The Bachelorette couple Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes are enjoying a real hometown date in Canada, where Katie has gotten to see Blake's stomping grounds.

Shortly after going public with their engagement, Katie, who currently resides in Seattle, WA, and Blake from Hamilton, Toronto, took off to the wildlife specialist's hometown in Canada to do some sight seeing and exploring.

Katie and Blake watched the first episode of Bachelor in Paradise together on Monday night at what appeared to be Blake's home, and Katie just revealed that she plans to stay in her fiance's home country until later this week.

Katie then shared on Instagram Stories how she'll be moving into her new place in San Diego on September 1 and then meeting up with Blake later on in New York.

Katie posted a collection of photos and videos on Instagram Stories from her trip to Canada, which included a stop in Niagra Falls and a boat ride to see the waterfalls before moving on to Toronto, over the weekend, People reported.

The pair tasted champagne, dined on desserts, and Katie apparently ordered the Canadian classic dish, a basket of poutine, to try.

In one video Katie uploaded, she was reportedly all giggles while trying to convince Blake to take a serious photo with her.

The Season 17 The Bachelorette star joked with Blake, "I hate you so much! I hate and love you."

Blake recently said he and Katie wanted to get back to their roots and learn more about each other's lifestyles and interests after becoming an official couple.

"And we're playing around with options," Blake told People, adding that their plans remain flexible.

"We're not ones to have too much of a routine. We want to jump around [between the U.S. and Canada] rather than choosing one place to settle down. We want to experience life."

On Saturday, Katie also gushed about her blossoming relationship with Blake, who proposed marriage on The Bachelorette's Season 17 finale last week.

"My entire life, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I was accepted into WSU [Washington State University] but chose to start with community college first after graduating from high school," Katie captioned a photo of herself feeding a giraffe.

"Like many plans, they never go as expected, and I started working in the financial industry that would continue for the next decade. Today, I am now engaged to a man who shares the same passion for animals and together, we can really make an impact. I'm excited for the upcoming projects we have planned and can't wait to share with you all!"

Katie recently admitted she was totally shocked by Blake's marriage proposal but is so glad that he chose to commit to her at the end of her season.

"It's hard to say the impact of that in the real world, [if he didn't pop the question], because you go through so much and you want to take this very seriously -- and a proposal and engagement is very serious," Katie told Us Weekly.

"I didn't come here to find a boyfriend. I can do that on a dating app," she added. "So it's hard to say if we would have survived just as a dating couple."

Katie said her relationship with Blake is incredibly strong now that they've promised each other forever.

"The fact that we're both committed to each other as future husband and wife, it just says a lot about our confidence in our relationship," Katie said.

Now that Katie and Blake are happily engaged, the couple is already receiving questions about their wedding.

However, the couple told Us last week that they are in no rush to tie the knot, although Katie said she has "no doubt" marriage is in their future.

"At some point, there is certainly a wedding. There's no doubt about that," Katie acknowledged.

When Blake proposed marriage to Katie on The Bachelorette finale, he said being Katie's last man standing felt like a fairy-tale and they had a connection that initially seemed too good to be true.

"I know how great of a wife you're going to be and mother you're going to be. But I know there's things that scare you," Blake told Katie.

"I know that you in the past have talked about how you've had to compromise who you are to make relationships work, and I don't want you to do that. But I can't give you what you came her for."

"Because you deserve a lot more than that. You deserve the world, and I'm excited to support you and be there for you every day moving forward... Will you marry me?"

Katie shouted in reply, "Yes!"
