The Bachelorette's Juan Pablo Galavis is reportedly nearing a deal to become the next The Bachelor star.

"He's been told the gig is his if he wants it," a show source told E! News. "He's definitely interested and will most likely accept, although nothing's been signed yet."
The 31-year-old Venezuelan former pro soccer player from Miami, FL, would star as the reality dating series' eighteenth-season Bachelor after failing to win the heart of The Bachelorette's current ninth-season star Desiree Hartsock.
"Not only do women seem to love him, casting him will help soothe accusations the series doesn't include enough minorities," added the source.
The Bachelor producers reportedly have high hopes of getting Galavis to ink a contract, however, ABC declined comment on the speculation.

Galavis was hugely popular with the female audience at The Men Tell All taping, as he got the loudest applause of all the men and received a fairly long segment in the hot seat with The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison after only making it about halfway through the season.
When asked his thoughts about potentially becoming the next Bachelor after the special, Galavis told E! News, "That's pretty tough. I saw Desiree, what she went through. I hate hurting people. I hate hurting girls. I hate looking at girls cry. It'll be very tough. I have a family, my daughter. Being away from her was very tough. It's going to be a very tough decision to make."
According to an additional E! News report, if Galavis doesn't sign on as the next Bachelor, the two remaining Final 3 men who don't end up with Hartsock are also being considered for the position. The Bachelorette's three remaining ninth-season suitors are Chris Siegfried, Brooks Forester and Drew Kenney.
Only men who have appeared on The Bachelorette are reportedly in the running to become the next Bachelor.
