The Bachelor's Season 19 runner-up Becca Tilley didn't even cry when Chris Soules dumped her at the final Rose Ceremony, but there's apparently a good reason why.

"I knew going into the day that I wasn't going to be able to say what Chris needed to hear for him to choose me," Tilley told People. "I was preparing myself the night before for what was going to happen."

Becca, a 25-year-old chiropractic assistant from San Diego, CA, didn't love Soules by the end of their journey on the show even though she was certainly falling for him. She also wanted to date him for a while longer before making the commitment to move to his hometown of Arlington, IA. These unknowns apparently led Soules to pick Whitney Bischoff instead.

Although Soules, a 33-year-old farmer, confessed his love for Bischoff, a 29-year-old fertility nurse from Chicago, IL, The Bachelor viewers couldn't help but think he went with the safe choice. Bischoff was less likely to hurt him, and she was more likely to give him the happy farm life he had always envisioned.

"I wished I could have told him what he needed to hear," Tilley said, basically admitting that Soules just needed reassurance from her in order to select her in the end over a sure-thing like Bischoff.

"But it would have been unfair of me. With him sitting there, begging me, it would have been so easy for me to just be like, 'Okay, I am in love with you.' But if I lied about how I was feeling, it was just going to be a disservice to us when it was all over."

Tilley, a virgin who has never had a boyfriend before, admitted she felt at a disadvantage from the beginning of the competition because she didn't get her first one-on-one date until Week 6 and she was also a self-described "slow mover."

"I was far behind the rest of the girls," Tilley told People. "Chris had the choice to continue dating me or propose to Whitney. And he chose her. I didn't get there. And Whitney was ready. She was ready when she stepped out of the limo!"

Tilley believes Bischoff and Soules are ultimately a great match and she's apparently very happy for them.

"Whitney was one of my best friends on the show," she noted. "I love her and I think he is a wonderful guy. They're very well matched. I hope [we'll keep in touch]. Maybe if I start dating someone we can go on double dates!"
