Kaitlyn recently took to Instagram to reveal that a panic attack prevented her from walking the red carpet ahead of the 2023 People's Choice Country Awards in Nashville, TN, that aired September 28 on NBC and Peacock.

"These pics were all taken today," Kaitlyn captioned a series of photos, which included images of Kaitlyn crying, exercising and then having a spa day.

"Today was rough. But I pushed through. Was supposed to go to the peoples choice country music awards tonight but my body had other plans."

The Bachelorette Season 11 star -- who also co-hosted two back-to-back seasons of The Bachelorette in 2021 -- continued, "A panic attack, (I've only had 4 real ones in my life)."

Kaitlyn went on to reveal how she ultimately recovered from the panic attack, starting with "a light work out" to move her body.

Kaitlyn proceeded to have "a relaxing facial" and "hair appointment," followed by some time much needed time to just relax and "rest."

The 38-year-old former Dancing with the Stars winner concluded, "Listen to your body. Emotions are wild man."

Kaitlyn's breakdown comes nearly two months after she and her ex-fiance Jason Tartick announced their split on August 6.

Although he's still mending a broken heart, Jason stepped out on the red carpet at the People's Choice Country Awards.

When Kaitlyn starred on The Bachelorette's eleventh season in 2015, she got engaged to her winner, Shawn Booth. The pair, however, announced they had decided to call off their engagement after three years together in November 2018.

Kaitlyn then began dating Jason from The Bachelorette's fourteenth season starring Becca Kufrin in January 2019.

Kaitlyn and the former banker's relationship moved quickly.

Jason relocated from his place in Seattle, WA, to live with Kaitlyn in Nashville in June 2019, and then the "Trading Secrets" podcast host popped the question in May 2021.

Kaitlyn and Jason, however, never followed through with planning a wedding after their engagement, which raised eyebrows and eventually prompted breakup speculation.

While Kaitlyn and Jason split rumors were circulating, Shawn revealed on his podcast that he's going to be a dad with a woman named Audrey "Dre" Joseph, who had taken professional and promotional photos of him and is a member at his gym.

Kaitlyn and Jason then confirmed they had called it quits on their relationship, after more than four years together, in early August.

Weeks later, Shawn said of Kaitlyn's second broken engagement, "Hopefully, she figures out what she wants and can get to a place where she's happy."

Shawn continued, "I know it's obviously very tough to go through a breakup, and then putting it out there for the world to see -- that adds a whole other layer. So, yeah, I feel for her for that."

Since going public with their breakup news, Kaitlyn and Jason have been trying to heal and cope with the loss of each other, all while navigating the media and being public figures.

Jason recently said he went through "tidal waves of depression" and a "flood of emotions" while trying to move on from Kaitlyn, and he just shared on his podcast that he's cried more in the last two months than he has in his entire life.

Kaitlyn, for her part, revealed on her "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast that she and Jason had failed to prioritize their relationship and weren't "choosing" each other on a daily basis.

Kaitlyn insisted no one was at fault or was to blame for the demise of her and Jason's relationship, but she did point out that social media "played a part" in their breakup.

"[It was] not like cheating or anything, but just pressures or feeling like we're putting on a performative show," Kaitlyn explained on her podcast earlier this summer.

That probably helps to explain why Kaitlyn decided to take a near two-week hiatus from social media after her breakup with Jason made headlines. After all, Kaitlyn recently said her mental health "hit rock bottom" after things with Jason didn't work out.

The former The Bachelorette star has cried on her podcast about her split from Jason, but she has assured fans that she has nothing but respect for Jason and their romance ended amicably. They also continue to co-parent the two dogs they had adopted together during better times.

However, Kaitlyn recently vented about how Jason could've protected her more from public scrutiny and backlash after they parted ways.
