The Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron has revealed that he only had $200 in his bank account when he was dating supermodel Gigi Hadid and he had to ask his father to help him out at times.

Tyler, who finished as the runner-up on Season 15 of The Bachelorette starring Hannah Brown, appeared on Jason Tartick's "Trading Secrets" podcast on March 13, and he shared a jaw-dropping story about his short-lived experience dating Gigi.

Jason recalled eating sushi with Tyler after the former Florida contractor's The Bachelorette stint, when Tyler had begun dating Gigi.

"He was laughing because he goes to me, 'Dude, I don't know what the f-ck I'm doing. I've got $5,000 in my bank account. I don't know what my next job is, and I'm dating Gigi Hadid.' What was that like?" Jason, who competed on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season for Becca Kufrin, asked Tyler.

"Not even $5,000 -- I had, like, $200," Tyler revealed.

"I remember going on dates. This was during my early dates in New York City. I'm living on [The Bachelor 25 star Matt James'] beanbag. I have no money, but I'm the happiest I've ever been because it's like the world is wide open to me in New York City. I can do whatever I want."

Tyler then recalled having to call his father while he was on dates.

"I'd be calling pops up in the bathroom like, 'Yo, pops, I don't think my credit card is going to go through. I need you to send me some money right now.' He's like, 'You got it, son. Go get it!'" Tyler shared.

Tyler said once his father sent him money, he'd be able to "cover dinner and whatnot."

"But I remember there were some touch-and-go points where I was like, 'Man, hopefully my card swipes. I'd be [using it] with my eyes shut, like, 'Please go through. Please go through!'" Tyler said.

When asked how Tyler managed to take care of Gigi with 200 bucks to his name, Tyler replied, "You're just crossing your fingers at this point. At this point, I don't even know what a credit card is. I had a straight debit card. So when you hit zero, you hit zero."

Tyler confirmed his card luckily "kept swiping," but then he'd have to ask his parents for money again because he wasn't able to make money after the show due to his contract with ABC.

Tyler and Gigi, the best friend of Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner, appeared to begin dating in early August 2019 after Tyler's The Bachelorette season aired -- and not long after the pair began following each other on Instagram.

The pair was then spotted out together multiple times in New York City.

Tyler and Gigi went public with their relationship when Gigi brought Tyler to a 2019 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty at The Fleur Room at the Moxy Chelsea hotel in late August 2019, according to Us Weekly.

Tyler also accompanied Gigi to her grandmother's funeral in the Netherlands in early September 2019.

Not only has Gigi modeled in high-profile campaigns and runway shows, such as the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but she has also graced the covers of magazines including Vogue.

"Gigi thinks Tyler is really cute and nice and liked that he was a good listener. They are both taking things slow but have both made it clear they are interested in each other," a source told E! News at the time.

But Tyler and Gigi broke up about two months after they became romantically involved.

"We're just friends. Just friends," Tyler told Entertainment Tonight in late September 2019.

"I mean... that's just where we're at. Our relationship doesn't need to be public. She's good people, she's an amazing person and we're just keeping it friendly."

He added, "We have a great time together. We hung out a few times, that's all... She's great. We'll leave it at that."

In October 2019, an insider told E! News that Gigi and Tyler had broken up a few weeks prior.

"The relationship was moving quickly and was too much for both of them," the insider explained. "The split was amicable and they are still friendly."

Around that time, Tyler began focusing on a modeling career of his own.

While Tyler had already amassed a couple of million followers before his romance with Gigi, he said his dates with the supermodel essentially "solidified" his stardom and relevance.

But Tyler admitted he's not cut out to be a social media influencer and it wouldn't be a "fulfilling" job for him.

Also during his podcast appearance, Tyler shared how it would take him about $1 million to star on The Bachelor. He added of the potential opportunity, "Never say never... But I think The Bachelor needs to evolve a little. I think it's just still set, like, it's still the same thing production-wise."

As for where they are now in their love lives, Gigi recently sparked rumors with Leonardo DiCaprio.

And fans have been speculating for months that Tyler is dating -- or at least hooking up with -- former Very Cavallari star Kristin Cavallari.

But Kristin confirmed on an early February episode of the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast that she and Tyler are "not dating."

"I love Tyler, he's such a good guy. He's great. And he was my New Year's date and we had a ton of fun, but we're not [an item]. He's not my boyfriend. I don't have a boyfriend," The Hills alum said.

Prior to making headlines with Kristin, Tyler -- who finished as the runner-up on Fox's The Real Dirty Dancing -- was allegedly dumped by model Camila Kendra in August 2021 after eight months of dating.

Camila appeared to break up with Tyler shortly after he publicly announced that he was "very in love" with her.

"Things were going well until they weren't," an insider told Us in August 2021. "Friends were surprised things ended so quickly."

Tyler previously said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he's looking for "someone whose smile is contagious" and "can light up a room."

Tyler also shared that it's important how his significant other treats "the people around them."

The model wants his future girlfriend to "respect the server, their parents, their friends," adding, "That's big for me... [And] she's got to be beautiful too."

In February 2022, Tyler told E!'s Daily Pop during a joint appearance with Kristin that he was also searching for a woman who is "hungry and ambitious" as well as "family oriented" and "ready for an adventure."

Tyler finished Hannah's season of The Bachelorette in second place behind winner and aspiring country singer Jed Wyatt.

Hannah broke up with Jed shortly after they got engaged and attempted to reconnect with Tyler during her After the Final Rose special, which aired in July 2019.

Hannah recalled receiving mixed signals and navigating a confusing relationship with Tyler from 2019-2020 in her first memoir, God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life's Best (and Worst) Moments, which was released in November 2021.

Not only did Hannah write that she felt like Tyler's "backup player who never got to play in the game," but she also said their relationship "wasn't some game" to her and he "broke" her heart when he began dating Gigi shortly after The Bachelorette 15 wrapped on TV.

Hannah and Tyler never dated again after the show, and they claim they never even kissed while quarantining with each other for several weeks amid the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

And Hannah claimed Tyler's last text to her was, "Well... if you rock with me, you rock with me. If you don't, you don't."

But Tyler noted on "The Bellas Podcast" once Hannah's book was released in late 2021, "I've got receipts, too!"
