The Bachelor has repeatedly teased an upcoming Season 23 scene showing Colton jumping over a fence more than six feet tall to escape production and show host Chris Harrison, who was left calling after him in utter shock and disbelief from a distance.

Colton yelled, "I'm f-cking done!" on his way out.

During a Monday night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Colton revealed more details on the talked-about scene that will air later this season and shows The Bachelor crew members searching for Colton in the dark.

"I think you're the first Bachelor ever to attempt an escape," Kimmel noted.

"Yeah!" Colton confirmed. "It's tough for me. I don't want you to take it out of context, but that jump was very meaningful. I will say that, at that moment, I was done."

"You were done with the show?" Kimmel asked.

"Yeah," the 26-year-old charity founder and former professional football player replied.

Kimmel then asked Colton what happened next and why he ultimately changed his mind about quitting the show.

"Well, it's a long story. Do we have time for it?" Colton asked slyly.

"Who went after you?" Kimmel probed.

"[Chris Harrison] did," Colton noted.

Harrison previously told Us Weekly he was standing about 10 yards behind Colton when the Bachelor made his great escape and he  "may or may not have been the reason" why Colton hopped the fence to begin with.

"And let me just say this about Chris," Colton told Kimmel, "I trained with him, ran on the beach with him in the mornings, and I consider him a friend. We worked out together -- and he's an athletic dude -- he tried to do the fence jump after me the next day, and he couldn't get it."

Colton said he hopes Harrison's failed attempt to jump the fence will eventually air on The Bachelor. (Bloopers, perhaps?!)

"I'm not in charge of editing. I wish I was. But if they don't put Chris trying to jump that fence, they missed a great opportunity for good TV," Colton said.

Colton then elaborated on his shocking exit, "I ran away and ran into some wildlife, and then that's what scared me. I mean, I don't have my phone."

When asked what animal he ran into, Colton recalled, "I don't know, and I didn't want to know."

"I heard something and I was just like, 'Nope, this ain't for me!'" Colton admitted with a laugh.
