The Bachelor star Peter Weber eliminated Alayah Benavidez after Sydney Hightower and several other women threw her under the bus for allegedly being fake, but Peter seemed to regret his decision after the third Rose Ceremony of Season 24 that aired during Monday night's broadcast on ABC.

"I'm disappointed. This didn't end at all how I had expected," Alayah said in her final words.
"It just sucks I'm going out because of other people's opinions and not what he saw directly from me. That's the hardest part."

In addition to Alayah, Peter also eliminated Sarah Coffin, Alexa Caves, and Jasmine Nguyen during the episode.

The Bachelor broadcast began with Hannah Ann Sluss and Kelsey Weier crying over the ChampagneGate scandal.
Hannah Ann insisted she'd never steal champagne from someone and Kelsey had bullied her, but because Hannah Ann vented those frustrations to Peter the night prior, Kelsey was also crying.
However, Peter was hoping to move on from the feud by enjoying a fun-filled date with Victoria Paul, who hoped Peter would open up to her and forget all of his worries about drama in the house.
Victoria P. and Peter have a one-on-one date
For their date, Peter and Victoria P. went shopping for cowboy boots and hats so they could look the part for a day of line dancing.
The couple danced at a venue with live music, and Peter had a blast on the date and said Victoria P. really impressed him on the dance floor. Victoria P. in turn thought Peter was sexy and incredible.

"I have more than just a crush on Peter right now. I feel really, really good," Victoria P. told the Bachelor.
Victoria P. told Peter after dancing she had never expected to feel so comfortable around him and she was smitten with him, and Peter admitted he felt the same way about her in return.

The pair kissed multiple times on their date and Peter acknowledged chemistry was definitely there between them.
Back at The Bachelor mansion, Kelsey and Hannah Ann had a confrontation in which Hannah Ann said Kelsey didn't know her and so she never should have called her "a b-tch" and "fake."

As Kelsey and Hannah Ann bickered, several other girls watched from a distance and called the drama "so stupid." Victoria Fuller, for example, wanted everyone to focus on their connection with Peter rather than a silly bottle of champagne.
That night, Peter and Victoria P. talked over dinner and the bachelorette opened up about her difficult past.
Victoria P. said her father passed away when she was young and her mother took his death really hard and then fell into addiction. Victoria P. apparently was in and out of shelters growing up and so she had to be a rock for her mother and sister, which is why the nurse is naturally a caregiver today.
Victoria P. told Peter that she didn't always know if she'd have food but she always took care of her sister, even if it meant peeling a potato for her and putting salt and pepper on it.
Victoria P. therefore dreamed of having a house, a family, and a happy life at home. She felt deserving of someone who will love and care for her as much as she does for them.

Peter assured the bachelorette that she was so worthy and deserving of love, and Victoria P. questioned if the stars had aligned for them to fall in love on the show.

"Who knows if the stars are aligned for us. A couple of days before all of this started, I just had a really special moment where I had felt like I just knew this was going to work," Peter told Victoria P.
"I just started talking to God, and I was just like, 'I don't know where she is, but watch over her.' And the second I said that, a shooting star went across the sky. She could be here right now sitting next to me."
Victoria P. replied, "Could be," and then the pair kissed and Peter gave her a rose.
Peter said Victoria P. had inspired him and shown him so much of her heart.
"It feels so right with you -- like insanely right. It's so early on, I know, but that's totally okay with me," Peter told her.
Victoria P. felt grateful and appreciative Peter had accepted her for who she is, and then the couple made out inside a plane.
Sydney says something's "off" with Alayah
The next day, Alayah was shown telling the girls that while everyone believes she's an elegant and proper beauty queen, she can get "nasty" and knows how to put a good face on for the public.
"If Peter wants to be part of the Mile High club, I would gladly join it," Alayah told the cameras.
Sydney Hightower noticed something was "off" about Alayah and she didn't want to be around the bachelorette.

A Date Card then arrived for Kiarra Norman, Sarah Coffin, Tammy Ly, Kelley Flanagan, Shiann Lewis, Savannah Mullins, Sydney, and Alayah.
"I love surprises. I hope you do too," the Date Card read.

Sydney called Alayah "fake" and said Peter deserves someone on the show 100 percent sincerely and genuinely there for him.
Peter goes on a group date
The next day, The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum Demi Burnett woke up all the bachelorettes and had two accomplices smack the girls with pillows. It was a rude awakening, as Demi also ran around with a siren.
Demi then gave the girls participating in the Group Date pajamas and lingerie to wear for an epic pillow-fight competition. Kiarra notably pronounced lingerie as "linger-y" but she got it right later on.
The girls duked it out two at a time in a wrestling or boxing-style ring as feathers from the pillows flew everywhere.
Tammy showed off her wrestling moves in the first round and was disqualified after pinning Kelley down.
And although Sydney assumed Alayah wouldn't want to mess her hair up in the ring, the two girls competed in the final round against each other because Demi thought they both brought the most effort.
In the end, Alayah won the pillow-fight competition and a sparkly silver crown that resembled one from a beauty pageant. She set out to have meaningful time with Peter that night.
Sydney and Alayah clash
"Alayah is the type of girl that puts on the Pretty Little Princess facade and flaunts herself in front of the cameras in an absolute orchestrated show," Sydney said in a confessional, adding that Alayah was cheating Peter out of what he was looking for in this process.
Peter told Alayah he had a really good feeling about her and there was something about her that drew him in. He thought she was positive and fun, and Peter was getting excited about the future.

But Sydney thought Alayah was manipulative and that Peter should be with someone sincere and down to earth. The girls then had a conversation that was a little tense.
Sydney asked Alayah if she works, and Alayah responded by saying she holds down three jobs. Sydney then asked if Alayah still has pageantry in her blood in terms of how she acts and behaves, and Alayah explained she's just used to being prim and proper all the time because that's her life.
Alayah revealed she's won several pageant titles and that's been a huge part of her life for eight years.
Sydney then told Alayah she sounded "so rehearsed" and seemed to turn "on" for the cameras. Sydney wanted Alayah to be her real self around Peter because the pilot wanted a real person.
After Peter told Kelley that she was a big part of the reason why he thought The Bachelor process could work for him and he loved her intelligence, he kissed Tammy and then spent some alone time with Sydney. Peter could feel the process working for him.

Sydney hints about Alayah to Peter
Sydney told Peter she felt like she was "the polar opposite" of some people he seemed to have a strong connection with. Sydney explained some girls were not themselves and were putting on a facade for him.
Sydney said some ladies were "so artificial" when the cameras turned on, and that was one of Peter's biggest fears. He didn't want to fall for a woman who wasn't on the show for the right reasons.
When Peter returned to the whole group on the date, Peter announced concerns had been expressed that some of the women weren't being real with him.
"I hate feeling like I may be possibly being fooled right now," Peter said.
Peter makes Sydney publicly call out Alayah
Peter therefore put Sydney on the spot and asked her to name the people whom she was worried about because he trusted her and wanted to "squash this right now." Sydney then called out Alayah's name, saying she was wrapped up "in the imagery of things."
When Alayah asked if anyone else felt that way, no one spoke up.

Peter asked everyone to be real and raw because he was giving the process his everything. Peter told the girls he didn't have time for anyone who was appearing on the show for the cameras and for fame.
Peter then walked away, and Sydney attempted to justify her reasons for speaking up to Peter.
"I feel you give reactions and your reactions are a little bit -- Alayah, come on," Sydney said.
"I'm not denying it," Alayah noted.
Sydney therefore acknowledged she had every right to voice her opinion on the subject because Alayah's reactions to things seemed "fabricated" and "a little too much."
But Alayah argued she has a big personality, and she wasn't happy Sydney had ruined her night and gave Peter doubts about her. Alayah was confused about what Peter thought of her, and so she chased him down to get to the bottom of things.

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't feel something for you, and I do, and it terrifies the hell out of me... The possibility you think I'm being fake just sucks," Alayah told Peter in tears.
Peter was confused because he believed Sydney, but at the same time, he believed Alayah and admitted he liked her a lot. Peter wanted an honest woman who would put him first, and so he was ultimately happy Sydney had said something.

Peter therefore gave Sydney the Group Date rose because she had made it known she was on The Bachelor just for him.
Alayah said had Sydney kept her opinions to herself, she would have been thriving in the competition to win Peter's heart.
Peter asks the girls more about Alayah
The next day, Chris Harrison met with the girls and revealed they'd be enjoying the day with Peter at a pool party. The cocktail party was canceled for the night, so after the party, the women would head straight into the Rose Ceremony.

When Peter addressed the group, he confessed he wasn't feeling great and doubt was beginning to creep in. Peter wanted to find magic with someone and decided to use the day as an opportunity to get the answers he needed.
Peter apologized to Sydney for putting herself in a bad or uncomfortable decision the previous night, but she was okay with it. She just advised the Bachelor to avoid pretty looks and sweet voices and turn his focus to what's on the inside.
Peter then seemed to spend the day asking all the girls about Alayah. Kelsey told Peter that she loved Alayah as a person but agreed Alayah knew how to turn it on for cameras, and Natasha Parker and Lexi Buchanan said the same thing.
"I've just never been drawn to her as a person. We'll be hanging out and then all of a sudden, the cameras come on and her voice goes up like five octaves," Lexi shared with Peter.
"I just feel like I'm not getting a genuine version -- I'm getting a version that is most perfect. I don't want you to end up at the end of this being like, 'Oh, that's not who I thought it was.'"

Alayah said she would never talk to Peter about his other relationships, and so that's why she was so upset about Sydney. Alayah didn't want to go home because of what Sydney thought she saw and observed of her.
Alayah then sat down with Sydney and argued Sydney was not privy to her conversations with Peter, nor had Sydney watched her with Peter. Alayah insisted she had shown the pilot many sides and layers to herself.
"Your opinion of me is so far from the actual reality of who I am," Alayah told Sydney.
Alayah was done being quiet and "weak," because she accused Sydney of being a liar. Alayah said Sydney's story was just an opinion -- not fact.
Madison Prewett succeeded in helping Peter forget about all the drama in the house, but then Alayah pulled Peter aside to clear the air and show him her heart. She was desperate for Peter to trust her because relationships depend on trust.
Alayah swore to Peter she felt butterflies for him and really liked and cared about him. Alayah said being with Peter was worth everything she was going through and she's a "horrid liar."

"If I'm interested in somebody, I can't fake it," Alayah promised.
Peter felt very drawn to Alayah, saying there was something about him that he really liked. However, he asked her to stop being the perfect pageant queen, and with that, he kissed her.
Victoria P. shares new Alayah info with Peter
Alayah felt she was back on top of the mountain, but Peter still saw red flags with her -- and things worsened once Victoria P. alleged that Alayah had asked her not to tell producers they already knew each other from the pageant circuit.
Victoria P. said she didn't want to lie but Alayah had asked her to lie. The bachelorette also explained Alayah was "really open to all the opportunities that will come after this, even if you weren't her husband."
"So, maybe she's not The One for you," Victoria P. told the Bachelor.
Peter's heart was telling him to keep Alayah, but his head was telling him to stop the relationship immediately and not be fooled.

Peter then told Alayah multiple bachelorettes had questioned her intentions and sincerity.
On the topic of Victoria P.'s allegation, Alayah said she wanted to keep their friendship and pre-show ties a secret just so neither of them would get "disqualified" from The Bachelor.
Alayah said she wasn't being manipulative and she went on the show just to get to know Peter.
Peter admitted Alayah trying to cover up that she knew Victoria P. before the show didn't seem genuine, and he seemed to close himself off from the controversial bachelorette and shut down.
Alayah sobbed after the conversation, and Peter appeared more confused than ever. Alayah couldn't believe her "friend and ally coming into this" had "slaughtered" her name to Peter.

Peter left the pool party early because he was emotional, and so the girls weren't able to see him until the season's third Rose Ceremony.
Mykenna Dorn was especially upset because she had really been looking forward to alone time with Peter.
Peter decides to send Alayah home
At the Rose Ceremony, Peter apologized to the women he had neglected during the week.
Peter then handed out roses in the following order: Kelsey, Hannah Ann, Natasha, Lexi, Madison, Shiann, Kelley, Kiarra, Tammy, Savannah, and Deandra Kanu.
When only two roses remained, Peter left the room and spoke with Chris Harrison.
Peter was feeling very conflicted because he didn't want to say goodbye to Alayah and was asking himself, "What if?" Peter didn't want to eliminate his future wife.

Chris could be heard saying it all came down to Alayah, and Peter confessed to the show host he didn't want to end up regretting his decision. Peter wished he felt more clarity in the moment.
Suddenly, Chris walked into the Rose Ceremony and removed a rose that had been resting on the stand.
Peter gave the last rose to Mykenna, who cried before the ceremony about how she had so much love to offer.
Sydney said she was proud of Peter for taking a stand, going with his gut, and cutting Alayah from the competition.

Peter told Alayah it "was not easy" for him "at all" to let her go. Alayah wished she had an opportunity to prove Peter and the girls wrong, but she said she respected his choice on her way out.

"I'm not going to hold a grudge against Victoria," Alayah said following her ouster, "but at the end of the day, I think her comments to Peter are, I really believe, the reason why I'm going home right now. I guess I'll always wonder if that rose Chris took away was for me."
Sydney and Victoria P. planned to keep speaking the truth even in difficult times.
The episode concluded with Peter seemingly distraught backstage when speaking to a producer.
"I don't know if I want to let her leave right now," Peter told the producer. "I don't feel good right now. I don't feel good. I thought I would, but I don't feel good."
When the producer asked why Peter eliminated Alayah in the first place, he replied, "I just gave into listening to everyone else, to be completely honest."
Peter added, "I feel like I'm going to regret this like crazy and I'm not going to get past this for a while. I thought that was the right thing to do, but, like, I don't know anymore. I don't know if I made the right decision."
