The Bachelorette alum Rachel Lindsay has explained why her relationship with husband Bryan Abasolo has been off the grid and where he's been "hiding."

"Everyone is always asking 'Where is Bryan?'" the 37-year-old former The Bachelorette star captioned an Instagram post on Thursday.

The post featured a slideshow of videos and photos featuring the sweet couple, who fell in love on The Bachelorette's thirteenth season.

Since Rachel and Bryan hardly ever post about each other on social media, fans were able to see rare glimpses into the couple dancing, snuggling, strolling through a meadow, and singing together at a concert.

Rachel then directed her followers to read a blog post on her Honestly, Rach website to find out where Bryan, 42, has "been hiding." She titled her blog post, "#RnB Public vs Private."

"The most common questions I get on social media are: where is Bryan and when are you having babies?" Rachel began.

Rachel quickly noted how she's already publicly addressed the baby situation.

Back in May, Rachel said on Bryan's "Talking It Out with Bachelor Nation" podcast that she and her husband were "already taking steps" to having a baby, although she wouldn't confirm whether the couple was actually trying to conceive.

"It is time I tackled: where is Bryan? Let me be frank, Bryan is none of your business. I am joking... well half joking. I totally understand the reasoning behind the inquiries, the curiosity, and the interest. We met on a reality television show centered on finding love," Rachel acknowledged.

Rachel said she understands how the ABC audience became "invested" in the couple's love story and their future together.

"They watched as two strangers had an instant connection and navigated their way through 30 other relationships to return to each other. They saw the progression from flirtation to doubt to engagement. We not only learned about each other but about our love for one another," Rachel wrote.

"In a reality television world that is designed for your relationship to fail, we survived and came out on top. So quite naturally, the audience wants to know what we are doing, if we are okay, and what is next for our future. They want the love story to still play out for their public perception."

But Rachel noted, "Our contractual public story ended on August 7, 2017."

"At that point, we decided that we wanted to control the future of our relationship. Up until that point, the confines of our relationship were determined for us. Now we were free, and we jointly decided to pull away from the public eye to build a strong, solid foundation," Rachel continued.

"And we successfully did that. So, it is interesting to me that people want to define the success and happiness of our relationship by the number of social media posts, comments, likes, and stories we post."

Rachel said she and Bryan consistently stay true to who they are as a couple by "carefully choosing" what they want to disclose to the press and fans everywhere.

"It is so easy to fall into the social media trap as an indicator to the status of one's relationship. But how many times have you seen a couple post about their love and happiness only to announce their breakup 2 days later on that same platform?" Rachel reasoned.

"Social media is not a reflection of reality. It is an insight into the parts of our lives we choose to share with the public. Bryan and I choose not to share too much. That is mostly rooted in the origin of our union."

Rachel pointed out how dating Bryan in a public manner allowed "complete strangers" to voice their "many unwarranted feelings and opinions" about their relationship.

"We did not want those voices to be louder than the two actually involved in the relationship," Rachel admitted.

"I remember at the beginning of our relationship we found ourselves concerned about how we were acting in public and continuously felt the pressure to perform for social media because that is what the people wanted."

Rachel confessed that her heightened sensitivity to the public's reaction was a "miserable" way to live with Bryan.

"We were slowly drifting away from the core of Bryan and Rachel and forming into the RnB narrative that that world created for us. We vowed to never do that again," Rachel revealed.

"So, when the days, weeks, and maybe even months go by without a social media post of Rachel and Bryan...don't worry. We are good over here privately cherishing our love and building a future as one san social media."

Rachel found fame when she competed on Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor and got eliminated after Fantasy Suites.

Rachel proceeded to star on The Bachelorette's thirteenth season, which aired in 2017, and she was shown selecting Bryan over her runner-up Peter Kraus at the Final Rose Ceremony.

After the attorney-turned-media personality and Bryan got engaged, they lived in Rachel's hometown of Dallas, TX, for a while before moving to Miami, FL, in 2019 where Bryan continued working as a chiropractor.

Rachel and Bryan got married in Cancun, Mexico in August 2019, and their relationship has since overcome distance -- given Rachel moved back to California in 2020 for her job with Extra -- as well as an early 2021 racism scandal during Matt James' season of The Bachelor.

In April 2021, Rachel revealed that Bryan had moved to Los Angeles to be with her -- "back where we belong."

Bryan then gushed of his wife in June 2021 to Us Weekly, "Rachel just had like an X-factor [when I met her]."

"She was a triple threat -- brains, beauty, personality, great sense of humor," he added. "She was a professional. She had a career. Everything on paper was top notch... She keeps me on my toes [and] she challenges me to be a better man."
