The Bachelor star Colton Underwood eliminated Caitlin Clemmens, Catherine Agro, Nina Bartula, and Brianna "Bri" Barnes during the third episode of Season 23 on Monday night on ABC.

Colton sent Caitlin, a 26-year-old real estate agent for Starke Realty from Toronto, Ontario, home during a group date because they were lacking chemistry and a spark.

"I obviously didn't expect for me to be in this position. I'm confused because he got rid of somebody who was here and real and wanted to be here for him when there are other women in the house who are not. This is hard. It's really f-cking hard," Caitlin said in her final words.

"I feel like there were so many other girls who should've been walked out that door before me. I feel throwing me away that early was a really big mistake. He really needs to think about who's here for the right reasons. Life goes on and maybe he'll regret his decision eventually and think, 'Oh that Caitlin girl back home, maybe I should bring her back."

Colton later ousted Catherine, a 26-year-old realtor from Miami, FL; Nina, a 30-year-old account manager from Raleigh, NC; and Bri, a 24-year-old model who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, during the third Rose Ceremony of the season.

The Bachelor broadcast began with 19 bachelorettes still in the running for Colton's heart.

The ladies were Caitlin, Catherine, Nina, Bri, Heather Martin, Tayshia Adams, Onyeka Ehie, Nicole Lopez-Alvar, Caelynn Miller-Keyes, Kirpa Sudick, Demi Burnett, Sydney Lotuaco, Elyse Dehlbom, Courtney Curtis, Tracy Shapoff, Hannah Godwin, Katie Morton, Hannah Brown, and Cassie Randolph.

Sydney said she hoped all the drama was behind the girls and everyone could start fresh and just focus on Colton this week.

Chris Harrison then dropped by The Bachelor mansion with a Date Card, and then the following ladies learned they'd be accompanying Colton on the week's first group date: Katie, Heather, Hannah B., Courtney, Kirpa, Tracy, Demi, and Caelynn.

Caelynn hoped her past with Hannah B. wouldn't affect or get in the way of her relationship with Colton, but Hannah B. was dreading going on a group date that included a girl she didn't get along with anymore.

The girls were then brought to an arena where the live show "Pirates Dinner Adventure" takes place.

Colton greeted the bachelorettes in a full pirate outfit and then introduced them to a couple of professional performers in the show.

The pro performers then dressed the women appropriately for a pirates show and supported them through a competitive pirate tutorial.

The theatrical date ultimately starred Caelynn and Tracy, who won their roles in the show because they had been the most impressive performers during the warm up. Caelynn and Tracy fought to become Colton's "first soul mate" -- and the crowd cheered them on.

Hannah watched Caelynn and Colton's romance progress and she simply couldn't stand it, and in turn, Caelynn could feel the tension between them throughout the date.

"I didn't come here to compete in another pageant," Hannah B. said.

"Honestly, this sucks... It's not easy to see Caelynn continuing to move forward with Colton. It brings out all of my insecurities, and I start to spiral. But if Colton knew the truth about Caelynn and who she truly is, I think he would feel differently about her -- and he needs to know tonight."

During the afterparty that night, Demi admitted to cameras she wasn't worried about the other girls and hoped they would "crash and burn."

Katie and Colton engaged in a nice conversation in which they established they had a lot in common, including their love for food.

Meanwhile, Demi and Tracy got into it again while they were waiting for time with Colton. Demi accused Tracy of "making passive aggressive comments" and being "condescending." Demi told Tracy that she was well aware of her intent and wasn't going to sit back and take it.

"I don't like it, but being an older woman around a whole bunch of younger women and especially the fact all of us are so beautiful -- she is in the cougar club -- I would be freaking out if I was her," Demi said in a confessional.

"I won't ever have to worry about Colton. I know he wants to spend time with me.

Demi then interrupted Courtney's conversation with Colton to enjoy some private time with him.

Demi had a little fun with the former pro athlete and noted she was the only girl who excited him and made him nervous. She blindfolded Colton, spanked his butt and even touched him in intimate places with a mannequin's hand.

Afterward, Courtney pulled Demi aside and asked her to "be more aware" of her tone, mannerisms and delivery when communicating with the other women. Demi told the cameras her competition was just intimidated by her confidence and how "untouchable" she is.

Colton then sat down with Caelynn and they shared a passionate kiss, which was something he said she deserved after winning the pirate challenge.

"When I'm with Caelynn, my guard comes completely down," Colton told the cameras. "Caelynn continues to be, really, just a lot of things that I'm looking for, so I am so excited for [our] relationship."

Meanwhile, Hannah B. vented to Heather how the Caelynn she used to be friends with had a totally different personality than the girl she was seeing on The Bachelor.

"I don't think she's showing her true self and every side of her, and that's why I'm so shook," Hannah B. noted in a confessional.

Hannah B. therefore spoke to Colton about her concerns. She revealed to Colton they were former friends at Miss USA and handle stress differently. Hannah explained "stuff happened," they had a "falling out," and then they never talked again.

"I was in a high-stress situation with her and it was just the most hostile environment I've ever been in," Hannah B. told Colton.

Colton asked Hannah B. if Caelynn is mean, manipulative or fake, and then Hannah B.'s face said it all.

"It's hard because if that's what you want, then you don't want me... That's how I feel," Hannah B. told the Bachelor.

Colton couldn't believe what he was hearing, that Hannah B. had insisted she and Caelynn were polar opposites.

Colton needed time to figure everything out and shut down his conversation with Hannah B., who seemed to realize in that moment she had screwed up. Colton didn't even want to give her a real kiss after their chat.

"He friggin' hates me," Hannah B. vented.

Colton admitted he felt "confused and frustrated," and so he asked Caelynn to talk to him in order to get to the bottom of things. Colton told Caelynn that Hannah B. had used the word "hostile" and said she had to remove herself from their friendship.

Caelynn explained she and Hannah B. handle competition differently in that she gets very quiet. Caelynn also said she had a traumatic experience in her life that she was waiting to share with Colton at the right place and time.

Caelynn broke down into tears and said she had "real life sh-t" to talk about that has affected her life. Caelynn begged Colton not to doubt their connection and the great time they always seemed to have together.

Despite Caelynn's fears, Colton offered her the group-date rose based on the feelings he had established for her already. Hannah B. found it frustrating and hurtful how much Colton liked Caelynn, and she confessed to probably "ruining [her] chances."

Caelynn noted it was "infuriating" Hannah B. was trying to break up her relationship with Colton.

"For some reason, for Hannah B., I trigger her. I'm a trigger for her, and I want [Colton] to send her home because he's being lied to," Caelynn insisted.

Later on, Caelynn couldn't sleep and she couldn't stop crying. She feared Hannah B.'s "retaliation," although she assumed things would be tense when they were both cast on the show to begin with.

Colton and Elyse then embarked on their one-on-one date, and it all began with a romantic helicopter ride to San Diego, CA. Elyse said she and Colton needed to make sure they were on the same page because they have a six-year age difference.

For the couple's date, Belmont Park was shut down for them to enjoy, and they were joined by a large group of children from local charities.

Watching Colton with the kids, Elyse admitted, "I'm a smitten kitten right now."

Colton opened up to Elyse about his job working with children that have cystic fibrosis, and she said it spoke volumes about his character.

The pair then kissed at the top of a roller coaster, and Elyse determined Colton would be an amazing father regardless of his young age.

That night, Elyse and Colton enjoyed a romantic dinner. He was attracted to her confidence, independence and strong mind.

Elyse revealed her sister was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor when she was in her second pregnancy. Elyse said her sister put the baby first and tried to bring the baby full-term, which sadly resulted in a hard battler and her eventual death.

Colton couldn't imagine what Elyse had been through, but Elyse said a tragic story turned into something good because now her family has a beautiful new child in their lives and they started a charity in Sarah's name that provides gifts for newborns.

Elyse called Colton "an incredible listener," and he thought she was so impressive and "unreal."

Without hesitation, Colton offered Elyse a rose and thanked her for being so vulnerable and open with him.

Colton then surprised Elyse with a performance by country music artist Tenille Arts. They danced and kissed in front of a cheering crowd, and Colton called it "an amazing date."

"This moment with Elyse is one of the best moments I've had so far, and I want to hold onto it forever," Colton said.

Elyse acknowledged they had a great connection and she was falling in love. She could easily see a future with The Bachelor star.

The next day, the following bachelorettes met with Colton for a fitness-themed group date: Tayshia, Nina, Catherine, Sydney, Onyeka, Cassie, Nicole, Caitlin.

The group stretched, worked out and got a little sweaty -- and then they learned they'd be competing in a "Bachelor's Strongest Woman" challenge hosted by actor Terry Crews and his wife Rebecca King-Crews.

Comedian and actor Fred Willard provided play-by-play commentary alongside Chris Harrison for the competition, which required the ladies to participate in a tire or "ring flip," a "cake push" and the "limo pull."

It came down to three fierce ladies fighting for the trophy, but in the end, Onyeka took the gold away from Sydney and Catherine.

At the afterparty that night, Colton talked to Tayshia about how he needed a strong woman in his life to occasionally put her foot down and call him out. Tayshia agreed she wanted a strong man as well, and then they kissed.

As for Caitlin, she felt like she was "falling behind" and noted the pressure was on.

During Nicole's time with Colton, she revealed her grandmother had fled Cuba and so she comes from a family of strong, independent women. Colton could tell Nicole was a caring individual, and they definitely had chemistry.

"Nicole is a sweetheart. She is someone who is so real, authentic, and so genuine. I just get excited knowing I will get to sit down with her, but at the same time, I'm excited about a lot of different connections," Colton explained, adding that he had a spark with Onyeka that "never felt forced."

Colton said Onyeka had a "contagious energy" while he also appreciated how cute, quirky and awkward Cassie came across.

"When I'm around Cassie, I get butterflies in my stomach. She's cute and sexy at the same time. We have this natural chemistry. Every time I'm with her, I feel more comfortable and like I can be myself, and that's what I'm looking for!" Colton told the cameras.

However, Colton's relationship with Caitlin was behind the others. He was hoping to light a flame during the group date, but unfortunately for Caitlin, that flame burned out quickly during their private conversation.

Caitlin said she didn't have a significant story to share with Colton, and then when he asked her what she was looking for, she said she wanted a man who would go out with her friends and enjoy a "ridiculous and silly evening."

Colton told Caitlin that she got inside her head a lot, and their connection was just not growing on a deeper level.

"I just didn't feel it," Colton confessed. "I just didn't feel the chemistry or the sparks... and the conversation wasn't the best. The one thing I know is I have relationships that are further along."

Colton then dumped Caitlin during the date, saying he had found clarity during their chat and they lacked a spark.

"I just don't think that you are for me," Colton told Caitlin, who then refused to hold his hand on her way out.

Colton felt terrible for hurting Caitlin and said he just hoped that he was not making a mistake.

Once Colton rejoined the party, he offered a rose to Nicole, and she was more than thrilled to accept it.

The following day, Chris Harrison announced Colton had decided to cancel the cocktail party and host a pool party at the mansion instead. Colton apparently knew what he wanted to do already.

At the pool party, Colton and Hannah G. reconnected, with Colton saying he didn't ask her out on a date because he felt confident in what they had.

And Hannah B. told Heather she was done talking about Caelynn because their feud was ruining her connection with Colton. However, if Hannah B. learned Caelynn was talking trash about her, "a tank of rage" and a "beautiful monster" inside of her would be unleashed.

Caelynn then decided to share her side of the story with Colton about Hannah B. She said Hannah B. basically grew jealous and insecure as Caelynn started to gain more attention due to her finishing as the runner-up of Miss USA 2018.

Caelynn accused Hannah B. of "manipulation, deceitfulness and talking bad" about her. Caelynn said Hannah B. spiraled every time she encountered success.

Caelynn insisted she never had a desire to throw Hannah B. under the bus but she wanted to clear the air.

Colton was confused because he liked Hannah B. a lot, especially after their one-on-one date, and he didn't see this side to her that Caelynn alleged existed.

Colton started to question his instincts, and so he decided to talk with Hannah B. as well. Hannah B. denied Caelynn's accusations and threw some of the same words out, such as fake and manipulative. 

"I believe if you picked her at the end, you would never see the full person. It makes me concerned and breaks my heart for you, and that's me being as real and honest as possible," Hannah B. told him.

The girls were running around Colton in circles and he didn't know whom to believe. Hannah B. begged Colton to trust her because she was being honest, but he was just so frustrated and overwhelmed.

Colton was being fed two totally different stories and had no clarity on either woman. They were both claiming deceit was present, and he didn't want a woman he cared about to take advantage of him.

It then became time for the season's next Rose Ceremony, and Colton handed out roses in the following order: Hannah G., Tayshia, Katie, Cassie, Kirpa, Sydney, Demi, Tracy, Courtney, Heather, Onyeka, and finally Hannah B.

"I was the last one called for a rose, which is scary... I don't deserve all this stuff being said about me. I just never thought this would ever happen to me. This is not fair. I f-cking hate her," Hannah B. cried and vented after the Rose Ceremony.
