"Right now I am dating someone," the 30-year-old Montreal native revealed during a Tuesday appearance on Dean Unglert's Help! I Suck at Dating podcast, although she did not reveal the lucky man's identity or many details about him.

Her Canadian beau, however, is "not related to Bachelor-world at all," nor is he involved with the entertainment industry or Vanessa's former career of special education.
Vanessa -- who said she splits her time between Canada and Los Angeles working for her No Better You Foundation -- added her romance "is very recent."
"I don't know where this is going to lead, but I do know I appreciate all his qualities. I feel like I'm a much better person when I'm with him," Vanessa explained to Dean.
"I'm just very lighthearted, and I'm focused on the right things and I'm not distracted by the fake world that we are a part of."
Vanessa got engaged to Nick, a 37-year-old aspiring actor, at the end of The Bachelor's 21st season, which aired in March 2017, but the couple split in August of that year.
"I always wanted to find someone... who's gonna be a great father, someone who's gonna be a great husband, someone who's family-oriented," Vanessa said. "I wanted all those things, but the people that I was dating either had some of it but they didn't have all of it."

For instance, Vanessa doesn't want a partner who is hungry for fame or attention, telling fans on the podcast, "I don't care what job you have. I don't care if you have a million followers. I don't care. I'd rather you not have Instagram. I'd rather you not know I was ever on the show."
Vanessa was previously rumored to have been dating hockey player Brendan Gallagher, but she insisted they're just pals.

"If I were dating every guy I went out for coffee with, I'd have a lot of boyfriends. That's not true," Vanessa explained to Dean.
"It was a friend that I knew before the show. We were both in Montreal. We were like, 'Let's catch up. So much has happened in the last couple of years,' and yeah."
Vanessa and Nick's relationship kicked off with more challenges than the average The Bachelor couple to come out of the show, as Vanessa was living in Canada and Nick wanted to stay in the United States.
Shortly after getting engaged, Nick also competed on Dancing with the Stars, which soaked up a lot of his free time.
"Nick and I were always transparent about the challenges in a relationship. We certainly had ours. I fell for him hard, and when you fall in love that hard, your heart breaks even harder," Vanessa told People around the time of their breakup.
"I'm trying to look forward now and remain positive. It's hard sometimes. Breakups aren't easy, letting go of the idea of what could've been isn't easy either, but I'm trying to stay optimistic about the future and that one day the person that I'm meant to be with and start a family with -- when the timing is right -- we will find our way to each other."
