN -- later got the Bachelor to kneel down on one knee. She made Arie repeat after her with a ring box in hand, "Are you ready to do the damn thing," and he admitted "that was a first for me."
Arie thought Jennifer "Jenny" Delaney, a 25-year-old graphic designer from Chicago, IL, was "pretty" and Lauren Schleyer, a 31-year-old social media manager from Dallas, TX, was "so beautiful," and then Amber arrived with a punch line that didn't seem to go over too well.
Amber, a spray-tan salon owner, told the Bachelor upon first meeting him, "In my line of work, I see a lot of dicks, and I'm just hoping you are not one."

Annaliese then arrived dressed as a fellow "kissing bandit" so Arie wouldn't be alone.
But in the grand entrance of the night, Maquel drove up to the mansion in an actual race car. Once she took the helmet off her head, she shook her long blonde locks like a leading lady in a James Bond movie. All the girls were pretty jealous, wishing they had thought of that entrance.
Chelsea, however, sniped that Maquel was one of the last girls to arrive and she would probably remain in last throughout the rest of the season. Chelsea later called Maquel "loud" and "the girl who makes all the noise."
Arie then attempted to get to know each bachelorette better during the season's first cocktail party.
The Bachelor tried to engage in good conversation with each lady, and he found Chelsea "mysterious," while Maquel asked to take a selfie with the Bachelor. Brittany T. found herself incredibly attracted to Arie, and she had them race mini cars against each other.
Brittany asked Arie for a kiss if she won the race, and although the Bachelor got off to a fast start and would've defeated her by a mile, he still gave her a little peck on the lips. Buzz quickly circulated in the mansion that Brittany was Arie's first kiss of the season, and she said he definitely lived up to his "kissing bandit" nickname.
Kendall sang Arie a song on the ukulele, and then Jenna gave Arie a foot massage using her pedicure machine. Arie admitted to cameras Jenna was "all over the place" and he didn't even understand what she does for work.
However, Jenna's chaotic and bubbly nature left Arie curious, so he said he wanted to keep her around longer.
After talking with Annaliese, Arie found her very sincere, and Becca showed the Bachelor letters she had brought from home. Becca insisted family means the world to her, and she appeared to have a nice conversation with Arie. Becca joked that she'd be the first and last girl to get Arie down on bended knee.
When the First Impression Rose was brought out, everyone could feel the pressure and tension heighten in the room.
Right when Krystal got some time with Arie, Chelsea interrupted the pair for a second conversation with Arie. Krystal called the move "rude and disrespectful," but Chelsea's time definitely paid off, as she got to make out with Arie and achieve his first real kiss of Season 22.

When Bekah got her time with Arie, they sat on the back of her mustang. She asked him to name three things that made him excited, and he revealed adrenaline is one of them. Bekah could agree with that since she's a rock climber, and as their conversation went a little deeper, Arie found the bachelorette to be "stunning, smart and funny."
However, Arie gave his coveted First Impression Rose to Chelsea, because she made him feel so confident in himself and his decision to do the show.
Arie requested Chelsea open up to him more in return because he was there for her, and she agreed to try. Chelsea bragged to the cameras afterward about how she goes after something that she wants, although she's not competitive by nature.
The First Impression Rose stung Krystal the most, since her time was cut short with Arie due to Chelsea's aggressive play. Krystal felt if she had more time with Arie, she might have received that special rose.
Following a long and somewhat stressful night, it became time for Arie to hand out roses to the women he'd like to keep.
