The Bachelor star Colton Underwood eliminated Caelynn Miller-Keyes after visiting four women's hometowns and meeting their families during Monday night's Season 23 broadcast on ABC.

Colton denied Caelynn a rose during a Rose Ceremony held in Los Angeles, CA, in favor of Hannah Godwin, Tayshia Adams and Cassie Randolph.

"I am shocked. I feel completely blindsided. I 100 percent believed I was getting engaged at the end of this, but Colton fooled me," Caelynn said following her ouster.

"For the first time I let myself go there and think it was going to happen and see our future, and then as soon as I let myself do that, he said he wasn't feeling the same. I knew it was too good to be true."

Caelynn concluded, "I just have sh-t luck when it comes to love. As soon as I allow myself to feel that way, I get blindsided and dumped. I hope there's someone out there for me. I really thought it was going to be us, so I don't know what is next. My heart feels broken."

The Bachelor broadcast began with Colton traveling to Fredericksburg, VA, for Caelynn's hometown date.

The couple kicked things off by taking a horse-drawn carriage through the town streets. Caelynn was looking forward to Colton seeing a new side to her in the town she had grown up in.

"I do love Colton, and I'm happy because we've been through a lot but I feel it's made us so much stronger," Caelynn told the cameras, adding that she felt great when she was with him and believed he was "The One."

Caelynn told Colton that he was going to meet her stepfather, John, who played the role of father in her life.

Caelynn then brought Colton home for a "fry party" in her parents' backyard, and John wanted to find out how sincere Colton was with Caelynn and his intentions to get married. John didn't want Caelynn to make a "hasty decision."

After the meal, Caelynn sat down with her sister, Ariana, for a chat. Caelynn said she was surprised by how real her feelings were for Colton and she was impressed by how he had handled her story of sexual assault.

Ariana was skeptical of the relationship, but she thought her sister deserved to be happy more than anyone.

Colton then spoke to Caelynn's mother about how they had bonded through trials on the show and he was "falling in love with her." Caelynn's mother, however, wasn't sure her daughter was ready to get engaged.

John didn't want Caelynn to get her heart broken because he loved her unconditionally. He suggested she should just be friends with Colton, but Caelynn insisted she could see her future with him.

Caelynn noted she was going to leave the process devastated or it was going to be the best thing to ever happen to her.

Colton then asked John for his permission to propose marriage to Caelynn. John said he'd welcome Colton into the family as long as he could promise a lifelong commitment -- and an engagement with absolutely no doubts in his mind.

The night ended with Caelynn telling Colton, "I am confident that I am fully in love with you."

Colton's next stop was Birmingham, AL, where he met Hannah G. -- with whom he had amazing chemistry -- for an etiquette class. Hannah G. wanted to turn him into the perfect southern gentleman.

Colton learned how to walk when balancing a book on his head and properly butter his bread.

Hannah G. then brought Colton home. Her mother, Beth, was taken aback by her daughter's feelings for Colton because she had always been a "momma's girl."

Beth couldn't believe Hannah G. was so smitten in such a short period of time, and she was afraid of her daughter getting hurt.

Hannah G.'s cousins and best friend could tell how comfortable she was with Colton at dinner, and Hannah G. told her loved ones he had blown her expectations out of the water.

Hannah G.'s father Tom then asked Colton to share his intentions. Colton explained he knew Hannah G. was "somebody special" from the moment he met her and she had "everything" he was looking for in a partner.

"I don't want to just be a coin toss at the end of this, and he validated that for me," Hannah G. told Beth, "by doing the little things -- accepting who I am, and he makes me feel safe... He is somebody who I truly, truly see it possibly working out in the end."

Hannah G. cried to her mom, saying she'd never put the family through this experience if she couldn't picture being Colton's wife. Beth was then "onboard with love."

Meanwhile, Colton asked Tom for his permission to marry Hannah G. Tom was blown away by Colton's request and offered his blessing as long as things continued down the great path they were on.

After the meet and greet, Hannah told Colton, "I feel like you are home... and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. You are such a special person and I am falling in love with you."

"I am falling in love with you too. I really am," Colton replied.

Hannah was so happy to have expressed her feelings to Colton and been given her family's approval.

Tayshia's hometown date was up next in Santa Ana, CA. Since their relationship had been about trust, Tayshia blindfolded Colton and drove him to their next destination.

Tayshia eventually took Colton skydiving, and he was totally shocked.

Colton appeared terrified at the moment he needed to jump out of a plane, but he said it ended up being "one hell of a date," and Tayshia got to enjoy another once-in-a-lifetime experience with Colton. Colton brought out a side to Tayshia she absolutely loved.

"This whole thing has made me realize I am falling in love with you and I appreciate you so much," Tayshia told Colton after jumping.

Colton then shared how he realized he was "falling in love" with Tayshia too the moment she had left his apartment in Denver, CO.

Tayshia revealed the last man she had brought home was her ex-husband and so the gathering was a big deal for her.

Once Colton met Tayshia's family, her father sunk into "protective mode" because he didn't want to see his daughter get hurt again. Colton assured the family his feelings for Tayshia were very strong and his motives were pure.

Tayshia told her mom, Rosario, she knew what she wanted and didn't want in a relationship after her divorce. She was glowing and gushed about Colton being an amazing man.

Meanwhile, Colton assured Tayshia's father he was falling in love with Tayshia and his feelings were real.

Colton admitted there were three other relationships in the mix but he would be able to honestly tell Tayshia if he was in love with someone else. Tayshia's father asked Colton not to lead his daughter on and to always be honest.

Colton said he only wants to get engaged and married once, knowing it's a huge commitment. He then asked Tayshia's dad for his blessing to propose marriage, but Colton did not receive it.

Tayshia's father respected Colton and wished him the best of luck in his relationship, but he couldn't give permission for the couple to take such a big step so quickly.

Tayshia told her dad that Colton was sincere and upfront. Tayshia said there were red flags in her past relationship but Colton didn't just tell her what she wanted to hear.

Tayshia said Colton had her heart and if he asked her to marry him at that moment, she would say yes.

Tayshia's dad said, "You don't microwave relationships," but Tayshia promised she was being smart and cautious. He could see Tayshia was genuinely happy, so despite his skepticism, he decided to trust his daughter.

After speaking with Tayshia, Mr. Adams felt much better about her romance. He thought Colton was genuine and sincere, and so with that being said, he finally told Colton it would be okay to pop the question.

Colton felt great because he didn't want to move forward in his relationship with Tayshia without her dad's approval.

Tayshia told the cameras she had found a love she's always wanted and could see him getting down on one knee.

Afterward, Colton paid a visit to Huntington Beach, CA, to see Cassie, and she taught him how to surf at the beach.

Colton said his relationship with Cassie was one of the strongest and he was incredibly attracted to her, as she was the perfect combination of "sexy and cute." However, he didn't know where she stood -- and he was desperate to find out.

Cassie could tell Colton was falling in love with her, and she noted "a part" of her was falling too. But Cassie didn't want to tell Colton how she was feeling until she was totally sure.

Cassie was hoping to get some clarity after confiding in her beloved family.

When Colton met Cassie's loved ones, her father Matt could tell Colton was being "very affectionate" with his daughter, and he wondered if the Bachelor acted that way with the rest of his bachelorettes.

Matt didn't know what to make of Colton based on his first impression other than he appeared to be "a guy."

Colton said getting approval from Cassie's family meant everything to him because he was falling in love with her.

Cassie then sat down with her sister and gushed about how Colton seemed to understand her on every single level. Cassie, however, wasn't sure whether she could say "yes" to a marriage proposal at this point in the journey.

Cassie could see herself potentially getting to that point, but she didn't want to feel rushed to say, "I love you." Cassie felt if she expressed that sentiment, there was no going back and she'd be committing herself to an engagement.

Cassie's sister advised her not to bury any doubts or concerns because she deserved the best and should never settle for anyone less than perfect.

Colton told Cassie's mother that he was falling in love with her and they had an "undeniable connection." Colton also said their chemistry was off the charts.

Colton, however, needed to find out whether Cassie could "get there" because he was ready and willing to divulge his feelings for her.

Cassie told her father there was potential to get engaged but she wasn't sure whether she was ready for that yet. Matt told her not to jump into anything.

"If I'm going to accept a proposal, it's going to be because I'm sure," Cassie told her dad. "I'm not dumb. You have to know I'm being smart about this whole thing."

Matt told Cassie she's only 23 years old and was looking at "a forever decision." Matt reminded Cassie that she has her whole life ahead of her and didn't need to rush into anything.

Matt's reaction was scaring Cassie because she wanted him to trust her. The last thing she needed was to be talked out of her feelings.

Colton then sat down with Matt and said he was falling in love with her because she's caring and has "a huge heart." Colton could see what life would be like with her, and he said he'd support her and protect her if they ended up together.

Matt appreciated Colton's vulnerability, but he couldn't give the Bachelor his blessing to propose because it would be "premature." Matt felt an engagement should be entered with the utmost thought and care.

After the family gathering, Cassie told Colton she wanted to be "100 percent confident" in her feelings before telling him how she felt.

Colton wasn't sure how Cassie was feeling although he saw great potential in their romance, and he also didn't receive Matt's blessing. Colton therefore felt "more confused than ever," and he didn't know what to do.

Once Colton and the four remaining ladies were back in Los Angeles for a Rose Ceremony, Colton handed out roses in the following order: Hannah G., Tayshia and Cassie.

Once Caelynn said her goodbyes, she gave her friend Cassie a hug and told her to "get engaged."

Colton didn't know what to say to Caelynn to make things right when he walked her out.

"I'm just blindsided, I guess," Caelynn said.

"I just saw it. I saw it. I never felt this way in a relationship. I feel like we had a connection from the start. I saw us being at the end, and I thought we both saw it. I feel stupid for thinking that. I feel like an idiot."

Caelynn broke down into tears in Colton's arms as he attempted to console her.
