The Bachelorette alum Tyler Gwozdz has died at age 29 following an apparent drug overdose.

Tyler, who was a salesman and psychology graduate student from Boca Raton, FL when he competed on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette last year, died on January 22 after spending about a week in the hospital, People reported.

Tyler's body is reportedly currently with the Palm Beach Medical Examiner's Office and an autopsy will take a about eight to 12 weeks to complete.

A spokesperson for the Boca Raton Police Services Department told People on Thursday that they "responded to a medical overdose" involving Tyler on Monday, January 13 and "the case is an active ongoing investigation."

The 911 call that resulted in police officers and paramedics attending to Tyler was obtained by the magazine, and the unidentified woman on the phone could reportedly be heard frantically trying to locate Narcan, a nasal spray that can help reverse an opioid overdose, after breaking down the door to a bathroom Tyler was inside.

The woman reportedly managed to turn Tyler on his back once she discovered him on the floor.

TMZ reported the woman claimed heroin might've been involved, but the official cause of Tyler's death has yet to be confirmed.

After being found on January 13 in a bathroom, Tyler was admitted to the intensive care unit in a hospital in Boca Raton, TMZ reported.

Tyler was reportedly said to be in critical but stable condition at the time; however, he was no longer listed as a patient in the hospital's system on January 21.

Tyler's family has yet to provide a comment on the incident and Tyler's tragic death.

On The Bachelorette's fifteenth season, Tyler won a rose on Night 1 and then received the very first one-on-one date of the season in which he and Hannah enjoyed a helicopter ride followed by some ATVing in the mud.

Tyler said on his date he felt like the "luckiest guy in the world" and believed a fairy tale was starting. He received a rose during the night portion of their date.

However, Tyler had a sudden and largely unexplained exit from The Bachelorette in Episode 3, and fans were left totally in the dark about what had transpired.

Viewers received nothing but a one-sentence explanation from Hannah about Tyler's departure in which she told her bachelors that Tyler "had to leave" the show and it was "upsetting" because they had developed a romantic connection.

At the time, Tyler's stint on The Bachelorette seemed to end prematurely due to an anonymous Reddit thread posted in March 2019 that accused the suitor of spitting on an ex-girlfriend and being an "extreme misogynist."

The Reddit user also claimed two friends from Tyler's high school referred to him as the "biggest a-sh-le douche of all time."

The Reddit user then called ABC and producers out, saying, "Why are they doing Hannah like this?"

But Tyler denied the startling accusations against him, saying the real reason behind his departure didn't air out of respect for his privacy.

"Addressing totally unsubstantiated rumors posted to Reddit from an anonymous account seems imprudent," Tyler wrote to Refinery29 via email in May 2019.

"I feel that even addressing them gives them some sort attention and fuel but I continue to have faith in my journey and in a purpose for everything that's happened to me in my life."

Tyler continued, "Above everything else I am a son to my mother. She raised me to be better than these sort of baseless accusations. The rumors are so far out of the realm of my personality and values that it seems silly to waste time denying, but I suppose I will for the record. BUT I will be alright."

Tyler insisted his exit was a mutual decision among The Bachelorette producers and himself.

"This was a decision that I came to with producers, and something that I've come to realize what is the best decision that could've been made," Tyler wrote.

Tyler graduated from Trinity College-Hartford in 2012 and played Varsity lacrosse for the school. He was also a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity.

Prior to appearing on The Bachelorette, Tyler worked in sales and marketing for the beverage industry.

The Bachelorette bachelor said last year his goal in life was to get his PhD in psychology and become a clinical psychologist.
