The Bachelor star Ben Higgins cut three bachelorettes and had a fourth one quit on him during Monday night's broadcast of Season 20's second episode on ABC.

However, the night ended with only 16 bachelorettes remaining due to the fact Lauren "LB" Barr, a 23-year-old fashion buyer from Stillwater, OK, decided to quit the show.
Ben offered LB a rose but then she pulled Ben aside for a quick chat and admitted, "I just don't know if I can do it," referring to the overwhelming process. LB therefore opted not to accept Ben's rose. He was a little disappointed but understood since The Bachelor is a two-way street.
The episode began with Lace Morris, a 25-year-old real estate agent from Denver, CO, telling the cameras she got too drunk on Night 1 and failed to show Ben her true self. She hoped to get a date to redeem herself.
The season's first Date Card soon arrived and the following girls were invited on a group outing: Jackie; LB; Mandi; Becca Tilley, a 26-year-old chiropractor assistant from San Diego, CA; Jubilee Sharpe, a 24-year-old war veteran from Miami, FL; Amber James, a 30-year-old bartender from Chicago, IL; Lauren Himle, a 25-year-old kindergarten teacher from Ann Arbor, MI; Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher, a 24-year-old real estate developer from Dallas, TX; Lace Morris, a 25-year-old real estate agent from Denver, CO; and Jennifer Saviano, a 25-year-old small business owner from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Ben took the women "back to school." Once inside a high school, host Chris Harrison explained the girls must "take classes" in teams of two, and at the end of each class, one team would be eliminated until only one remains.
Classes entailed the bachelorettes building explosive volcanoes, bobbing for apples, finding the state of Indiana on a map of the United States, and making a basketball free throw.
Amber and Mandi won, and then the two girls were required to race each other on an outdoor track. Mandi defeated everyone and therefore became homecoming queen. She got to ride around the track alone in a car with Ben, wearing a tiara and letterman jacket. Amber was so sad her time with Ben was taken away.
That night, the group of bachelorettes got to spend more time with Ben, and Becca pulled him away first. Lace was determined, however, to get the rose and she was having a little meltdown.
Becca told Ben that being with him was "easy and fun." She had been so excited to meet him. Becca then reassured Ben she was "in this" and no longer holding herself back in the fear of getting hurt. Ben was excited to move forward with Becca. Ben also saw something special in Jennifer, and he kissed her.
Meanwhile, everyone at the mansion received the next Date Card. Olivia Caridi, a 23-year-old from Austin, TX, hoped she'd get the first one-on-one date since she earned the First Impression Rose, but it ended up being Caila Quinn, a 23-year-old in software sales from Wellesley Hills, MA.
Back on the group date, Lace wanted Ben to know she was a "really good girl." She apologized for coming across "negative" after the first Rose Ceremony, and Ben appreciated her openness. Ben did feel a little attacked by her, but he knew the situation was difficult to process for everyone. He also never intentionally avoided eye contact with her.

Lace finally felt they were on the same page, and Ben called her beautiful. Jubilee then snagged Ben for a little alone time and he thought she has a beautiful smile. Ben could tell that Jubilee had a lot of layers he wanted to get to know further.
Jubilee revealed she was born in Haiti and stayed in an orphanage until she was adopted at the age of six. She loves how Ben does relief work in Honduras because that's important to her. Ben thanked Jubilee for sharing her "incredible story" and then kissed her.
Meanwhile, Lace was complaining about not having enough time with Ben, and the girls were really annoyed because, at that point, Amber and JoJo hadn't gotten any time with him at all.
Ben then asked to speak with JoJo alone. He brought her up on the roof and said he loved her bubbly attitude. She never felt that happy before as they embraced in the romantic setting, and JoJo was shocked she was feeling something so quickly for Ben.
Ben decided to give the group date's rose to JoJo. Jubilee later cried to the cameras, saying she felt like opening up to Ben didn't really matter.
The next day, Chris Harrison planned Ben's one-on-one with Caila -- with the help of Ride Along 2 stars Ice Cube and comedian Kevin Hart. The guys told Ben that he should gauge Caila's reaction to him being cheap.
The foursome drove around LA in a classic car with a couple stops along the way. Ben bought Caila flowers, but then Ice Cube and Kevin Hart made Ben stop at a liquor store. The date ended with Ben and Caila awkwardly sitting in a hot tub inside of a store and drinking champagne. Ben thought Caila was fun and he appreciated how she could roll with the punches.
That night, Ben and Caila enjoyed dinner. He asked what she wanted in a man, and Caila simply said, "Someone who complements me." Ben explained he had dated women who flaked on him and he was therefore in relationships that were like being on an emotional rollercoaster.

Ben saw Caila as a potential good wife and really good friend. She got the date's rose, and Caila admitted Ben had blown her expectations out of the water.
Afterward, the couple danced and kissed to a private concert from Amos Lee. Ben called it a "crazy but glorious day," and Caila wanted to live forever in that moment with Ben. She said there wasn't a "snowball's chance" Ben was unlovable because she could definitely envision herself falling in love with him.
Meanwhile, Amanda Stanton, a 25-year-old esthetician from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, worried about her journey on the show considering she had two young daughters at home. Amanda didn't want to waste her own time or Ben's. Plus, she hadn't even shared the fact she has kids with Ben yet.
The bachelorettes who were invited on the second group date were Amanda; Samantha; Olivia; Emily Ferguson, a 22-year-old cocktail waitress and twin from Las Vegas, NV; Haley Ferguson, a 22-year-old cocktail waitress and twin from Las Vegas, NV; and Shushanna Mkrtychyan, a 27-year-old mathematician from Salt Lake City, UT.
For the group date, the girls participated in a "love lab," which helped find Ben's perfect match based on scientific data. The bachelorettes underwent a series of experiments for which they were given a numerical score from 1 to 10. There were visual, smell and touch tests.
While Ben unfortunately told Samantha she smelled "sour", Olivia ranked at the top of every test. In the end, Samantha received the lowest score with 2.42 out of 10 points, while Olivia scored the highest with 7.45. "Doctor Love" told Ben and Olivia that something "very special happened" between them. Haley confessed it felt like Olivia against the rest of the house.
That night, Ben was looking for chemistry and he picked Olivia first to chat. Amanda said it felt like "The Ben and Olivia Show." Ben kissed Olivia, and she confessed to getting butterflies and heat in her stomach. Amanda later Olivia where she went for her alone time with Ben, and Olivia refused to answer and walked away.
Amanda told the cameras Olivia was "the worst" and she had gotten bad vibes from Olivia since the start. Amanda said Olivia wanted to get inside their heads and it was working.
Afterward, Amanda told Ben about her two children, and Ben noted in a confessional that Amanda made "so much more sense now." He knew he'd have a family after the show if he picked her, but he was clearly fine with that -- and potentially excited about the prospect. Ben said Amanda having kids didn't scare him away, and then they kissed. Amanda was on Cloud 9.
At the end of the second group date, Ben gave his rose to Olivia since they had amazing compatibility. Olivia bragged to the cameras she was "winning" and people should just start calling her "Olivia Higgins" now. Amanda was hurt because she thought her conversation with Ben was memorable and wonderful.
Once the cocktail party commenced prior to the season's second Rose Ceremony, Leah Block, a 25-year-old event planner from Denver, CO, got some private time with Ben. She feared Ben had forgotten about her, but the Bachelor assured her that wasn't the case.
Olivia then stole Ben just to makeout with him again. She called herself "wifey" and everyone was pissed off she got more time with Ben when some girls weren't even able to go on a date this week. She also had a rose already. Olivia told the cameras she was just "a punching bag" for women who were insecure about their own relationships with Ben.

Ben also proved why he'll probably go down as "America's Favorite Bachelor" after all of this is said and done with. He made the women feel very special and important. For example, he gave a blue ribbon out to the bachelorette who achieved the highest volcanic eruption during the first group date.
Ben also gave Lauren Bushnell, a 25-year-old flight attendant who currently lives in Marina Del Rey, CA, a photograph from their first conversation together. And lastly, Ben made rose barrettes with Amanda for her two little girls at home -- a gesture which made her wildly excited, grateful and touched. Amanda said in a confessional it was the nicest thing a man has ever done for her.
At the Rose Ceremony, JoJo, Caila and Olivia were all safe. Ben handed out roses to Amanda, Jubilee, Lauren B, Leah, Becca, Lace, and LB.
However, the journey was too much for LB and so she told Ben she needed to leave. While a bit taken aback, Ben was able to hand out her rose to another person he could get to know better.
After LB left the mansion, Ben continued passing out roses to Jennifer; Emily; Jami Letain, a 23-year-old bartender from Vancouver, Canada; Lauren H; Shushanna; Haley; and Amber.
