Jed proposed marriage to Ellen after nearly three years of dating, and she posted a photo of the big oval diamond ring via Instagram Stories.

"BABE DID SO DANG GOOD. That's my fiance!!!" Ellen captioned the photo.

And Jed, who competed on The Bachelorette's fifteenth season starring Hannah Brown, posted a slideshow of photos of himself down on one knee in the middle of a field at sunset.

"Ellen, you are the greatest joy of my life. Getting to spend so much time with you has taught me so much," Jed, 28, wrote Sunday on Instagram.

"Above all, our ability to work through difficult situations has been very impressive. We never turn and run on each other, we face life head on and figure it out."

The country singer continued, "We had people doubt us, and we would laugh. We had days where we drove each other nuts, and we would always come back to resolve. We're rooted in a love deeper than anything I could have ever prayed for."

Jed revealed that he popped the question on Friday, July 15.

"Leading up to [that day], I felt so many different emotions. Turns out, spending a few months knowing you're going to propose to the woman of your dreams can take a toll. But every possible second of struggle that led to this moment was worth it," Jed shared.

"Ellen is the coolest, most fun, funny, down to earth, hardest working, healthiest eating, routine doing, long walking, breath of fresh air I've ever met."

Jef proceeded to list some "facts," writing, "I don't remember what I said down there on one knee, but with the tears flowing, Ellen Decker said yes to me. I am elated to get to spend this life with you."

"I get to love you, protect you, support you, and buy you endless amounts of sprinkles," he gushed.

"Waking up next to that ring on your hand the past couple days has been one of the happiest feelings I have felt in my life. You deserve it all, Ellen. Without further ado, how perfect is my fiancee."

Jed debuted Ellen on his Instagram Stories in October 2019 and then the couple went Instagram official one month later around Thanksgiving. At the time, Jed shared a photo of himself and Ellen riding a jet ski together in Miami, FL.

In the caption, Jed called the blonde beauty "the only person to make me smile more than riding a jetski." Jed also seemingly revealed "Jellen" as the couple's nickname in one of his hashtags for the post.

According to her Instagram account, Ellen is a personal trainer, model and teacher who moved to Miami in late 2017.

Prior to moving to Miami, Ellen, a Massachusetts native, attended Southern New Hampshire University and was a member of the school's women's lacrosse team, according to SNHU's athletics website.

Jed was previously engaged to Hannah. He proposed marriage to her during The Bachelorette season finale, which aired in 2019.

Hannah recalled having doubts in her mind and heart about getting engaged to Jed on The Bachelorette's fifteenth-season finale in her memoir, God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life's Best (and Worst) Moments, which hit store shelves in November 2021.

Hannah wrote that she knew her husband wasn't in the room on Night 1 of filming The Bachelorette and she should have trusted her gut once Jed popped the question at the end of her season, Us Weekly reported.

"I was caught up in the magic and the fantasy of it all when all of a sudden he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring, and I thought... No. I can't. This isn't what it is supposed to be like," Hannah shared in her book.

"I said yes anyway. It's hard to explain how conflicted I felt. Jed hadn't done anything wrong. I cared about him. And the engagement itself was dreamy -- but it wasn't necessarily my dream."

Hannah selected Jed over her runner-up Tyler Cameron and third-place finisher Peter Weber on The Bachelorette.

Hannah confessed she was completely torn over whom to choose as her winner after her romantic overnight Fantasy-Suite dates.

Because she had slept with Peter multiple times, Hannah reportedly felt like she couldn't send the pilot home. And after being "completely open" with Tyler and making out with him "like crazy," she woke up thinking, "I cannot lose him," according to the magazine.

And Jed, whom Hannah slept with after Peter, was apparently "the only one who didn't feel so confusing."

Hannah reportedly compared her final decisions -- after an "exhausting" and "demanding" dating process -- of Season 15 to a game of MASH.

Hannah ultimately dumped Jed about a month after his marriage proposal because he had lied to her about his dating history.

Jed initially told Hannah that his romance with ex Haley Stevens ended one week before taping commenced, but Haley told People in June 2019 that Jed had left Nashville to film the show in March of that year still dating her.

Haley also alleged in her interview Jed had said he was only going on the show to promote his music and they'd resume their relationship once he returned home.

Jed quickly became a controversial figure and the target of hate as The Bachelorette fans rallied around Hannah during and after the finale aired in late July 2019 on ABC.

Jed apologized for his behavior multiple times on the finale and insisted he truly loved Hannah, but it just wasn't enough to convince Hannah to stay in the toxic relationship. The former couple apparently had problems even before the Haley incident occurred.

Jed told People in September 2019 that he was ready to leave his The Bachelorette experience in the past.

"All in all, life's changed: perspective and lessons were learned. I'm pushing forward to be better in every aspect that I can be," Jed said at the time. "I just want to pursue my life as Jed, kind of a new path. Hopefully, not carry the baggage of The Bachelorette."

Hannah eventually ran into Jed and Ellen at Bachelor in Paradise couple Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour's engagement party in February 2020.

"We avoided each other at first, until I got up the courage to walk right up to him and say hello. I didn't want it to be awkward," Hannah explained. "He said he was doing good, and I said, 'Good. Good for you.' And that was about it."
