The Bachelor star Peter Weber's widely-reported facial injury is not as serious as it was initially made out to be, according to The Bachelor host Chris Harrison.

Reports swirled on Tuesday that Peter had suffered a "serious injury" while playing a game of golf on Monday in Costa Rica that resulted in immediate surgery and nearly a dozen stitches, RadarOnline reported.

But Chris took to Instagram on Tuesday night to set the record straight and assure The Bachelor fans Peter is okay.

"There's been some wild claims and rumors about Peter today. Peter suffered a freak accident. He got a cut on his head, he did get stitches but he's 100% OK and production is already back underway," Harrison wrote alongside a photo of the two men standing together.

"He's still the dashing, handsome pilot we've all dreamed of."

Peter had been rushed to the hospital "after splitting his head open" in a fall, according to RadarOnline's Tuesday report.

"He went to step on the cart but fell and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying," a source had told RadarOnline.

After the fall, Peter had reportedly been transported two hours to a hospital to undergo surgery by a surgeon who specializes in the type of injury The Bachelor star had suffered.

RadarOnline had claimed Peter's cut required 22 stitches.

"He is pulling through," a second source told the website.

It was unclear what impact Peter's injury would have on production of The Bachelor's 24th season, but clearly, Chris insists all is fine and well now.

The Bachelor season just filmed its fourth Rose Ceremony in Cleveland, OH, on Saturday and was scheduled to film its next round of dates in Costa Rica this week.

The Rose Ceremony in Cleveland featured Peter narrowing his pool of women to Season 24's Final 12 bachelorettes, according to online spoilers.

Season 24 of The Bachelor began filming on September 20 at the show's usual Malibu mansion.

Prior to flying to Cleveland and filming its third round of dates, Season 24's first two rounds of dates took place in the Los Angeles area.

According to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone, The Bachelor's Season 24 cast was expected to travel to Peru and Chile for the next two rounds of dates after this week's round of dates in Costa Rica.

Peter's overnight Fantasy Suite dates and the Final Rose Ceremony were then reportedly set to be filmed in Australia.

Peter was officially announced as The Bachelor's next star on the reunion for Bachelor in Paradise's sixth season days before filming began, however ABC actually released the names and photos of the season's bachelorettes before Peter was formally announced.

"I feel so grateful right now just to have this opportunity in front of me. I feel emotional right now, man. This is crazy; this is life changing!" Peter told Chris in front of a screaming audience at the time.

"I have truly, my entire life, looked forward to finding my girl and that person I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with."

He later added, "I have all the faith in the world this can work for me, and I know it's going to."

Season 24 of The Bachelor will premiere on Monday, January 6, 2020 on ABC.

Peter finished Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette in third place earlier this year. Peter fell in love with Hannah and was blindsided by his rejection.
