The Bachelor star Nick Viall, dubbed "always the romantic" by ABC, will look for the woman of his dreams when the series premieres Monday, January 2, 2017 at 8PM ET/PT.

After getting dumped by Kaitlyn Bristowe and Andi Dorfman on two different seasons of The Bachelorette and failing to find love on Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise, it's time for Nick to hand out the roses and hopefully find the love of his life out of 30 beautiful and accomplished women.
ABC has announced The Bachelor's 21st edition will begin with former Bachelors Sean Lowe, Chris Soules and Ben Higgins paying Nick, a 36-year-old software salesman from Wisconsin who now lives in Chicago, IL, a visit to share some advice and words of wisdom. Nick must face all-new pressures and responsibilities.
The men's advice will calm Nick as limos start to arrive at the Los Angeles mansion with women eager to make a lasting first impression.
The bachelorettes will include one confident woman who steps out of the limo with the show's famous jeweler Neil Lane and points out the engagement ring she prefers, another woman who reveals her linguistic skills, and one hopeful who exposes her quirky obsession.

A number of women anticipated standing out in red dresses on Night 1, but they unfortunately all had the same idea, so ladies in other colors therefore become more prominent in Nick's eyes.
The arrival of one bachelorette, a woman whom ABC calls "a mysterious woman from his past," will "blindside" Nick. They apparently share a secret that "threatens to derail his search for love," and Nick will be forced to question her intentions.
The party gets started once Nick steps inside the mansion, however, it becomes a competition to snag the first kiss. Nick will attempt to give each bachelorette the attention she deserves, but women who haven't had time with the Bachelor begin to panic.
Nick ultimately finds "instant chemistry" with one "stunning" woman, who then receives the coveted First Impression Rose.
The long but fun cocktail party will conclude with the 21st season's first Rose Ceremony during which Nick must hand out roses to 22 lucky women, sending the rest packing.

Nick will embark on both romantic and adventurous dates this season, testing the women's willingness to put it all on the line for love.
The first group date will feature 12 women trying different bridal themes for a wedding photo shoot.
Subsequent group dates will include a stop at Hollywood's Museum of Broken Relationships, where six bachelorettes must each perform a humorous 'breakup' with Nick in front of a live audience; a Backstreet Boys concert where 11 women will dance onstage with the guys; and a track and field face-off for which Olympians Michelle Carter, Allyson Felix and Carl Lewis will offer their expertise.
Then it's on to Nick's hometown of Waukesha, Wisconsin! One special lady will be treated to a concert by new country star Chris Lane. During a trip to New Orleans, Nick and the remaining women will tour the French Quarter and submerge themselves in the culture -- including a group of voodoo dancers and a VIP serenade by the soulful Lolo.
As for the exotic dates, Nick and his chosen bachelorettes will travel to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and Bimini in the Bahamas, where women will have the opportunity to swim with sharks and one lucky bachelorette is treated to a romantic beach concert by pop singer Adam Friedman.

The bachelorettes' hometown dates will be "filled with emotional revelations," according to ABC, "but in a 180-degree turn, the final three bachelorettes travel to Lapland, Finland, for the unpredictable overnight dates where... more surprises await the unsuspecting Bachelor."
Some lucky women will eventually get to meet Nick's family, who will help the Bachelor decide with whom he's most compatible.
Will Nick find the woman he has long been searching for? And will she love him back?
The Bachelor, once again hosted by Chris Harrison, is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss, Elan Gale, Bennett Graebner and Nicole Woods serve as executive producers.
A list of Nick's Season 21 bachelorettes will be released at a later date.
