The Bachelorette star Clare Crawley reportedly didn't actually blow up Season 16 of the show because producers allegedly planned to replace Clare with Tayshia Adams all along, even before filming began.

It's been widely reported Tayshia took over for Clare on Season 16 of The Bachelorette after Clare allegedly fell in love with bachelor Dale Moss, a 31-year-old model and former college basketball and football player from Brandon, SD, just 12 days into filming and therefore quit the show.

A source even told Life & Style that Clare "refused to come out of her room" at one point to film dates with men.

"The reports about Clare refusing to film, locking herself in closets, and quitting the show to be with Dale aren't correct," Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone wrote in his blog on September 30.

According to Carbone, producers were way ahead of the curve and it was actually their plan from the start to bring Tayshia in as Clare's The Bachelorette replacement mid-season.

"The reports that came out during filming of production being caught off guard, Clare putting them in a tough spot, they didn't know what to do, etc. is all BS," Carbone wrote.

"They knew they were bringing in Tayshia to take over as Bachelorette at some point during the season, before filming even started."

Clare therefore reportedly never left producers scrambling over how to proceed with the season because Tayshia was proactively brought to La Quinta Resort & Club to begin quarantining nine days after Clare began filming the season.

"I can report to you that this was in production's plan before Clare's season started. They knew Clare would be removed at some point during this season and replaced as the Bachelorette by Tayshia," Carbone explained.

Production reportedly planned for Clare's early departure because it was obvious to everyone even before filming began in July that Clare was smitten with Dale.

Clare previously admitted she had researched some of her 32 potential suitors who were announced back in March, before filming got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Clare had a total of four months to google some of the men and check out their social-media accounts, including Dale, who was one of 17 original cast members announced back in March to appear on Season 16 and date Clare.

"Clearly during that time, she fell for Dale," Carbone said of Clare.

However, Carbone says he confirmed The Bachelor alum Michelle Money's claims Clare never communicated with or got to know Dale prior to meeting him face-to-face on Night 1 of the show.

"There was no pre-show relationship, talking, texting, etc between Clare and Dale. [But] Clare clearly had a frontrunner in her head going into filming, and that was Dale," Carbone noted.

The Bachelorette production could reportedly tell that Clare was already crazy about Dale in her pre-show conversations.

"Production 'knew' Clare and Dale were gonna end up being a thing based on pre-show conversations, knowing that this season might be boring because of the one location shoot, they decide to have Tayshia 'ready' to go once Clare and Dale went down," Carbone explained.

Production didn't think Clare would be able to hide her feelings about Dale and put on a show for the cameras for weeks.

"So I guess the question comes down to, what would you have rather her do? Fake it for a whole season with guys she wasn't nearly as into, or, decide to leave with Dale once they realized they wanted to be with each other?" Carbone wrote in his blog.

"Did Clare know? No. Did the guys know? No. But production sure as hell did."

The spoiler blogger continued, "So Clare falling for Dale early, something production had a sense would happen due to conversation with Clare pre-show and them knowing she was into him, this was gonna be their 'twist' from this season," Carbone wrote.

Carbone admitted while he can't prove this and The Bachelorette producers will probably never admit it, he insisted, "It wasn't even Clare's decision to end the show with Dale."

"It was production's [idea]," Carbone clarified. "They were the ones that went to HER bringing up the scenario of basically,'What do you think of ending this now with Dale?' They both agreed."

When Clare and production had this conversation, Tayshia was reportedly already at the set quarantining and ready to go.

Clare is now reportedly engaged to and still in love with Dale.

Us Weekly and People previously reported that Clare and Dale's relationship began before cameras started rolling for Season 16.

Dale "contacted her before the show and they really hit it off," a source told Us in August. "They would DM a bunch and then started FaceTiming and things moved quickly.

People reported similar findings, claiming that one of Clare's potential bachelors "found a way to get in touch with her and they began talking" earlier this year.

"By the time filming officially began, they were basically already in love. No one else stood a chance," a source explained to People at the time.

"It just became so obvious from her subsequent few dates that her heart wasn't in it and she just wasn't feeling it. Then she said she wanted out."

Michelle, however, denied reports Clare communicated with Dale prior to the start of filming Season 16, dismissing them as "fake news."

"Clare Crawley never spoke to Dale before filming. That is 1,000 percent factual information," Michelle, who is Clare's good friend, said in her Instagram Stories reposted by Access. "Never happened. Fake news."

"She was impressed by his social media account," conceded Michele, who competed for Brad Womack's heart on The Bachelor's fifteenth season and also appeared on Season 2 of Bachelor Pad.

"But never DM'd, never texted, never talked. 1,000 percent fake news... [And] if the rumors are true, that she fell in love with Dale and stopped filming, can I just get a 'hell yeah' on how much self-respect and respect for the other men it takes to stop production."

The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison teased in late August that Clare and Tayshia had completed filming Season 16 because he was back home.

ABC formally announced Clare's official cast of 31 bachelors for Season 16 late last month.

According to Carbone, 16 men stuck around for Tayshia once Clare was replaced and production also brought in four additional men -- brand new guys -- for Tayshia to date.

The Bachelorette's sixteenth season is set to premiere Tuesday, October 13 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, pending the schedule of the NBA Finals.

Although The Bachelorette typically airs on Monday nights every year, Dancing with the Stars is airing on Monday nights instead, so The Bachelorette will air on Tuesday nights this year.

The Bachelorette was supposed to begin filming in March and premiere on May 18, but global health restrictions in light of the coronavirus pandemic had shut down nearly all Hollywood productions.
